The meaning behind Ichigo's complete fullbring design

The Catalyst

If Zangetsu's shikai is when Old Man Zangetsu completely dominates Ichigo's soul. I'd say his complete fullbring form would be when White has the most influence over Ichigo's soul. But how? Well, to get there we must go over Ginjo's explanation first.

https://preview.redd.it/5mvwynox5vge1.png?width=887&format=png&auto=webp&s=345cc670ca341193896c21efd2e1463f556b9f11

The word \"natural\" is extremely important

Ginjo's explanation shaped Ichigo's understanding of fullbring. Ichigo now has an impression that fullbring in itself is mainly a hollow-based power. In order to draw his shinigami power back, he must solely rely on the hollow, mixing it completely rather than separating it like how he did with hollowfication.

Intentionally or not, Ichigo's own understanding is actually right on the mark. His own shinigami power is a natural mixed between hollow and shinigami, it is not something that should be considered as a separate power therefore, this is the first time that Ichigo has an actual grasp on the inner working of his own soul albeit incomplete and unintentional.

Ichigo's hunger for power is also important, he wants power, it can be anything he just want enough power to protect his friend. This pretty much allows Ichigo to overcome his aversion toward his hollow side, he has no luxury of picking what he wants anymore.

In Bleach, user's own perception has a huge effect in their abilities, and this is one of the clearest examples, but you'd only catch on this after you have all the information about Ichigo's birth.

The Key Factor

https://preview.redd.it/s43sgspe8vge1.png?width=444&format=png&auto=webp&s=6d5e6aae64bfb52ffe9f393f5761a778ff739d68

Not only Ichigo's mindset is important, but what Ichigo uses as his fullbring focus is also a crucial matter. Ichigo relies on his deputy badge as a way to activate his power and we all know what its function is.

If we considered the timing, it is perfectly understandable why Ichigo's fullbring is completely dominated by White's influence. Ichigo received the badge at the tail end of Soul Society Arc, this is when White's influence starts creeping in, so the spiritual energy that his badge analyzed and collected is mostly hollow-based power.

Therefore, combining this with Ichigo's own understanding and the component that he uses to activate his fullbring, it is no wonder why his completed fullbring took the shape that it did in canon.

The Design

Ichigo's completed fullbring has little to no resemblance to his shinigami power, but it does resemble something...

The design that everybody loves

If you read TYBW and go back to The Lost Agent, Ichigo fullbring is simply a more refine form of White's original hollow appearance albeit with a color swap.

https://preview.redd.it/6e56fserbvge1.png?width=950&format=png&auto=webp&s=fde69798d7ba41ed022b5ee0ca4b44a8a7fda5e1

https://preview.redd.it/5sr3mb6sbvge1.png?width=439&format=png&auto=webp&s=96fdf269202a96fee84daa11e11ca62774877627

By covering himself in white armor, it also rhymes with Aizen's words regarding the nature that lies within. Ichigo has almost complete understanding on the nature of his fullbring: It is a hollow power naturally mixed with shinigami power. There's no bias nor rejection, only an understanding.

This is why Ichigo feels no fatigue from using this power despite it being the same hollow-based power as his mask. This isn't something that Ichigo has to subjugate; it is his power that he readily accepts as a part of himself.

However, the incomplete understanding is still an incomplete understanding, unlike Ichigo's true shikai, his complete fullbring is still mixed with blackness. In my opinion, the color of black signifies the unknown, lies and falsehood while the color white is the exact opposite.

Ichigo doesn't have the full picture, he's closer than ever before, but not there yet. It's only when Ichigo learned the whole truth and reforged his zanpakuto, it's only then that Ichigo's blade turned completely white, signifying his complete dominance and clarity over his own soul.

https://preview.redd.it/l66215tievge1.png?width=893&format=png&auto=webp&s=f34c2d34508fed576c750b394faf0c438a07c98d

Now, does OMZ have some influence over Ichigo's fullbring? Of course, he does. He will always be there as long as Ichigo is still alive.

