There's no reason for us to actively engage in the kind of evil accidentally wielded by Veridian Dynamics here. There just needs to be better communication and time to make adjustments.

Ted is a boss at Veridian Dynamics, a company that creates everything from cowless beef to aerodynamically perfect structural bagels (totally not evil). He must balance the demands of his boss, Veronica, with the abilities and needs of the Research Department (Lam and Phil) while balancing his love interest in Testing (Linda).

Ted is on Prime (US)

I’ve been wanting to rewatch for a while, but I couldn’t find it anywhere to stream. Now it’s on Prime Video in the US. Love this show so much! I ended up watching most of season 1 in a single sitting because I can’t stop. Just wanted to share this news in case someone needed a good place to watch Better Off Ted.

Did the show changed around the end of season 1? I don't like it

I watched Better Off Ted s1 last week and it was pretty good until the last episode, I don't know what specifically changed but it just wasn't funny, Veronica's character from that episode was ruined by trying to put some "sitcom" like comedy to her and the show just feels much worse.. it seems like they're trying to turn it into Seinfeld where every sentence is supposed to be funny, I just watched the first 2 episodes of season 2 for now but it feels really different.

I see the time between s1 and s2 was 4 months and it got cancelled after s2 so they might thought to try to make it more mainstream appealing but the humor just doesn't land, I will probably continue 1 or 2 episodes and if it's not better call it quit

Came here from Unstable

Season 1 Episode 1. I felt the BoT vibes and had to google “Better off Ted similar to Unstable.” I needed to find my people!!

I really loved BoT. I was so sad that it was cut short. Unstable is like an extension of the BoT universe and I’m very happy about it.

Never gonna give you up! 🎶🎼🎵

Unstable on Netflix is basically a reboot

By Victor Fresco himself. It lacks the corporate punch but it's very similar. The music notes, lab rats, etc. are all there. Just a bit mellow. The premise is Better off ted meets silicon valley.

Firefly Reference?

When Ted is going through the guard's desk drawers, he sees a pair of blue gloves and pauses

Just before, Linda had referred to the guard as one of the shiniest employees

Maybe a very subtle Firefly reference?

(I'd seen a similar post from years ago but can't find it now)

Is there a place to watch episode 12 and 13 of Season 2?

I heard there were 2 unaired episodes that were released in Australia for the final season. I really want to watch them! Does anyone know where you can find it?

What's the best Phil and Lem episode?

Spouse and I are putting together our winter movie/TV festival. This year's theme is "Terrible Twos" - so mostly we're thinking of pairs of characters - partners, rivals, friends, lovers.

So wondered what the best Phil & Lem episode is. Thoughts?

My job is switching the scheduling / payroll system to a software called Ceridian.

Do I even need to say it? Every time I open it up, I remember this show and smile. No one at my work gets the reference.

Just wanted to share with y'all fellow geeks :)

Attention: Employees must NOW use offensive or insulting language in the workplace.

Taking this sub private has done rather little to change the minds of Reddit's admins, so we're going to change things up for a little while here.

The company has discovered that while John Oliver is not in our employee records, we have a plethora of fun material to keep things interesting. So let's have a little fun, the only way Veridian Dynamics allows!

While porn posts are still disallowed, feel free to use an insult generator. If it's good enough for Lem, it's good enough for us, you completely weak-willed slutbags!
