F.A.Q's
Why stick and poke?
For some it's all about the DIY mindset. For some people the person giving the tattoo is just as important as what the tattoo is and they would rather have a close friend do it or do it themselves instead of a professional.

I'm getting closer to understanding some of how this works. My lines need work for sure. Got any feedback for me to improve, please? Needles - 100 9rl and 120 rs
this isn’t finished but wondering if im doing this correctly… specifically the linework
Its a lil bloody lol but am still proud of how it shaped up. Might do another pass tho once it heals, maybe with a less tight needle?
So basically my friend REALLY wants me to give them a stick n poke and I said yes (dumb, I know) but I would love some tips if anyone has them 4 a first timer! And what do I do for sanitation? Because there's no fuckin way I'm leaving my best friend with a nasty infection. Also, none of the yt vids explained how deep to put the needle in. Thx so much guys !!
It’s a bit wonky because I lost the stencil in some places (whoops) but overall I think it turned out okay! I had a really hard time blacking out the black areas so I’ll have to see how it heals and possibly touch it up later. Any tips for working with bigger black areas?
Thanks for looking!
🍊 poked in brooklyn hehe
her name is mothtilda!
This was my first stick n poke I did back in 2017, I’m surprised it hasn’t faded yet. I used black henna ink and a sewing needle.
5rl onlyyyy 2ish hours
it’s a bit messy but I’m really happy with it the positioning is a bit awkward while it heals tho
i've been doing stick and pokes for 3 years, but all my designs have been small and simple enough to finish the first pass without needing to wipe the excess ink off, but i want to do a more complicated design now
Did the goat ~2 yrs ago, freehand, I think I used a 1rl. Love the lil guy but thought the placement was kinda weird so needed a change of scenery.
Busted these orchids out in ~3hrs with a 9trl and 5trl.
It’s an “e” for anyone who is wondering. I free handed it and pretty much went in blind. Next time I’ll use a stencil since the lines are wobbly.
Hello all! Gonna be starting my tattooing journey in Berlin from next week. Wish me luck! Ig: @srotoswini_pokes
Theyll heal softer and slightly cooler
Just finished this tattoo for my friend, the bottom two butterflies are about 2.5 months healed and the top one is freshly poked!
