This is a more modern perspective. I've actually been a fan since 2007 so I thought of some older inclusions but I figured some people might not even recognize the names. Thoughts?
Hey!
I currently own Accidental Heroes by Pete McGinty, but have been wanting to get into Steve Sirk's books. I personally find it easier to make time for audiobooks, since I do a lot of listening in the car, but eBooks are also convenient.
Do Steve's books exist in this format? Also, is the Kirk Urso Forever Massive book still in print anywhere?
Thank you all!
EDIT: It looks like A Massive Season is available on Kindle, but the others might not be. Or are they?
Now that the major international windows are closed, our competitive roster positions are solidified until at least July. Let’s talk predictions for our boys!
I’ll make mine and yall make yours here!
“Jacen Russell Showe” buckle in your seatbelts, eh? JRR is a 15 goal contribution player across all comps in 2025. I think the plan for 2024 was always Christian Ramirez as the super sub, but JRR went to Copa and the 3 headed wrecking crew just dominated for 2 straight months. I think we go back to the original plan of JRR being a starter. He’s still raw, but has shown flashes of brilliance. (Assist to Cucho against Monterrey, header @DC, goal @monterrey)
The Sean Zawadski Experiment. Is Sean the rightful heir to the Aidan Morris throne? Do we need to buy down Nagbe and get a legit CDM? Can the army knife become a sword? The first half of this season is the finale of the trial run for Sean. He either cements himself as the heir or we spend to find it. (I’m in Sean’s corner on this one)
Goodbye Evan Bush. With the league going to two buyouts, I think after the CCC we buyout Bush. Many thought his career had already come to an end, but nobody would want to retire after being injured all of your final season. I predict we send Evan off with a start at home sometime in July.
Cheba gets the nod. We all were witness to Rudy’s fatigue getting the best of him post leagues cup last year. I think the miles are adding up and we don’t see a 2023 Rudy ever again. Insert Cheba. I think he’s ready to see starting minutes at CB with Rudy still more than capable to anchor the rotational squads early on. Let’s not forget that Cheba was Best XI in CCC last year. His potential is as high as we can hope going into 2025.
Supporters Shield. IMO, it’s the top prize this year. Nancy has never won it and he’s been vocal about his desire to chase it. This team will compete for every trophy as it did in 2024, but I don’t think we mail in games like we did during our CCC stretch last year. Tying Portland, DC, and Montreal at home in April are not ideal and I expect much stronger results despite the various competitions.
One thing only partially related to Crew is I’m very interested in watching the development of Marcel Hartel with StL. I rate him as a player than can win an MVP in this league. I personally think his non-signing was a big miss for the Crew. I think he puts up 10 and 15 this year while we see Chambost struggle to produce. I’m on the front lines of Chambost slander until I see an element of his game that justifies the minutes from the run of play. Chambost was the second option behind Hartel and I’m interested to see the comparison of their seasons.
Reminder that this is for fun, none of this matters. Someone calling a player you like "sub par" is not a personal insult. Keep it civil guys, there's enough vitriol on the internet, let's not add more to it here over a meaningless silly thing on a soccer subreddit.
Comment below with your vote. You can just put the person's name, or you can type out your reasoning. I'll count the vote either way.
But please, you need to make it clear who you're voting for (1 player). If you post "It could be X or Y or Z, but I'm going with Y", then I'll count your vote for Y.
But if you just post "it could be X or Y or Z", I just ignore your comment.
I still feel they have not done anything close to adequate in replacing Morris. Nagbe getting old.
Why isn’t Nagbe being bought down to get another DP?
A lot of push to get Ramirez by another team.
Camacho still set to play a lot of CB and I’m not a big fan of Cheberko if they moved to him either.
Didn’t win a playoff game last season and felt a bit figured out but not changing up anything at this point.
This was hands down the best sale I’ve ever been to! Thanks for keeping me outfitted in amazing and fun gear!
Comment with your vote. You can write out an entire reasoning behind your vote, or just list the name. I’ll count it either way. We’ll announce the winner on Sunday, and then open up the next voting for the next cell.
We will do one cell per day. Starting with Great Player Loved By Fans.
We have so many great options. Cucho, Zeleryan, Nagbe, McBride, Stern John, Schelotto, etc.
Post a comment below with who you think should be the choice. Tomorrow I’ll count the comments and we’ll go with the top choice.
Then tomorrow we’ll continue to the next cell (Average Player Loved By Fans), and continue this for 9 days.
With over 75% of the vote, the community has voted YES on banning links from Twitter/X with the following stipulations:

**As of posting, we don't have the automod set up yet, but we're working on it. In the meantime, please help the moderators by reporting posts that break this new rule. Ok I think this is set up. We've never had to do stuff like this before so feel free to test it out.
Go Crew!

Edit: maybe all games are played in the US so we don't get another Poop game incident?
I plan to (attempt) to watch the friendly game against Pittsburgh Riverhounds on saturday at ohiohealth performance center, is there a way I can see into the training ground from the outside?
With a supermajority (two-thirds) vote of “Yes” after 48 hours of this open poll, moderators will immediately implement a new community rule: “No X/Twitter links.” The rule will follow the same implementation as /r/MLS:
This thread is locked, as other discussions on this topic are already available in the subreddit.
At this point half the official team subreddits in the league have banned X/Twitter posts entirely, as well as the main MLS subreddit.
Aren't we tired of Ohio being on the wrong side of history? Prove we're better than r/fccincinnati and ban X/Twitter links.

My husband and I are getting divorced and we have season tickets in nordecke. I'd like us to be able to each take our tickets and each be a season ticket holder, but he is the official ticket holder on the account. He spoke to the rep today who said he'd "look into it" but it seems like this should be a pretty simple process to me? Just split it so there are two season ticket holders with one ticket each rather than one season ticket holder with two tickets.
Has anyone successfully done this? I don't want to lose out on a membership I've paid for for 5 years just because my he is the technical owner of them.
Edit: Thank you everyone for the advice! For anyone who may be going through the same situation in the future, our ticket rep got back to us and said they usually only allow this during the renewal window but they are willing to make an exception due to the situation. Also, the primary account holder will keep the seniority and the "new" account will lose tenure and start fresh in terms of priority.
