This is annoying.
In the pilot, he is a little bit annoying.
They’re so young but they’re still my favorite couple on the show because they’re so adorable together
Nikki, obviously, for being a gold digger. Next, the pediatrician girl with the horrendous vocal fry.
Ignore all of the plot points of this show. One of the craziest parts of this show is all of the different types of doctors Hank is supposed to be.
Hank Lawson specialties
NOT
In the early seasons I found Evan annoying and (usually) found Hank to be the sensible balance. By the end of the series, an evolved Evan had grown on me. I feel Evan had a much more satisfying story arc.
With each re-watch, while I still find early Evan annoying, I realize that Hank is often a self-righteous dick. I'm currently watching the golf tournament episode where Evan thinks he's going to win a yacht and Hank is very pleased that Evan's employment with HankMed disqualifies him.
As annoying as Evan might be, he's never a dick to Hank.
What do you think?
Currently half way through my rewatch (season 4) and every other episode I'm like how did I not know you were in this?! Constantly double checking cast lists on IMDB every time I'm like "is that? no. Wait. It is!"
Just discovered this serie. It really is a fun watch with unfortunately one major problem, Evan. I can't stand this personage. It is just not funny. Why is there always a dumb sidekick. Hopefully it gets better/smarter with time.
I don't know if I missed something but why Evan uses middle name but Hank doesn't? Is that a real thing in real life as well?
I've exhausted my Google skills.
The guy moved from Hamptons to Miami (Burn Notice) to do some stuffs...
I’m really glad they called a show royal pains and not HankMed. Because the show really seems to center more around Evans character development, and his chemistry with all of the characters. Don’t get me wrong, thank is awesome but Evan has a certain charm that really keeps things running
Just on a rewatch with the hubby and we’ve just come to the episode when Divya questions the bartender, scares her off and Jeremiah reacts accordingly. How out of line do you think Divya was in her actions? I think she crossed a definite line, especially by not talking to him first. But I also do understand why she wanted to protect her friend. My hubby thinks she’s totally selfish and has been taking advantage of his generosity and friendship all this time, and is pretty much being a complete hypocrite and very underhanded. Thoughts?
I hoped they'd made cast version of the opening full song though 😅(Independence by Blue Van)...
I know there were several celebrities appearances throughout the season, but he was Clawhauser from Zootopia?😲 (though the movie came out a year later after this)
I enjoyed the show even toward the end when it drifted to not quite as much fun. But I don't yet have a desire to go back and rewatch like I do with most shows I enjoyed. Thoughts is this a show you go back and rewatch?
I was confused in the beginning of Off Season Greetings. The bombing happened in the last scene of previous episode, then Christmas comes and I was like....😵💫 Then they say 4 months passed in the second part...
Is it just me or when Evan and Nell enters Bochinski’s house, the sudden transition of the tint felt strange…
So I've heard about this USA Network and Blue Sky era but it's fun to see this or the characters talking about it even....😂 (Eddie investing in Blue Sky for example)
I think they have a guy in the writer room that would rather be on McGyver, a few writers that would rather be writing an international spy drama, and a few actually writing a medical drama set in the Hamptons. The Boris storylines seem so disconnected from the rest of the show
Jill left for Appalachian Trail and Divya and Raj get quarantined in the last episode of season 2....I was confused to see the third one thinking the seasons would relate each other...
I’m still early in the show, but this is my favorite character aside from the main ones so far.
I somehow had to hate binge this whole show. I came here to rant. I despise Hank, He is smug and thinks he is cool. He is not, Evan is annoying and immature, but I think he is aware of it and tries. The problem with the hank character is the acting, he is not believable. His Character is not believable, and the actor portraying hank does not convey the personality, charm, confidence and ability the character is supposed to have. I do not believe for a second someone like Boris (one of the main reason I kept watching the show) would trust Hank, much less Evan. I cheered every time something bad happened to Hank. There definitely was an element that I liked to the show, but I am glad I don't have to watch anymore. Also I get there has to be drama and they have to have something exciting happen, but every episode has some extremely rare death sentence of a disease, or a small fall resulting in a extreme fracture that completely cuts off blood flow, and absolutely everyone gets a ct scan. Plus how big is that medical bag he caries around? Its like a wizards hat. the writing is so lazy! the best was when some guy had his arm pinned between a small branch and his car and they had to use a bone saw to cut the branch, when a four year old could have flexed the branch. Jeremiah and Vivian were pretty good characters although they each had their moments. Basically fuck hank and the actor that plays him, I could never watch him in anything else.
thank you for anyone that read through this, I could go on for days and wish there was more hate on the internet.
So I usually wait until I finish a series before I join the Reddit group but I started the show back when it was still running on USA weekly and decided I would start it back up in my spare time. The show is so much better than I remember before.
Boris is the best on the show. That is all carry on .
