started CG yesterday and man these two are just fucking annoying currently on episode 18 and i just wish these two get wiped out somehow
I've just finished the show and this is my first time consuming something with such high political element in it so hope you guys can excuse me if I ask something obvious , anyway :
+ with EU already dead and China experienced a coup and currently weaken , Britannia is the closest country coming to world domination so why aren't those white countries decided to join UFN in order to stop them ?
+ I assume Lelouch come up with the rule "higher population = higher leader power" for his future plan but why does this get accepted by everyone ? Or do they think there's 0% chance Britannia might join them so the balance is safe
+ After the zero requiem , does the world territory stay the same except all the red area turn blue ? does the remaining citizen of Britannia empire all join the UFN or Nunnally take over Lelouch's place ; don't they get blamed/revenge by the people in the colonized area for years of being dominated
+ why must people give up millitary right to join UFN ( I know this is particularly dumb to ask so ... sorry in advance )
thank you so much
I read a few Code Geass fanfics with said KMF in it and their authors actually kept calling it that. Maybe that's just me, but that name sounds a bit pejorative when use so often. I just don't get it why they don't just refer to it simply as "Gekka" or "Blue Gekka" (referencing the KMF color), or even "Rai's Gekka" (for fics where it's actually Rai's that's piloting it). Heck, isn't the Guren Mk-II simply refered as "Guren" in canon ?
I understand this machine is the last prototype before the actual mass production of the Gekka's, so simply refering to it as "Gekka" makes it less unique. Though, it's the same deal with Rolo's Vincent KMF, it's a prototype for the later mass production versions of the Vincent, but isn't referred as a "Pre-production model".
I’m gonna be getting a new cat in late december and I want some suggestions for character names i can name her after.
Don’t recommend Euphemia tho, i already have a cat named Euphy
I love Kallen Kozuki, and I am her most loyal soldier. Til my last breath, I will fight for Kallen. Being a professional Kallen lover, I enjoy looking at art of her. However, I am greatly disappointed in a lot of the drawings of her I found online. I have looked up her name on Google in hopes to find good, respectful art of her, that celebrate her beauty and elegance. But instead, I saw things no man should. Lots, and lots of lewd and lascivious content of her. Now, it is true that humans are sexual creatures and that Kallen has a very attractive body and is the most beautiful human being in history as proven by science. I understand that it is very natural to be attracted to Kallen, however those images were not just sexual in nature, but they depicted Kallen in non-consensual situations. I have seen terrible horrors. Images, and even animations of Kallen, being brutally assaulfed by disgusting old men, in ways which I can't even talk about. She looked terrified, scared, traumatized, and seeing those images made me extremely angry. If you are someome who finds gratification from those images, don't you dare call yourself a Kallen fan. Don't you even dare speak her name. A true Kallen fan, would not take pleasure in her suffering and pain. Those of you who consume such content, you are wicked people. You are monsters and you should be ashamed of yourselves. You are NOT Kallen fans (Yes I'm gatekeeping, whatcha gonna do about it)
Do they just quit their jobs and go home now that they have no one to fight for ( can cornelia come back as their ruler again ? ) or they still exist and wait for some new leader ?
Because we don’t ever see her that cute anymore and because pink is very much her color
Would Lelouch have gotten the same results if he didn’t get his identity of Zero revealed by Schneizel and did Zero requiem? I was thinking about that today after finishing my 3rd rewatch and wondering how would it have gone if he stayed with the black knights. Or even if he was revealed he still had a chance to stay since the black knights and Kallen had begged him to explain his situation (the one good change from the movies) but he chose to play the villain part instead)
Or is it to complete the sword of akasha plan while also appearing as this totalitarianism ruler of britannia?
What the fuck.
So, I just finished season 1 of Code Geass (and also watched some season 2 episodes because of the cliff-hanger) and well... so far I can definitely say that this is... definitely a show.
To make things clear from the start; I like this series so far.
At first I was a bit sceptical; the world felt a bit... artificial, the people working for the empire were so racist and pure evil that it felt like a cartoon (wait a second...) and the high school setting wasn't particularly intriguing. However, after episode 2 I got hooked and I loved learning new information about the history and politics of Britannia. The characters are also pretty interesting.
