I am wondering what areas/communities are struggling with poverty, particularly those likely to have tethered outdoor dogs. I make and donate outdoor dog shelters w/o judgement.
I am in the New Minas area and looking at anything between Grand Pre and Annapolis Royal.
Thank you in advance, and if anyone knows a dog that could really use it (tips remain confidential of course), please DM me!
I've got a 2009 Elantra and anyone who knows anything about those cars is they've got a pretty bad EPS system so to bad couplers that get broken down inside the motor. Mine went bad, triggered the red EPS light, I replaced it. Lights still on since you need a specialty sensor to clear it but the car is safe to drive.
Do Mvi inspection places fail cars based on any red lights or is this something I could get a pass in spite of?
Be honest. Y'all only voted for Tim Houston because Tim Houston sounds similat to Tim Hortons.
My husband is an artichtectual designer (he holds an accredited Bachelor of Architecture but is not yet a licensed architect) and I'm pursuing an associate degree in liberal arts, but most of my career experience is in hospitality and retail. I also did some administrative work for a bit in human services for a company that deals with home health care.
I was planning to transfer to a 4 year university here in the Boston area to finish a Bachelor's degree in communications but after the results of our latest election, I feel very scared and unsafe. I know Canadians have to put up with the "I'm moving to Canada" nonsense seemingly after every election we have, but I'm worried our marriage will be invalidated and they'll try and deport my husband, who immigrated here from a country that's not gay friendly.
I think the Martime provinces have a lot of historical and cultural connections to New England that would make us feel at home. Please let me know if you agree or disagree and if you think there's work we can do in your lovely province.
I had someone on my bumper twice in like 3 weeks making it hard to back into my driveway. People seem to think I'm not allowed to do it. Just 20 minutes ago someone pulled up beside me after preventing me from backing in (I even pulled forward a second time to create the space the denied me and they closed the gap).
They started by telling me I can't stop in the middle of the road, I interrupted them and asked "like you are right now?" (I was in my lane attempting to back across the other, but at this time, still fully in my lane).
They had a small child in the front passenger side too.
They started to pull off as soon as they realized I wasn't there for a lecture. I told them to suck my dick.
The only restrictions I can find in the highway act about backing up are that you must be able to do it safely. And the only danger here seems to be the enemies I'm making trying to back into my driveway, so that I don't have to back out into a bind curve.
3 weeks ago was more or less the same but they drove off when I put it in park and got out to try to politely ask them to give me space or go around. No words were exchanged that time.
Each major city has to desl and design major ways to alleviate traffic congestion, ways that eork with their topograph6 and infrastructure. Montreal has a metro, mostly undergrounf, Torornto has a sunway, inter rail system and major highways. Vancouver has a monorail 5hat runs raised high off the ground. Thniking in the long-term, I for one, would like to see a monorail as a major way to get around Halifax built on tock is not conducive to mass land mass transit. It would have to build abov3 ground l8ke Vancouver did.. Furthermore, I would like to see large parking lots available on the outskirts of Halifax where drivers park their cars, and then get on the monorail to visit the businesses inside the city core. I am against building another bridge from Halifax to Dartmouth because studies show that that just enables more traffic congestion. Think,, " If you build it, they will come" scenario.
Landlord states we’ll need to be out for 24 hours during insulation installation. We’ll have well advanced notice, but are wondering what their responsibility is for getting us alternative accommodations.
Looking at our tenants insurance briefly, looks like it covers emergencies, not planned things like this!
Jargon speak of tenancy act is pretty confusing
Will be in Berwick today but unfortunately Noggins closed their u-pick last weekend. Anywhere else in the area still open? Thanks!
I recently got my license for practicing as an RN in Nova Scotia, under the expedited licensure pathway for international nurses from a select few countries. I am very eager to find a job and immigrate to Nova Scotia. However, I have not heard back from any of the major employers like NSHealth and I am wondering if I am missing out on something or is it just really hard finding an RN job in Nova Scotia for foreign nurses. I am open for any suggestions or recommendations you all might have and I am also trying to find any staffing agencies for RN's but couldn't find any useful ones online either. Thanks for any help!
TLDR: Licensed Foreign Nurse trying to work in Nova Scotia as an RN but not hearing back from any employers
I’m driving from Winnipeg, MB to Windsor, NS in a matter of days. To be precise, I’m leaving her on November 16. I’ll spend a week with my family in Windsor, NS and move into my new place in Lower Sackville on December 1.
I really don’t know what to expect, so please share any tips and insights.
One of my most pressing questions is about Internet. I work remotely and absolutely must have the most reliable internet service. I can’t work without out.
Please let me know anything that might be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, if I move to Canada from the USA and have no credit score in Canada (but a very high score in the USA), are there any mortgage officers that work with this? I plan to borrow maybe 1/3 of the house price I'd be buying.
This might be a stupid question, but I couldn't find it on the NS gov website.
My license has an R on it.
On the back of my license it says "Not a supervising driver up to & incl 2024 06 24"
If I'm teaching someone with a learners permit how to drive, do I need to go to accessNS to get the R taken off first, or should I be ok since the date has passed? My license is not expired. Thanks!
Edit: thank you all, I'll call accessNS in the morning to check if its updated in their system.
I'm looking for a place I could park my car for 2 nights near Truro. Google doesn't seem to know of any good options and keeps recommending lots near businesses that I'd probably get towed for parking at. I'm looking for a carpool lot or something similar.

My wife and I desperately want to move to NS, we worked there for a year before, RN and Social Worker. But it's SOOOOO HARD! 😞 The housing situation with our 4 dogs is impossible. They're making it hard to buy property too. Either they want skilled workers or they don't!
