New Bailey chants

New kits. New year. New players. Is it time for a fresh beginning in the Bailey next year? Watching mls tonight and the other supporters' chants sound identical to us. Just a thought.

So sad watching the Orlando Red Bulls game knowing we could eat them both for lunch

Most disappointing part of the season is missing out in this competition. While FCC has some lacking parts of the game, they’re still a holistically good team. I also want to see Lucho go out on a high note (or better yet, not at all)

Is anyone else Excited to see our Set-Pieces with Luca and Denkey?

Our "Sets" haven't been great through the years but know CA isn't finished with the Line-Up yet (I'm exspecting big things) and Luca taking over at Corners and Penalties is Dangerous and we all have seen the Highlights of KDs Headers/Play in the Box.

Denkey did not play in tonight's Cercle game in the UEFA Conference League

Denkey did not play in tonight's Cercle Brugge's game in the UEFA Conference League game.

Cercle won anyway 2-0 against Scottish side Hearts of Midlothian.

This is great news. The less Denkey plays in his remaining days at Cercle, the better

Thankful for a league record signing, renewed for one decade of season tickets. Question, is there any particular reason why the official club social media accounts, this subreddit, and whoever decides what gets a banner at TQL ignores the 2018 USL Regular Season Championship (now Players’ Shield)?

Why can’t this be/stay fixed?

The display system on TQL looks amazing when completely working , but it comes off like a smile with missing teeth. More pixels dropping off in time. Seems like it’s had a case of infant mortality since the beginning. What does it take to make it robust and consistently working?…please

A BRIEF NOTE ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE SIGNING IN MLS HISTORY

If you are signed up to get the daily "kickoff" email from MLS, you were treated to the following one this morning. For those that didn't get it, here it is. Enjoy!

A BRIEF NOTE ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE SIGNING IN MLS HISTORY

By Sam Jones u/J_SamJones

It almost didn’t even register to me that FC Cincinnati just paid the biggest transfer fee in league history. That’s a statement on a few things. First, that my brain is entirely in playoff mode instead of offseason mode. Second, that this is just what MLS teams do these days. And, third and most importantly, FC Cincinnati are among the most ambitious teams in MLS.

Cincy are a bit of an outlier in that group. We’re normally talking about teams in major media markets when it comes to moves like this. The LAs, Miami, not New York, Atlanta, Chicago. Teams that have big money and big city draw that pulls players in. Whether those players are actually good tends to vary, but no one can accuse those clubs of cheaping out. For the single-smallest media market team in MLS to be throwing around $16 million like this and to have it feel pretty normal is about the best compliment I can give to the club and the folks who run it.

Big money doesn’t always lead to big results though. Take a look at a list of the biggest transfers in MLS history and you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s like half a list of Atlanta United flops and the rest is flops from other teams. A couple of folks have been decent, but only Thiago Almada put in a season anywhere close to living up to his price tag.

Cincy folks are at least aware of one player on the list. The last time FCC spent enough to make it on the list, they brought in Brenner for a little over $12 million. 27 goals in 61 starts later and I don’t think anyone feels like they got their money's worth from that experience. The club didn’t even recoup the transfer fee in the end. After two seasons, Brenner moved on to Udinese for $10 million.

There’s another player on the list they should be aware of though. Chicago’s Hugo Cuypers arrived earlier this year for around $12 million from Belgian side Gent. After winning the Belgian Pro League’s Golden Boot in the 2022-23 season, Cuypers scored 10 goals and two assists in 31 starts for Chicago. Part of that, of course, is because he played for Chicago, but still, he didn’t immediately come in and start running the league.

Now, Denkey arrives after winning the Belgian Pro League’s Golden Boot in the 2023-24 season. Fortunately for Cincy fans, he arrives in a much different situation. FCC were desperate for a starting caliber No. 9 this year. They were an excellent team, but when they reached the playoffs they were playing wingback Luca Orellano out of position up top. It’s hard not to wonder where they would have been if Denkey had arrived a few weeks earlier.

He’s here now though. And FC Cincinnati look hellbent on staying near the top of the East for a fourth-straight year.

