Is $1000/month for a furnished 1 bed apartment with all utilities included a terrible deal? It sounds like a lot but the only other 1 beds I found were closer to $800 but had no furniture and didn’t include most utilities or wifi. Am I just convincing myself this is a decent idea or is it totally a rip off
I lowkey wanna apply but I’m pescatarian and it doesn’t have any info about what kinda food will be made. Also, how was it? :)
I was wondering if there’s any internships for psych majors preferably during the summer, since I’ll be free then. I tried searching and asking but no one could give me a direct answer was wondering if anyone here knew.
Just one nice shot

EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. There are multiple car alarms going off in IV. I’d just like to know WHY.
I feel like I can’t spend 2 hours in IV without hearing the painstaking noise of BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. Is it the homeless dude that doesn’t believe in cars? Are people stealing? Are people just stupid? Do I have a curse on me??
Anyways that’s all I came on here to say is make it stop. I hate hearing it 😑
All my classes are still covering new content.
All of my classes are still assigning homeworks.
Some of my classes have also assigned final projects on top of my homeworks.
I need to study for finals for all of my classes.
At UCSB we literally have the opposite of a dead week. Consistently every quarter I have had by far the highest workload (not including studying) during dead week. WHYYYTYYY.
Title! They are Black WH1000XM4's lost around ILP/Girvetz probably. Tysm!!
research, review, and share your experiences with women in Isla vista with other guys. Reviews are anonymous and do not require you to sign in.
(This post is to say that whoever made GauchoGuys.com shouldn't have. It's a bad idea prone to misuse.)
looking for someone to watch my cat and stay in my house while i’m traveling for work. obviously will pay! please pm me!
Why... just Whyyyyyy. I thought it was a bomb. My roommates dog was terrified and shaking.
500+ profiles and 1000+ users in just 2 days, insane growth!!
For those who don't know, gauchoguys.com is basically ratemyprofessor but for isla vista men. It helps women stay safe and do their research.
With that growth came three attacks: 1 DDOS attack 2 Injection attacks (one of which was a SQL Injection)
They all failed. Try me.
How hard is the final? For those who had Read how generous was the curve?
Hey! I was just wondering if anybody who took PSTAT8 could tell me how the final went. Do we get notecards this time? I have Gregorian. Thanks!
Hey! I’m a private gen chem tutor and have just began taking clients for Winter quarter! I received A’s on all gen chem exams and have 2 years of prior tutoring experience in AP Calculus as well as college level stastistics courses. While I am flexible with scheduling and location, I only have 5 spots available for next quarter. I charge a flat rate of $45/hr and typically tutor 1-3 hours a week per person, although that number is ultimately up to you. Don’t hesitate to reach out, as I said I have quite limited availability and spots may be taken quickly. Thanks and happy dead week!
I’m having trouble finding a roommate for next year. I’m a freshman and i’ve made a bunch of surface level friends that i’ve hung out with at least once but no actual close friends or a group i hang out with cuz i haven’t found anyone i feel rlly connected with. Now i have no idea how to find a roommate cuz all of my friends have closer friends they’re gonna room with and my current roommate is leaving next year. Help is there a Hinge for roommates? that would be neat lol. i tried roomi and roomster but no one’s on there and i need someone to apply to apartments with. i’m a freshman girl and i guess im pretty weird as in im not a white sorority girl so its a little harder to find someone i connect with. no shade btw
Hi guys, to give a quick amount of context; UCSB has been my dream school since freshman year, and it’s my wish to inch towards it and commit. I am California resident, currently a junior, and by the time I apply for UCS my estimated uw gpa will be within a 3.7-3.75, W as a 4.3-4.35, and UC gpa as a 4.05-4.1. I would consider my awards and extracurriculars as between A tier to B tier, maybe 1 or two approaching S tier. Based on this, I want to know where I am. I want to hear from you guys if you were admitted with similar stats and if so, how likely do you think I’ll be admitted when I apply fall 2025. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as i have spent many nights restless just thinking over this topic, I NEED HOPE!
Are there any parties happening between now and the end of the semester? Is the campus completely dead on weekends or are there parties going on in the daytime? Are there people still walking around campus on Saturdays or is it totally deserted? What’s the party scene like on weekends in Santa Barbara? I’ve always wanted to attend a ucsb party since it’s the most highly rated party school in the world. Can any of you help me out and get me in? Would I be welcome? DM me if any of you would be willing to show me around. Cheers! :)
Hi, I am an international student and plan to stay in the US for the winter break. But I am not sure where to travel for the break and would like to have some suggestions. Thx!
I may fail econ 5 because I’ve dedicated most of my time to Econ 10a. I got a 4/10 on midterm 1 and then an 8/10 on midterm 2 for Econ 10a. As a result, I feel pretty confident about heading into the Econ 10a final. However, I’ve neglected Econ 5 A LOT (skipped the first midterm so entire weight in on the final). I’m basically cramming for Econ 5 because the final is this Saturday, and my hopes are to just get a C in the class, but I don’t even thinks that’s possible. So if I fail Econ 5, can I retake it another quarter and still be accepted into the major? I’m a transfer too btw.
How are you guys doing in Math 3A rn?? I know the professor isn't the best and I wanted to get a consensus of how everyone is studying and if you guys have any tips for the final!
For those that have taken ochem 109A, is the final anything like the midterms and what do you recommend studying for?
Hi there, first year trying to find off campus housing for next year (in iv)... what leasing companies should i avoid? Also any tips pls help, desperate and trying to not be homeless next year <3
Anyone know the math 3b prof for winter?
Hi, im a high school junior rn. so sorry, but I had a question which I was really confused about.
I am close to De Anza and I am trying to take courses that can help me fulfill credits for a UC if I end up getting accepted. I tried researching but I am unsure how the system works and since im a first-gen student, I don't really know many people who I could ask.
Can anyone maybe explain the process or suggest some courses or some site that lays this information out. Would be really really helpful
Hi! I'm currently enrolled in 176A and have an A. But not going to lie, the class is pretty easy. I'm just wondering if anyone who has taken 176B has the syllabus or advice on how to do well in the class. I'm honestly a little scared because the professor who's teaching it hasn't been decided yet. Pls help...
I'm a sophmore and I can't find a club that I enjoyed. It's not that I haven't tried, freshman year I went to a lot of clubs (mostly academic and cultural), but it was just awkward. No one showed up and it honestly felt like I was intruding when I tried to mix with the board. Lowkey might have just been a me problem, but I would generally say I'm extroverted and can make friends easily.
Anyway, I tried to join singing clubs this year and auditioned. I got past the initial audition stage but they dropped me post callbacks....whatever LOL. I didn't really look into joining anything else, but I'm getting a little bored with my life. I have friends, but I also want a group of people I can do a fun shared activity with. I feel like I'm pretty average at everything, but I'd like to volunteer or join a sports club. Just something active or engaging that people ACTUALLY attend.
I was looking at excursion club, but I feel like I'm not the type of person they would like...idk I just have a lot of anxiety about joining things. I've tried so much, but I've had bad experiences overall with clubs. I feel so lame and I need something to do other than research, gyming, studying, and chilling with friends. And um is it too late for me to join stuff, I feel like this should've been a freshman year thing lol.
TDLR: I've had bad experiences with clubs (no one attends, awkward). Need something fun to do (volunteering, sports, outdoor stuff, etc), but I'm exceptionally average at basically everything. Scared I'll have the same experience, but wanna meet people who are excited to just do something other than academic stuff.
HELP ME !
