All other devices unaffected. WiFi assist turned off. Device dropped back to 5G according to status bar but in WiFi settings still thinks it’s connected.

Turning WiFi off and back on sorted it.

Used to have this quite regularly when I had weak WiFi signal but not since fixing that by moving my WAP and improving the coverage.

Connected to 5Ghz only SSID / radio.

I’ve seen this issue discussed quite a bit on Reddit, but it mostly seems to relate to earlier versions of both public and beta iOS 18 builds. I’m not sure what to make of it suddenly starting for me on iOS 18.3 RC. From what I’ve read, most people believed it was a software issue, as many who returned their phones experienced the same problem with the replacement.

Should I be concerned? I didn’t have any issues all day until I connected my phone to CarPlay, and the problem kept occurring afterward. I thought it might be related to that, as it doesn’t seem to be happening anymore, at least for now…

Bug appeared on my iPhone 12 mini under 18.3 RC and 14 under iOS 18.2.1

I have noticed for a while that when I trigger Siri either manually or with my voice, while I have my AirPods Pro 2 in, Siri is extremely inaccurate. It will either only catch part of a phrase or completely mishear it. I am talking that it isn’t even close. I’ll ask it about movie times at a theater and it wants to call someone in my contacts.

Siri without my headphones, while still atrociously bad and I think we’re going backwards (I know we aren’t at 2.0 yet), is much more accurate, so I think it is an AirPods issue with 18.3 or the firmware for them themselves.

I know with the last few releases, quite a lot have reported delayed notifications (even after switching off Apple intelligence). Theres no mention in the release notes about any notifications for this beta but just wanted to check if people are still noticing it on this beta?

Anyone notice on the iOS 18.3 betas and RC that the connectivity cellular data icon is grayed out in control center? Tried deleting and re-adding; no fix. Holding down on it does nothing.

Is status bar icon padding fixed after iPhone Mac Mirroring?

Does anyone on iOS 18.3 RC that was just released today, know if the recently used emoji bug was fixed? Basically when you use the search bar to locate an emoji, and press to use it, it does NOT register on the “recently used” emojis tab. It doesn’t work on any third party app, only on Messages. Thanks!

Hi! I have an Apple TV 4K. Earlier somewhere in between these updates, whenever I used to turn on my Apple TV, the live activity would show up on my Lock Screen automatically and also on my Apple Watch. But now, I have to trigger the same manually by swiping down on control center, going to Now Playing, choosing ‘Control Other TVs and Speakers’, then selecting Apple TV. It shows up after that. This is adding 3-4 extra steps. How do I get it back to do so automatically?

I’ve always been able to connect to my AirPods through this menu when they’re paired to other devices. This started happening a few updates ago, I think around iOS 18.3 DB1? Maybe a bit earlier?

Still works on my work phone running stock iOS 18.2 as well as my iPad which is on iPadOS beta as well.

I have no issues connecting to it through the Bluetooth section in settings

is there any workaround for this? force restart doesn’t seem to fix the problem

I was trying to add a new algorithm for a call blocking app that I had installed but it was giving me an error. Tried restarting the phone and reinstalling the app - no go. The option is gone from the Phone app. This has been sent as a feedback as well.

I’ve noticed this since I installed iOS 18 (I think) that double tapping a word now sometimes selects a random number of words or a phrase around the word I want to select. This invariably causes me to delete an entire sentence I didn’t want to and makes me retype it. It’s enormously frustrating. I’ve searched for this topic, but it seems like nobody else is having this problem somehow.

It seems to be an AI feature, because it always selects some logical group of words or a phrase, but why in the world would I ever need to select some specific phrase the phone chooses for me 1/10 times when it decides to randomly do it?

Has anyone else noticed this? Do you know if I can turn it off?

Since the last dev beta update the Wi-Fi connection drops very often to the point that the phone is most of the time not connected to the Wi-Fi network. Anyone else having these issues?

I've tried to use the "All Caps On" command in both regular dictation and Voice Control dictation to get a several-word phrase IN ALL CAPS like the Voice Control Dictation command list says I should be able to, but no matter how quickly or slowly I speak or how I pause between the words & the command, it doesn't work. Either it all-caps only the first word of the phrase, or returns the text "all caps on <phrase>" or "ON <phrase>." It's not a huge deal, because if I say "All caps <word>, all caps <word>, all caps <word>" I get my uppercase phrase, just takes a few extra syllables. But I'm still curious whether others have this problem.

I just woke up to find this on the lock screen with my notifications at the bottom, which displayed normally, but the background is gone and the time is severely bugged out

When I press the microphone key, and speak I get no typed response. This happens with both the iOS keyboard and third party keyboards.

Spotify pauses relentlessly after maybe 30 seconds of play time. This is an issue that’s been more and more frequent these past weeks and now it’s insufferable and ridiculous. Anyone else having these issues? Reinstalled the app, logged out and back in, same behavior on WiFi as well as cellular. Doesn’t matter if I’m connected to any Bluetooth (my car) or just playing through my phone.

I'm on the 18.3 developer beta and my message app crashes the moment I open it, constantly. I looked it up and many people say it happens when a watch face is shared but no one has ever sent me a watch face ever. Oddly enough if someone texts me and I click the banner I can go in the app and talk with that person but if I try to go back to all my contacts it crashes again. Is there anyone else experiencing this that may have a fix? I'm relying on Siri to send texts rn and it's very inconvenient.

when ios 18.2 DB1 released apple clearly stated that developers could test eu apps from anywhere “Following feedback from the European Commission and from developers, in these releases developers can develop and test EU-specific features, such as alternative browser engines, contactless apps, marketplace installations from web browsers, and marketplace apps, from anywhere in the world.”but as of now that still doesnt work and says that you are not eligible. did apple reverse their decision or am i missing smth?

I’ve noticed a lot of sound effect related issues since I upgraded to the most recent patch, iOS 18.3 (22D5034e).

Like, when I’m in messages, my typing sounds are super loud. But here in Reddit they’re normal.

I’ve also noticed sometimes my message notification sounds will play like my phone is set to full volume. Just the messages notifications though.

Wasn’t sure if I was missing some new setting, or this was a bug, or what.
