/r/laurentia
Laurentia! So named because of its surrounding the St. Lawrence River, Laurentia is a bioregion encompassing New England, Southern Quebec and Ontario, and primarily the Great Lakes region. The common histories, cultures, environmental, economic, and political links bring these peoples into this common nation.
If you have news, information, discussion topics, or even just imagery of Laurentia, anything to share, feel free to share it here.

Hey everyone--- glad to have found this subreddit. I've been interested in bioregionalism for a handful of years now-- mostly for one cultural and ecological perspective. It's cool to see there are some other folks in the area who are interested in the concept of Laurentia. I'm from New York and wanted to get a sense of this community and was going to start writing about Laurentia from a cultural standpoint. Looking forward to getting to know some of you!
Hey everyone, if there is anyone.
I’m Romposte, a laurentian independence activist and hope to expand this movement throughout the web.
If you have any questions feel free to comment or PM me.
I'm from Cascadia, but I was wondering what the national anthem of Laurentia would be? Are there any good folk songs about the Great Lakes?
Since I am new at this, I have looked around for some guides. Here are the ones I found:

Do we have a facebook page or a twitter page?
Anyone know if there's anything happening there wrt: bioregionalism?
We are headed towards an ecological catastrophe of incredibly stark proportions. With climate change on the horizon and the ever-present risk of war, the continued existence of the human species over the next century has been called into question.
It is time for a system change.
I look at /r/Cascadia, and I see potential for a revolutionary bioregional movement that seeks to reconstruct society along ecological lines. We should start something like this here in Laurentia. I would suggest Communalism as developed by Murray Bookchin. It is ecological and democratic.

Just pipe in with your favorite design. Personally I vote for this design.
I will make a few designs, might not be amazing. What kind of colors do you think represent the region? What symbols? For symbols I think the three maple leaves of the Pearson Pennant are good.
I'm from north Jersey, in fact I'm even in the NYC metro area, so I guess even if they aren't I'm still Laurentian, but /r/NewJersey isn't in the sidebar and there is no New Jersey flair.
