Does anyone know what Mongolian female throat singing song/music they sample in their action scenes? I always hear it in the back.
How many are there??? I’m on S4E17 and I think there have been at least 3 separate times where Chuck downloaded the Intersect. And then there are times when other agents downloaded it. How many are there and what are the differences? So confused now.
It just turned midnight here on the East Coast of the U.S. I was waiting to go onto S4E2 and it disappeared. Doesn’t even show up in the search function.
My favorite thing about Charah's wedding vows is what is not said. Their mutual love has changed them so much that Sarah, the woman of action who was never good at talking about feelings, says the perfect wedding vows, while Chuck, the articulate schnook, can't find the right words and expresses his love through action. And that's perfect.
One of the best things about Chuck is the music, and Tim Jones, the composer behind most of it, is the best of the best. His iconic love theme, "A Question and a Spy," punctuates some of the most memorable and moving moments in the show. His final cue in the finale, discussed here, is truly a love song for the ages.
I think I've found them all. Enjoy!
Some honorable mentions from Tim's Soundcloud page:
Would Sarah and Chuck's kids have the Intersect? I think that makes sense because the Intersect is a part of Chuck now, right? I've only seen up to half of Season 4 so I'm not really sure but I think it's a real possiblility. Anyone else agree?
Pic for attention.
I am trying to track down the full Volkoff piano bits that Tim Jones worked on. I have found the Shaw music, and a bunch of other cool tracks on YouTube, Tim Jones website and also his sound cloud, etc. However, I cannot find the track used when Volkoff or his daughter are on screen.
The way Jones does the sound tracks, usually he writes a longer 3-10min piece and the team will chop it up and use it in various places where it fits the mood. You’d be surprised listening to Shaw’s full theme- it gets used in various ways.
Based off the end of S4E16 Chuck Vs the Masquerade , I think it makes sense there is a full version of this song (at least 3 minutes?). There is a quiet part where the melody is softy played on a few piano keys, before it comes in full bravado.
tl;dr really like Volkoff, want to find the song please if anyone knows
I find it awesome (pun intended) that it’s been over a decade since this show has been out and I still see new and original posts posted on this page. Might not be the biggest fanbase or biggest show ever but the people who love chuck really are the best fans in my opinion.
Every single plot point just felt so contrived, it's obvious they were running out of ideas. They completely abandon the notion that not just anybody can download the Intersect and give it to Morgan, but it's actually a bad Intersect and he becomes evil Morgan. But it's okay because the power of friendship saves him and then the CIA gave them what they needed to remove the Intersect from Morgan even though they got fired from the CIA. Then the big conspiracy set up at the end of S4 that we assume is gonna be the overarching plot for the season ends halfway thru it with the reveal that it was actually Shaw pulling the strings because sure why not? Then the whole thing with the child was stupid, not only was there no reason to introduce Sarah's mother for one episode at the end of the show only to discard her but it's also just not nearly as bad as Shaw made it sound. And then they introduce Quinn and give us no time to get attached to him so he makes for the most anticlimactic final villain, and Quinn has his own Intersect glasses but those also have the bad Intersect even though that was presumably created by Shaw and his people to destroy Chuck's brain so I'm not sure why Quinn would have it. And then Sarah gets the bad Intersect and becomes evil Sarah and they never restore her brain, leaving us with a very open-ended conclusion. Don't get me wrong, I'm usually all for open-ended subversive conclusions, but for a show that leans into its cheesiness and relies on the strength of the cast and characters, we deserved to see these characters get a happy ending, and they couldn't even leave us with that. Overall it just felt like a slap in the face after being with these characters through all the ups and downs across the first four seasons.
Anyone ever notice the extra in the green shirt giving it her all dancing in the courtyard party scenes of S03E02? She is just hilarious, even in her very minor spot on the show. She's uncredited, I wonder if she ever ended up in anything else.
The entire cast was pretty much fantastic, even the secondary characters. I get a kick out of Lucid Jeff eventually piecing together the real goings-on at Buy More, with pinpoint accuracy. Lester also is a trip. I get the feeling Brandon Routh was thoroughly enjoying playing a cartoonishly nasty villain with all the bells and whistles, sort of cleared his palate from having to deal with a mediocre-at-best Superman Returns script.
But some of the guest actors were remarkably good.
Carrie-Anne Moss generated so much chemistry with Adam Baldwin I half expected the two were happily married IRL. And who'd have thought Dr. Pfeffer and Bizarro Jerry from Seinfeld (Clyde Decker and Kieran Ryker villains) would be so convincingly loathsome? You couldn't wait for them to die, like Commodus in Gladiator.
There's a bunch more I could refer to but that'll do.
I decided to start streaming Hart of Dixie since Josh Schwartz is the Executive Producer and Rachel Bilson (or Lou) is the star. Just got to S1E11 and surprise I hear the word LargeMart. I wonder if it is a coincidence both shows have LargeMart as part of the show?
Title says it all.
Personally I don't. Just interested in other peoples opinion
Just got done a rewatch after a couple years. I completely forgot that Jeff and Lester were whisked away to Germany to become stars where both women and men will love them. I think we need a VH1 Behind the Music update!
That feeling when you're browsing ladies-who-lunch clothes at Talbot's and recognize Carina (Mini Andén) as one of their main models! Poor Carina, living her worst nightmare as a suburban wife in preppy clothes lol.
I'd seen her as a model many times but never connected it with Chuck until now. TIL.
Zachary was nominated today for a worst actor Razzie with his role in Harold and the Purple Crayon. I know that film was mentioned as one of worst films of 2024 so I think the director and writers are just as much at fault for the nomination. I don’t know but maybe Zach needs a Chuck movie to rebuild his career.
Watched The Tomorrow War again today and really enjoyed the strong Sarah Walker vibes that Yvonne brings to this movie. No spoilers if you haven't seen it, but there are some familiar Chuck elements - lots of action and gun play, an emotional scene at the beach, and she's still protecting the science guy in the year 2051...
