Show Summary:
Shawn Spencer has developed a keen eye for detail after being instructed by his police officer father to note even the most minute details of his surroundings. After conning the police into believing that he's a psychic, Shawn opens a detective agency with best friend Burton Guster.

Was rewatching Punisher season 2 after a long time and I saw the bad guy in here and I cannot believe I did not notice it was Henry. I feel blind af. Granted I most likely watched Punisher S2 way before I got into psych. Weird to see Henry as the douchebag villain 😂
Some people might have seen it by now, I've seen that passed around in Facebook groups..
I was first introduced to this show when I was 11 or 12. I am now 27 and will rewatch this show multiple times a year. I have yet to find a show as comforting and funny as well as easy viewing. The subtle jokes, the outlandish humor to pair, the best bud aspect and overall good vibes. The show never took itself too seriously and the actors all seemed like they had the greatest time making it and always left me feeling good after every episode. When I watch it now I feel incredible nostalgia and happiness along with the sadness of knowing a show like this is unlikely to be made again. Even if a show comparable is made, I’d be hard pressed to believe it could give me the same levels of serotonin. I feel like if the cast was able to find availability in their schedules and a willingness to run it back that the viewership would definitely be there. Can you imagine Shawn and Gus riffing over some of the pop culture events that have happened since the show ended? The movies are great but doesn’t nearly give me the fix that binging episodes back to back used to. Is anybody with me?
Sorry if this has been said before, but i think it would be so cool if we got extended cut episodes like how The Office is doing super fan episodes. I watch Psych at least once a year, and I was just thinking it would be cool if they did this.
I was listening to Psych while trying to fall asleep last night and I thought how cool would it be if Jeff Richmond creates the music for the next Psych movie?
For those of who don't know, Jeff Richmond is Tina Fey's husband and he did the music for 30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Girls5eva (among others I'm sure). Thoughts?
What is everyone's favorite Chief moment?
What a great show. It was consistently funny and sometimes surprisingly touching. I feel like I watched the whole series too fast I’m surprised how quickly I burned through 8 seasons. I really liked this double hug between Shawn and Lassie. I loved the way they wrapped up m the stories for the characters. I did miss having Jules actively in the show for the last season, and most of the episodes in the last season seemed to be stunts or fan Easter eggs but I liked that they knew they were ending and had the time to do all those things they wanted to send it off nicely. It was a perfect low stakes show for me to enjoy when I needed the mental escape. Now I guess I have the movies to watch!
I'm seeing this now for psych on Prime. Are they looking to start charging us to watch it now? Or is this another one of there "threats"?
I'm also wondering...does Peacock make you watch commercials during psych?
I'm posting because of a conversation with someone (we're in the USA) whose first patient of the day has Temporary Protected Status. And it occurs to me, are there any memoirs or anything written about how to practice when you're in a country on the precipice of falling to fascism or genocide or the like?
Can my fellow Psych-o’s who have a good cinnamon pie recipe please share?
So i saw a very interesting video called Shawn & Alice Connection on youtube and it shows a very creative breakdown of Shawn's reaction to Gus, Henry or any character in danger after Alice asked what would Shawn do if Gus got hurt. Alice Bundy is a broken girl who snapped when adversity hit her after losing her best friend and Shawn in Season 1 never experienced adversity yet and didn't understand how Alice felt or her mental state until later especially with Shawn seeking revenge like Alice when he wanted Jerry Carp in prison or dead after his dad got shot and almost killed. Shawn saying he visited Alice in prison is interesting. Bonus: Shawn asked Alice for advice on electric wiring and she honestly told him with no intention in hurting Shawn
Does anyone who either streamed the show after it aired or binge watched it ever feel like they missed out?
Sometimes when I watch I realize the cliffhangers at end of seasons or such that should carry more wait because of the time between episodes releasing so I almost feel like I’m missing an aspect of the show because I streamed it years after release
Tough dude. Had game. Loved Shawn. Played straight to Shawns jokes often. The pickup. The Hawaiian shirts. Even his relationship advice, while scarce, was right on. If I met CB I’d be speechless. LA Law? Major League? Psych? I know I’d just mumble.
