I just rewatched this episode and this is such a good tip to control one’s temper. The next time I feel angry, I’m going to say “Kwazy Cupcakes” to myself before reacting!
Has the show helped you irl in any other ways?
What does that mean? I can't even
Dear fellow Brooklyn Nine Nine television show enjoyers,
I confess I regularly write texts imitating Captain Raymond Holt. I also enjoy short videos and pictures with text that feature Captain Raymond Holt's moments. I would like to know if others enjoy these online activities (outside groups dedicated to Holt imitations, of course).
Sincerely,

After they switched from Fox to NBC, they were allowed to have bleeped out swear words, wheras before hand they couldn't have anything. I thought this was way better and funnier because it is not realistic the way they talked before. The use of the word "crap" because they couldn't say "shit" was so odd because badass characters like Rosa would say crap, when most adults I have met don't talk like this. The worst one was when the big prison inmate said "that guy beat the crap out of me" like i'm pretty sure this guy would be fine with saying a slightly worse swear word. Like imagine if in Breaking bad they couldn't say shit so they just said crap all the time it would be very odd. IMO they should have just not had a replacement swear word and just said what they wanted to without saying crap or any nicer swear. It's better for me in the later seasons when they start bleeping because first of all, they are all adults, it is more realistic for them to curse once in a while so it doesn't take you out of the show. And secondly, its way funnier, real swear words have more of a comedic punch when used sparingly and sometimes the bleeps make it even funnier than if it were just said uncensored.
I am rewatching the series with my GF and one thing we have both picked on is that whilst most of the characters learn lessons and experience character growth, Gina never seems to. In almost every conflict she is shown to be in the right, ending in other characters apologising to her, or having nothing to learn. Last night we watched the episode where Sharon gives birth and Gina seemed all set to realise she was wrong about childbirth and gain respect for Sharon but instead ends the episode with no new insight saying she "I never want to see you or your baby again."
Can anyone point to any episodes at all where Gina realises she is in wrong, apologises and definitively learns something and improves as a person?
I was power walking
So I told my dad what happened, and he wrote a tweet about it. This is what Marc Evan replied.
Translation: « Im sorry I didnt meet her. Next time, I hope. » and my dad answered « thank you to have taken the time to read my comment, in french as well, its going to touch her for sure! she has acting and theater classes and im certain that the holt/cozner/cheddar trio in which you were will inspire her in the future. thank you! »
I’m really happy he said that lol!! Especially in French, so nice of him!
Also, my dad’s english isn’t nearly perfect, so when he said I was « mad », he didn’t mean like 😡😡😡😡 more like, ☹️☹️😞😣 !! So don’t attck me plz
In season one there is a flashback to Charles and his sister playing with a dollhouse given to both of them by their grandmother, in season two Charles says that his sister canceled on him as his date to his ex-wife’s engagement party. My question is: what happened to her? She is never seen or talked about again. In fact in the final season he says that his mother is his only remaining blood relative. I get that some things from very early on were changed (Daniels disappearing, out of shape young Hitchcock and Skully, etc) but it seems like an odd thing to have removed considering the Boyle cousins’ relevance in the rest of the show. Any thoughts?
Anyone watch the Simpsons and notice that this guy is voiced by Jason Mantzoukas (Adrian Pimento) and see him drop this restaurant name lol. Hadn't seen this anywhere and thought it was pretty funny.
Scully and Hitchcock are just Peralta and Boyle in their senior years at the precinct 😂😂😂
Nearly similar antics and friendship. Thoughts?
I am thinking about watching another show but can't find a show like Brooklyn 99 can anyone recommend a good show . -Yours sincerely A fan
I have never watched season 8 until this week I didn't like the first episode of season 8 and thought it will ruin my experience but I watched it after a year and I feel sad that it had to end this way . I don't know what to feel anymore.
I thought the "magic jacket" made for a hilarious and refreshing change from the usual Jake/Charles dynamic, and I wish they had kept it going for a full season, or at least brought it back every now and then!
Best line in the episode: "That's how I've always walked, bitch." 😎😂
I had an incident at work where a large spanner slipped off a nut I was tightening and I accidently slightly chipped a tooth. It left a rough uncomfortable edge. That day after getting home I borrowed my wife's nail drill to file the rough edge off, she walked in and was shocked asking what I was doing. I told her I wasn't going to pay some dentist to use the exact same drill to do it.
Hetro Holt has a reserved spot.
I find it weird that they find it out of character for Charles being promiscuous. They obviously care about him, but would think they want him to get laid because of their history with each other. So it really doesn't make sense
Episode 3 Coral Palms when they break out the jail cell in Florida 😂 I don’t know why because those frosted tips are horrendous 🤣 but I find him so endearing. He’s like the epitome of golden retriever type.
