Any other out-of-town ‘pids fans sad about the lack of travel-friendly home stands on the current 2025 schedule? Usually in a season we’ll get some 3-games-in-8-days or 2-games-in-4-days home stands. However, this season the closest back-to-back home games are all a week apart and the only one really worth attending both games for at this point is May 17 RSL -> May 24 STL.
Obviously nothing we can do about it, but just something I’ve been thinking about and wondering if anyone else shares the same sentiment. Maybe we’ll get lucky with CCL and Leagues Cup creating an opportunity, but those are more difficult to plan for and execute.
On the bright-side it has enticed me to look into more away days compared to past seasons.
The Pids will compete in CCL and Leagues Cup, however.
hi, I’m a representative of AmerykańskaPiłka, a Polish portal dedicated to USMNT and MLS (our site is https://www.facebook.com/amerykanskapilka). Every year, we publish a MLS guide, and this year it will be printed again. We've added a new theme to this year’s guide because our plan is to interview passionate fans from each team about topics like matchday traditions, away days, tips on how to enjoy a match to the fullest, and include this in the guide. If we gather enough content, it will also be featured on the guide and our website. Here are the questions we’re asking:
Just turned it on at the 60' mark, but it looks like he started tonight vs Costa Rica and is getting good reviews from the talking heads.
Extra Time Radio, the in-house MLS podcast that’s been going for over a decade, is shutting down. They covered the league comprehensively as good as anyone. Sad day.

I am a long time season ticket holder. I am complaining here because I know the team monitors this subreddit and I have no evidence past feedback has ever been shared past my ever revolving ticket rep.
I just read the email communication that a CCL ticket for our opening match against LAFC will not be included in the season member package. Instead, I can purchase a discounted $15 ticket for general admission on the east side of DSGP.
Who do they think is going to show up for a mid-week game in February at 8pm? Trying to squeeze us for a few more dollars when you have already raised the ticket price and lowered the benefits is irritating to say the least.
Hey KSE, did you ever think about having good news for your sales team to share? Let me also say, it's not about the money. Like most of us, I spend far more than that in stadium per match. Support wasn't going to be great in the stadium to begin with due to the scheduling, but this decision seems to tell me they could care less if the team has support during a major international tournament to which we get to participate so infrequently.
A better plan would have been to include the ticket and offer the discount on a second ticket for STM's to try to create a little bit of atmosphere and create some good will with your supporters and best customers to start the year.
I am hopeful the team can dig deep against a tough opponent and come away from the watch with a win. Whether I'll be there to support is still up in the air.
Edit: spelling
Hey all,
Matt Doyle suggested in an article on mlssoccer that the Rapids will go to a 3-4-2-1 this season. If that's the case, who do you think will be the 'back three'?

Hi all,
UVM soccer fan here. Wondering if anyone has any knowledge of Sydney’s plans. Is he going to play for you all or going to go back to college soccer?
Thanks!
Soccer / football fan from the UK and then NY/CT, just moved to CO. Had no desire to support an NY MLS team but am following the Rapids. And as I'm also a Sunderland supporter I obviously wont care if they are shite ...
Planning for the FC Dallas game, we should just pile in the supporters section & join in the fun, right?

Seems relevant after the NWSL news earlier this week.
Now that we're getting deeper into the offseason, just wanted to ask what y'all think are the remaining needs for the team before we head into next season?
I'd put it as:
Overall I don't think we need a world beater star player, it is just acquiring the depth we so desperately needed last season and replacing players who left recently.

Today the Rapids rounded out the MLS draft bringing in a total of 8 new players, 5 of which came in the first round. Padraig & Crookham pulled a few classic ‘Pids moves and made some trades that landed them higher in the 1st, allowing them to snag the diamond of the bunch at #4, Alex Harris. Harris was a beast at Cornell, netting 31 times in 2 seasons, and contributing an average of 1.38 G+A per 90… this kid is the real deal.
Standing at 6’4”, 6th overall pick Matthew Senanou (Centerback) looks the part. He was the anchor of the Xavier back line, leading the team to 7 shutouts throughout the ‘24 season. I watched 30 seconds of highlights and can already tell that this kid has the potential to be a player. Dare I say… on tape, he kinda looks like another CB that we drafted and just recently sold for 7 figures… Besides Harris, Matt has the best shot of making the 1st Team roster considering our current lack of CB depth.
The rest of the group all seem like decent players, but I wasn't going to watch highlights on all of them. More importantly, all of the players except 2 have started over 20 games in college, with all but 3 playing over 2,000 minutes. The group, while young (5 sophomores, 2 juniors, 1 from USLC), bring in a good amount of experience under their belts which should help with the transition.
I expect most of these guys (except Harris & possibly Senanou) to be Rapids 2 players for the coming 2025 MLS Season.
What do you guys think? Any other thoughts/comments you guys have? Does anyone have any insight on any of the picks to share?