^([Here I was originally going to talk about Lelouch and Suzaku but I don't feel sure saying anything until I finish the show.])
I initially considered the fight scenes to be a bit overwhelming, mainly because I wanted to miss as little as possible. This doesn't seem like a show you want to turn your brain off for while watching, something that I unfortunately did at around the start, causing me to lose some important details.
I also had an issue with CC; I love her character but whenever things were going bad I always had a voice in the back of my head saying that she may just randomly show up and fix everything.
I want to talk about a specific episode for a little bit and I am certain you know which one it is.
Episode 22
What the fuck. Genuinely what the fuck. She just started fucking blasting I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT. I THOUGHT LELOUCHE WAS GOING TO GEASS HER INTO KILLING HERSELF WHAT ON THE FUCKING PLANET MARS IS THIS.
The tension in the scene where Lelouche and Euphe are talking is strong, almost palpable. You know something is going to happen and we all know you read the title of the episode. It was frankly more intense for me than the ending (I am going to talk about that later), the suspense was crazy as I thought about what Lelouch may try to do.
Is he going to kill her? He is going to geass her, isn't he. Will it be on accident? On purpose? If it is on accident, will he have accidentally used the power or will he have messed up his orders and get her killed? What if he doesn't use geass at all and coerces her through other means?
What actually happened was... something? The payoff was good don't get me wrong, but it felt a bit too ridiculous. I am sorry, but the image of a princess kindly asking people in a crowd to die because of their race and then pulling out a fucking pistol is just... too absurd not to laugh at.
Some people think the show crossed a line here or that it was "using genocide for pure shock value" and I disagree with that. We have seen Brittania do genocide before for no reason. This isn't anything new. The slaughter of dozens of Elevens is business as usual in this show. Euphemia fighting against geass and losing her own self is the real tragedy here, or well, tragicomedy. It feels stupid, it feels pointless and I am not entirely sure how much of these emotions were actually intended for me to feel. I have no idea whether this is brilliant fucking writing or the dumbest shit I have ever seen.
Regardless, it is by far the biggest fuck-up I have seen a main character to do in a show... like ever.
I loved seeing Lelouch completely lose it. I don't know, seeing this guy panic and make mistakes after a major blunder is just oddly entertaining.
^(Also a minor thing about episode 23:) ^(You are telling me that Moe, a random fucking Joe who is a criminal who was turned into swiss cheese and undoubtedly had his vital organs severely damaged got top-of-the-notch treatment from Brittanian doctors who had access to the best Brittanian equipment, allowing him to have a miraculous recovery, yet the FUCKING KINGDOM'S PRINCESS DIES AFTER BEING SHOT ONCE?! WTF?)
The finale was solid, I wasn't expecting the final scene to be a big mecha fight and it wasn't. Seeing Suzaku at his weakest is a bit heartBREAKING (sorry). Kallen and Suzaku learning Zero's identity is great. However, Nunally being kidnapped AGAIN is a little frustrating.
Conclusion: This is essentially my first time watching an anime (with the exception of the first 3 episodes of My Hero Academia) and I am excited to watch the rest of the show. Also since I was watching the dub I thought that Nunally is actually 'Natalie' and only learnt how it is properly spelled after seeing the title of the episode where she gets kidnapped haha.
I probably made some mistakes or oversights while writing this so please correct me if I did.
I could not get the bangs right, as hard as I tried 🥲
I know the whole show had a faster pace than the original series right off the bat. But it still felt like they made the first 75% of the show with a 2 season story pace just to be forced to cram an ending into 3 episodes and somehow finish everyone’s story arcs. And then throw in the original cast and the Akito trilogy cast in just to never see them do much cause why not.
Random other thing. Did anyone find part of the cry animation (or lack thereof animation) after Ash’s death kinda weird. No movement just sobs and the mouth kinda awkwardly stretching open and closed like some dude edited it on photoshop. Was just a weird cherry on top of Ash’s abrupt and disappointing death that I noticed.
