I was having a think about the filler chapter (37) where Nina is first introduced and when I checked my volume I noticed something; I think Nina knows about the brand on Ciel's back. If you look at the pages where Ciel has his shirt ripped off him and Sebastian is trying to cover the brand, once Lizzie has been scared off Sebastian makes no effort to conceal it again until Soma barges in. Based on how close in proxemity Nina is to Ciel surely she'll have seen, and since Ciel doesn't seem bothered- despite the fact how he reacts when Doll sees it and how he mentions in Public School that he has to 'bath quickly here to hide the brand on my back' (sic)- he doesn't make any attempt to conceal it whilst Nina's measuring.

He also specifically says that it would be bad if Lizzie sees the brand and doesn't mention the fact Nina could possibly see it too. It makes me think that Nina has seen the brand when she first measured him up after his 'return' and has been paid off/ sworn to secrecy. Her family have tailored multiple generations of 'Guard Dog' and she's no stranger to unusual happenings within the household (She does make Mey Rin's skirt belt thingie and bulletproof corsets without prompting so there must be some experience there, plus she presumably didn't bat an eyelid at being asked to make a 'muslin drenched French dress' for Ciel and providing a bunch of others) so it wouldn't be hard to pay her off or make her sign an NDA.

If you look at the top left and top centre panels Ciel nor Sebastian seem bothered Nina could get a glimpse of the brand, and Nina can be seen in the foreground of the bottom right panel, if she turned around she'd see the brand quite plainly.

I watched everything a while back (all the seasons, OVAs, movie, etc.), but I’ve forgotten a lot since then. I remember there being mentions of sexual assault/violence in the series, but I can’t recall exactly when or where these occur. So what exactly dies that sentence mean, or is it just a cool line? Thank you.

When I first read this scene, I got shudders

He knows him by name and gets excited when he sees him in the suitcase and demands Claude to retrieve him. He also tries to take him during the ball and gets really excited when Sebastien is carrying Ciel while running towards him.

As the Queen's Spider its his job to clean up any evidence left behind by Ciel so that explains why he knows about him but why is he fascinated with Ciel and wanting to take him?

i dont mean this in any offense way to the writer, I'm aware that she releases new chapters monthly, i'm just confused. I dont read many manga, but I remember watching the black butler anime as an 11 year old (im 25 now) so for nostalgias sake I thought Id re-watch, and catch up on the new seasons, I finished the anime a couple days ago so spent the past 2 days reading the rest of the manga. only to find out its still not finished, and its been almost 20 years? If the writer has been releasing new pages monthly for that long how has the manga seemingly got so few chapters? 🥲 I feel like I'm missing something

I know that other series are well known for having been spanning much longer, such as one piece, but thats been running only 9 more years than black butler and has 1000+ chapters/episodes, so how comes black butler only has 200ish chapters so far? Or maybe one piece is just abnormal in that respect? but surely its not common for manga to run on for so long?

i have adhd and maybe am just too used to the wests way of pushing out media. i just know that after I just finished marathon reading all the manga, i'll probably just forget about it and never ending the series (until maybe another 10 years time for another dose of nostalgia lol)