The blade's design tells us all we need to know.

OMZ simply got smaller, but he's still there. Unlike before, this time White utterly has an upper hand over Ichigo's quincy side.

Do Quincy and fullbringers count as human ?

In my honest opinion both of them are just humans with above average level of spiritual pressure but only difference is one uses spiritual atoms and uses souls , like how are quinces even created like ? we know fullbringers are a piece of a soul king and hollow spiritual pressure but did the soul king bless quinces as well ? Since yhawch said “ all quinces share the same blood as me “ . I know that of you might say that they are “ not human “ but by that logic ichigo is only and shinigami and hollow because in human form he is a half blooded quincy who cannot use basic abilities of the race outside of blut vene ? so what exactly are they ?

Do you think Bleach would be much different if both Zangetsu's did what noone else did and told Ichigo what was going on with his powers at getting Shikai/Bankai?

As title.

Unpopular Opinion; Kubo made the right call with Byakuya in TWBW (Spoilers for TYBW)

Byakuya Surviving Was Fine—The Real Mistake Was Thinking It Undermined Anything

So, here's the thing: Byakuya surviving Bleach's war? Not the tragedy people think it is. In fact, it was probably the smartest decision Kubo made. Let’s be real: Bleach has never been about emotional depth or “heart-wrenching” deaths. It's about flashy fights, insane power-ups, and characters who can’t stay dead for five minutes.

People love to complain about his survival, but honestly, what would killing him off have added? Bleach doesn't do grief the way other series do. If it did, half the cast would be six feet under already. Byakuya surviving let us see him grow—learn some humility, actually become a mentor, and evolve beyond his initial icy persona. That’s a much more satisfying arc than just tossing him off for the sake of "emotional impact."

Yet, somehow, we’re still debating whether it “ruined” the story. If you think keeping him alive cheapened his sacrifice, you missed the point. The show isn’t about tragic deaths. It’s about the characters sticking around, facing their flaws, and making the most of it. So, yeah, Byakuya living was the right choice.

And no, that’s not a hot take. It’s just the truth.

There's only 5 people Ichigo used honorifics with

In the Japanese dub, when addressing someone, you usually address them with their last name, followed by an honorific unless they're a relative or a friend. Examples of honorifics are San, Kun, Dono, Sama etc.

Ichigo is a unique character in bleach in the fact that he's the only character in the show that refuses to use honorifics with anyone regardless of age or rank, including humans, soul reapers, hollows, Quincy and arancars. There's only 5 exceptions who Ichigo has always used their last name, followed by an honorific with. These 5 are urahara, tessai, yorouichi, Yamamoto, and rangiku. 3 of them are probably because they are his teachers for a brief moment.

Urahara and tessai trained him for 10 days and yorouichi trained him for 2 days and neither of them have any official affiliation with the soul society. The other 2 are members of the gotei 13. I can understand him calling Yamamoto with an honorific but I wonder why he also made an exception for rangiku, considering he didn't know about her connection with his father yet at the time, and he didn't know that his father was a soul reaper yet. Also he still refused to call toshiro by any honorific even though he calls his lieutenant by an honorific.

Just a little observation I've made

Downvote me as much as you want, Bleach's female cast is extremely overrated and isn't even the best in big 3

That's it, i'm not going to write much. The series does just some little more than the "basic" for the female cast and people start to say things such as it being one of the best in anime. Please stop, Bleach female cast ism't any better written than One Piece's female cast (i'm saying that as someone who watched just half of one piece)

The female cast is... medium to good, but that's all, nothing too great in it

Does burn the witch have their own soul king?

So this is set in a different universe right? So by all means they must have someone governing their own realms and people I wonder if it would be as corrupt as the current one or not if they do

Who is the morally grey faction?

I feel it’d be the Shinigamis because of their past actions, even though we’ve seen them do good stuff it’s always at the cost of others.

What's your most hated trope in fanfictions?

I for example instantly quit a fanfic if Masaki gets somehow revived.

It never works out for the story and always feels weird...