Denkey Interview About Joining FC Cincinnati On CBS Golazo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KCPNpjlbCw

Was sold on Denkey already but after hearing him speak about his transfer and why he chose us has me even more onboard. Definitely feels like a player who wants to be here and is driven to improve the team. If Lucho does stay I think we might be feasting next season.

The Ultimate EA FC MLS Career Mode Guide V1

https://preview.redd.it/43h1t00gbi2e1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=92a8705c76ad256df0484d8951bc3d5053660ac1

Hello fellow FCC fans! Now that we are into the offseason, I know that all we are looking forward are getting some new guys in and moving on from others. EA FC (formerly FIFA) is an awesome place to take over as a manager of a club and bring them to glory! However, for those of you that play, you know one thing is unfortunately true: EA doesn't give a shit about the MLS. However, I have great news for you! I decided to create the most immersive and in depth MLS guide to help give you the exact same rules in your manager career as the MLS uses in real life.

If you don't care for the explanation of features below, feel free to access the Ultimate MLS Guide V1 here. Do not request editing permissions as they will not be accepted. Use "File" -> "Make a Copy" in the top left to get your own copy to edit.

Apologies for the lack of pictures in advance. This sub doesn't allow multiple pictures. Feel free to view my profile and read the post on r/FifaCareers for a better look.

Career Overview

The career overview provides a quick look at your success with your club over all your years at the club. Here you can track your yearly finishes, trophy cabinet, transfer records, as well as your teams appearance and goal contributions leaders! As you can see, I prefilled some information to provide an understanding. More information on this can be found on the "How to Use" page in the guide.

Rules

The rules section is an excellent place to really grasp how in depth the MLS rules are. Each rule is explained in a simply yet effective manner so those of you who are unfamiliar with salary caps as well as other MLS rules should feel confident. Additionally, the "House Rules" and "Punishment Roll" are rules I've personally added to increase immersive and realism into your career mode.

Glossary

DP? Supplemental Player? GAM?! What the heck are these terms?! I know, again, MLS is weird. The glossary page in the guide provides an understanding of most terms you will see in the guide and what exactly they mean. A lot of these terms can also be found on the rules sheet with the rules surrounding each term.

Salary Tables

The salary tables page provides the entirety of salary for each player status over all 15 seasons of your career. Don't worry though, each Season sheet is already autogenerated with these figures for the given season. This page is just for viewing. Be extremely careful clicking around on this page and it is directly connected to the Seasons sheets and could potentially cause major issues. Additionally, years 2024 to 2027 are set to match the exact MLS salaries for those years. Every year after that receives a 5% bump (which is how 2024 to 2027 is).

Cap/Roster Compliance

This can be found on the Seasons sheets (sheet names correspond to the year, i.e. 2024, 2025, etc.). Simply enter the team you are managing and everything else seen here is completely automated by things we will look at later. NOTE, the "GAM Penalty" box does not automatically update and is associated with the "Punishment Roll" section in the rules.

Player Information

This is your roster sheet for your current seasons roster. All of these spaces are 100% optional to fill out as they have no direct impact to automation of salaries. Also, don't look too much into the statistics section, I randomly generated those numbers (my 20yr old LB that played 0 games didn't score 7 goals and assists 16 lol).

Player Cap

To the right of your player information you will find your "Salary Cap Compliance" for each player. These sections are extremely important to fill out starting from left to right. The "Yr Wage" will automatically populate once ""Wk Wage" is entered. "Acquisition Costs" and "Signing Bonuses" feed directly into the salary cap hit based on the "Contract Length". Leave the "GAM Applied" section blank for players unless you want to use GAM to buy down their contract.

Remember, this section feeds the Cap/Roster Compliance table to the left on the sheet. If you are getting red colored boxes thrown at you, double check everything is peachy here.

Transfers

This is another section found on the Seasons sheets are is 100% optional. The only column here that feeds information is the "Net Sell-On Costs" as this directly feeds the "GAM Acquired" section on cap compliance. 10% of your net sell-on costs will go to your Acquired GAM.

Summary

Ultimately I built this guide for myself to have the most realistic possible MLS career mode, but as long as the community enjoys it, I will be here to answer questions, interact, and continue making theses! Which reminds me, if you have any suggestions to implement into the guide, let me know via a comment here or a DM. There are some MLS rules that weren't purposefully left out and other automations I plan to add in the future.

Enjoy!
