Amateur's Projected MLS Cup Playoff Odds - Post Round 1
I do my own, VERY amateur, algorithmic power rankings for various sports/leagues (think of it as an extreme poverty stricken man's version of what Nate Silver and 538 used to do).
I posted graphics showing what I estimated the percent chance each team had to advance to the various stages of this year's MLS Cup playoffs before each of the various games of Round One.
Not that anyone will remember this after the two week break the playoffs have to take thanks to the format MLS/Apple decided for use for the playoffs, but here's the latest version after the conclusion of Round One.
The outermost ring shows each team's calculated chance of advancing to the Conference Finals.
The inner-most ring shows each team's chance of winning MLS Cup. Enjoy.
