Mine is “This B needs a C in her A.” I find it remarkably cringy.
Only rules are you must post a comment with a line from the show and everyone has to guess the next line. I’m hoping lesser known lines should be a bit trickier and we can have a lil fun with this.
So, I have watched the 99 up until season 7. Each season, there are always a few episodes that I scream “I hate Jake so much I just wanna punch his face. I hope he loses everything.” A person like him who admittedly has daddy issues should go and seek help before trying to sabotage every situation he is in, considering he is a detective. Most of the time, his incompetence and undermining of colleagues is comedic. But every season he goes too far and I can’t stand him.
Don't give up hope. That's what they want you to do. We can survive this as long as we're willing to fight back.
I know it’s a tv show and there are schedules involved and storylines that make more sense without certain characters, but I always thought it would have been cool if they brought back Sophia Perez to defend Jake and Rosa when they were framed for the bank robberies. How do you all think that would have played out?
I know the Quebeqouis adaption of B99 doesn't fit the standard set by the original, but assuming there is an adaption set in the Midlands, this is how I imagine the titles work in Britain.
Chief Inspector Holt
Inspector Jeffords (formerly Detective Sargent)
Detective Constable Peralta
Police Sargent Santiago (Formerly Detective Constable)
Detective Constable Boyle
Detective Constable Diaz
Detective Constable Hitchcock
Detective Constable Scully
Ignore the fact that i cant take a good picture.
Mumps.
My wife and I disagree about a scene in S5,E11 The favour. The episode with Kyle Murphy.
In the scene where they drive past the rolls royce loads of times to get Kyle to spot it, Jake and Charles resort to Charles idea of saying 2 birds are having sex. Do they mean birds (as in actual birds) or are they using slang to mean two Women are having sex?

(As you can sense, I really miss the show)
For the sake of not being repetitive, I am going to avoid speculation that I have seen in other posts about mental health/mental illness or neurodivergency among the main cast.
I wanted to see what people thought about Canon events regarding mental health.
for example, in season 8 rosa has anxiety and uses weed to cope. I actually wish this was explored more in depth, as anxiety is so common and can be very debilitating.
there is an episode that centers around captain holt relapsing in his gambing addiction. i really liked this episode and thought that it was fairly realistic for the sit-com setting.
there are also several mentions of Terry having body image issues and food addiction or binge eating disorder. I appreciated that 99 used a male character for this issue, as I have not ever seen a TV show that covered mens body image issues.
and I also did like that there are a few episodes where people openly discuss going to therapy and why they do it. I just watched the season 8 episode where holt and Kevin were in couples counseling, and holt realized that he can either "win" therapy or win back Kevin.
I feel like this episode is way over hated, it’s not great but it’s definitely not terrible. It tackles serious issues and it’s a great lesson ( I do not like the Boyle and Terry subplot though)
I think she was related to Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Its like B99 but in Maine. Any other movie that fits this genre?
That's all I have to say. Phone in airplane mode now!
Just finished season five episode twelve “Safe House“. My favourite so far, I think. This is peak comedy.
Just watched The interview (2014). I found Dave Skylar's character a quite similar to Jake Peralta. Even James Franco who played the character looks quite similar to Andy Samberg
Oh yeah, I am deep in a river in Africa
Rewatching the show, noticed that jake and amy were a little bit... I don't know, too early i guess. I get that they're perfect for eachother and all, but come on from episode 13? I would've loved if we actually saw them with more partners, especially jake. At the early episodes they showed him as this guy who goes in alot of dates, and sees many girls, but we didn't actually get to see him with many partners. And the same thing for amy, i don't even remember anyone but teddy, and he sucks they milked him so hard, always somehow being the one in charge of a whatever case, and that really shows that there was not enough partners in the show for these two. I don't know, what do yall think?
