POWERVIOLENCE
Fucking metalheads and hardcore assholes stand united.
If it falls somewhere between hardcore and grindcore this is probably the best place for it.

If you're unsure wether something self promoting would fit here, throw it in a text post and explain yourself.
If you come in here with homophobic or racist or fascist or ableist or sexist attitudes, you've clearly missed the point of this music, and I'm not gonna waste time my time on negotiating, I'll be swift in banning your ass.

It’s going to be two bassists and two drummers (them alternating between songs is the plan right now, maybe occasionally trying to lock in with each other), and we’re only down a bassist. I play bass. we haven’t all met yet, therefore we’ve yet to have our first practice but I’d rather have the band formed before our first practice anyway. I have to wait till my shed’s able to be cleaned out before we can practice but we all might possibly be able to meet this weekend or something, (not completely sure yet). I’m 15, and I live in southwestern indiana. anybody around there want to be a bass player for my band? I’m inspired by bands like Family Vacation, World Peace, and Weekend Nachos.
Just started a band (two bassists, one drummer) with some people that are way better then me, but they aren't as aware of pv.
What are some guitarless bands besides World Peace, Water Torture, Pavel Chekov, and Hong Kong Fuck You that I could point them towards to give them more of an idea of what I'm going for?
I like what we've been doing so far, but I'm a little fearful of being lumped into the metal crowd.
EDIT: Pavel Chekov does have a guitarist oops
I leave this in case anyone wants to listen, open to doing splits or participating in compilations :-)

I am going to officially be in a band soon and I know these songs are usually short, so how long are all of your band practices? just curious. or like how do they go? what are all the things you do? I’m planning on doing my own thing but I just want to hear from other PV musicians. It’s not important but yeah. I guess I could be asking how to in general set up for a band practice.
I have two people wanting to play drums in a band with me and I think I’ve turned them onto powerviolence. one’s really open to trying it and I think the other one’s open to it too. But I told both of them about the other drummer, and one said that two drummers could work and the other was a little hesitant but she ultimately was open to it. I don’t know why, but I’m a little nervous about it. After they listen to the music I recommended them, they might not want to continue this, and also, the two drummers thing might not work for pv but Idk. I play bass and need another bassist as well and one of the drummers (maybe the other one but idk) plays bass but only a little bit and would rather play drums. I feel like this is all over the place, I am unsure what to do. could someone give some advice?
Are they commies? are they in favor of ccp? are they against ccp? they just dont care about that stuff? idk
Need more shit to listen to at work. I like apt 213, lack of interest, cave state, weekend nachos, despise you, siege, and sex prisoner. Not powerviolence but I also like flesh parade, dahmer, eyehategod, and soilent green
Anything good that is straight noise over drums (preferably no bass or guitar -like noisiest suppression)
Hello! I'm organizing a charity comp for No More Dysmorphia, and I'm looking for bands! If your band is interested fill out this form.
What are some of your absolute favorite records from the 2000s? Currently listening to Mind Eraser and got curious
Is it on purpose, do they just use shitty equipment, what is it? how is it done?
Using my 200 watt Line 6 Catalyst PA
Vocalists please lmk what I need in terms of gear it would be much appreciated
I am a recent fan so I haven’t been looking at the band over time, but I was wondering why they took those releases off of streaming. “FEAR THROUGH AND THROUGH” and “FROM ONE SILENCE TO ANOTHER”. Luckily we have youtube and I was able to snag a couple of tapes but y’know, just curious.
remember seeing a video forever ago it was in some like backyard shit was tight
Probably not PV in some of your guys eyes but I’m looking for bands like Haymaker, XfilesX, Brother, and Dropdead.
i love the classic hardcore punk style shining out in their music
Ex no Statik/ scrotum grinder/artimus pyke/inhumanity/what happens next
Really love their aggression and vocals
