I think the most recent one would be amazing given the big plot twist, but it would be pretty fun to see Ciel sing on stage for a bunch of fangirls in the Blue Cult ark!
like bb joker come back😭😭😭
Just a reminder to all, as I have been seeing an abundance of it recently, karma farming and repeatedly posting very low effort content, is not allowed.
While I know the manga is on a hiatus, that doesn’t mean posting content that doesn’t have any sort of observation or creative element to it, isn’t allowed.
What is categorized into low effort, and is no longer allowed:
Repeatedly posting old art work by Yana with no creative title or observation. If you are not show casing a art book, then we kindly ask you not to keep just posting old artwork with just 0 context, as it is very much available anywhere on the internet with a Google Search. I know there are some new fans, but continuing to just post old artwork hoping for hundreds of upvotes with 0 insight on it, is blatant karma farming.
What is allowed:
Posting old artwork with any sort of observation (EX: I never noticed this about this artwork, or I have a theory based on this artwork, etc, just some creative element)
Showing off an official art book by Yana (she has 4) is also allowed.
What is also categorize as low effort and is no longer allowed:
Posting manga panels with 0 insight or “lazy”observational element, repeatedly or, an observation that has been pointed out, many times before. I have been seeing an influx of posts of manga panels with lazy observations (EX: I like their outfit, or hair, or shoes etc.) this is incredibly unoriginal and no longer allowed, and doing it repeatedly, again, is blatant karma farming.
What is allowed when it comes to manga panels: theory’s, any and all types, character analysis, character relationships with other characters (doesn’t have to be necessarily romantic, but the kinds of relationships characters just have with each other in the manga thus far), and coloring manga panels is allowed, BUT COLORING OVER OFFICIAL ART IS NOT.
If you are seen repeatedly violating these rules, then you are subjected to a temporary or permanent ban
These new rules go into effect immediately after this post is posted and if you think you have broken them, or would like clarification, please reach to me.
We are just trying to make sure this subreddit doesn’t become a karma farming hub filled with just unoriginal content, I especially want people to be engaged with anything in the manga or anime, so just please add some effort into posts. Thank you.
I’ve Always found myself imaging R!Ciel with a softer aura too him, while O!Ciel is shrouded in darkness, I wanted to covey that here in this coloring, there may not be many physical differences between the boys, but their vibe is wholly different, hope you like it :)
After watching the latest season, Black Butler: Public School Arc – twice – my love for the Anime has been rekindled. I wonder about >!the fate of the former and now-expelled P4!< after the story. Although I have seen and understood that they would return on a future arc in the manga. Personally, I have never read the manga before and absorbed it. But, if it's any consolation, I've rewatched all the Anime's canon episodes, OVAs, and released film. Then there's the latest season, and I will look forward to the upcoming season next year (or so I heard). Though, I have some questions I would like to ask, if it's all right? Right now, on the top of my head, I wonder >!how Derrick Arden's and his friends' death evaded the Grim Reapers if at all!<? We have also glimpsed the upcoming arc that is the >!Emerald Witch Arc!< at the end of season's epilogue episode, S04E11.
Speaking of watching only the canon episodes, the season for the Book of Circus, it was heart-wrenching to say the least, how the artistes, or circus performers, >!were kidnapping children in cities was all for naught. They could've been good people growing up, had they ended up in the right hands instead.!< I still want to talk about them and their arc more in-depth, but moving on for now. Perhaps it's because this arc was only two OVAs and that the manga may have done a better storytelling, but the Book of Murder was a slight dip below the Book of Circus for me, despite the plot being similar to – I hope I am sourcing this correctly – Agatha Christie's Mystery/Thriller novel, "And Then There Were None." I do wish to read the whole manga series and arcs one day, though. When I have the money to buy them all physically.
The arc for the luxurious liner, it may be silly asking, but is it inspired by James Cameron's Titanic? I hope I didn't sound like that one person who asked if the Public School Arc was based off of the Harry Potter books. I think some English people or Europeans may find it insulting that every non-European person, some would remark old Goth-style schools to be like the mentioned Fantasy wizard franchise. Also, to the moderators of this subreddit, is it okay to try and ask here more questions? Under this thread, or can/should I make a separate thread on each? I would ask more questions, but right now, these are all what I could think of.
Oh! I almost forgot. A bit of background on how I found about the series. It was (circa) a year after the Anime's debut season's release, and I was watching each episodes on Animax with an unofficial dub. I wasn't even aware that it was a fan-dub of sorts – I forget the exact term for this; maybe 'abridged'? Looking back at some clips that surfaced on YouTube, I didn't realise how badly it was dubbed on Animax at the time. And the iconic yet simple line by Sebastian, "I'm merely one hell of a butler" was longer in the fan-dub. Does anyone remember it, or maybe it's my mind and memory playing tricks on me? I hope I get answers from you guys, and that we would make discussions here for a while, which is fun.
He just looks like he would
No cus I’m confused does he just want to fight Ciel for the sake of that cus he doesn’t seem mad.
She is the best side character. My wife is so underrated.
Like Lizzie, Sullivan, Doll, where does Ciel get this rizz
victorians had all sorts of whacky causes of death. what do you think would get him?
Bro saw Alois in the canon and got scared💀
s4 vs p5 is something I NEED animated rn😭
Let me know what ya think
Is there any place offering a really good version of the Phantomhive ring? I know Hot Topic has one, but I'm looking for a more fine jewelry version.
Plz no fighting lol
Personally for me, I grew up with dub and will never switch to sub for BB, even tho for literally every other anime, I prefer sub
I actually ship them haha xD

What does everybody think of the characters depicted on each cover? Do they 'deserve' their place? Should other characters have been included? If so where?
I've attatched a table listing who is on each volume cover to date and which arcs that volume contains (alongside relevant details when the same character appears on multiple covers)t o save everybody a bit of time looking it all up. Spoilers obviously apply so please use your discression
As for my own opinions. I'd have loved to have seen Madam Red on a cover due to her contuinuing relevence to the story, so I'd maybe have put her on Volume 3 as opposed to Sebastian. To me the same character (even the titicular protagonist) being on all 5 covers for the first 3 arcs was a bit lazy so I'd maybe have put Soma in volume 5 and had one of the P4, or Professor Agares on Volume 16 instead. I'd have also omitted Charles Grey completly and put Arthur Conan Doyle there instead, but that's because I can't stand Charles Grey. I'd have loved for Snake to have had an earlier cover but I understand why Toboso waited to do that. I've always wanted to see Grelle on a cover but I'm not sure quite where I'd put her out of the existing ones without a spoliler, unless she went on volume 3 and Madam Red on Volume 2.
What does everybody think?
I've watched season 1 of Black Butler years ago, and know the general premise of the story along with some backstories. I'm just super interested in the public school arc and want to watch it more than anything (and then cosplay it with my existing ciel cosplay). I can only watch a few episodes at a time so if I have to watch any full seasons (ex. the "books of") it'll take a while. I'll go back and watch the rest afterwards, just wondering how important it actually is to know details from the rest of the story.
Insanely stupid/silly question, I know lol
Edit: Thank you everyone, I've decided to watch the whole series in canonical order :)
