I dropped my keys somewhere around the lagoon or the trail overlooking Campus Point. It had the keys to my residence hall and room pls lmk if anyone found them.
Helllo humanities major here. I am very much not stem inclined, but I need to take some C credit gen eds and I was thinking about taking one winter quarter. Does anyone know of some easier, lowkey C credit classes?? Or just easy to pick up for someone who’s not great at math?
I just transferred here, and was planning to be an Econ major and taking 10a + 5 in the fall, but I decided to do Econ & Accounting instead. So right now I'm taking 5 and 3a, and am gonna take 10a and 3b winter quarter with ED118 as an easy upper div elective. How doable is this?
I'm looking to upgrade from my hercules DJcontrol inpulse 300 mk2 to a bigger dj controller. If you are looking into djing and are looking for a first controller, I would gladly part with it for $100. It's a great, budget friendly option and has taught me alot over the course of a year. Despite it's age, the controller is still in like new/lightly used condition (minor scratches on the back due to light wear from dj gigs). If you are a more experienced dj with some bigger boards and are willing to do some sort of trade, I'm more than happy to do that as well. Meetups only though, I live on dp.
i had a mental health crisis and didn’t show up to lectures or do homework for my math class for the past 2 week. i missed all of chapter 7 and am currently reading the textbook and doing the textbook problems but despite all my effort it isn’t making much sense.
does anybody know of resources that helped them learn this stuff? i have ceniceros and he doesn’t post much (if anything) for resources to help learn the stuff. i’m thinking an actual video would probably help so please please please put me on something bc im actually fucked for this class rn
:(
lost a "UCSB sister" shirt somewhere by the lagoon/manzi beach yesterday (don't ask me how you lose a shirt) please lmk if youve found it
Has anyone done a study abroad in London for the fall. What was your experience like? What school did you choose? I’m thinking of doing one as an Econ major. Thanks!

Does anyone have a reliable ride service that they have used to the airport from Anacapa? Unfortunately the flight is scheduled for Thanksgiving morning so that may be difficult on a holiday, and it looks like the bus is not running that day. If we take a bike to airport is it safe to leave the bike locked up there and is there ample bike racks? And Apple Maps says a 32 minute walk so I’m thinking that may be ok?

I was visiting UCSB campus and lost my AirPods. I have a good idea of where I might have dropped them, and find my is also showing a location close to it. Can someone help me find them, and ship them to me? Willing to pay for the help. I’m from Texas and only realized they were missing when I had driven a couple of hours away.
I'm currently a freshman looking for housing for 2025-2026 and everything is so overwhelming. I have heard from upperclassmen that the average off campus rent is $1,100 but most of what I've looked at (Icon apartments, Mosaic) is in the range of $1,300-$1,500. Is there something I'm missing here where can I find affordable housing???
Title is pretty self-explanatory. I have a lab at the same time as 127 but really want to take it and wondering if it’s possible to get by with watching the lectures online & just attending section? Thanks!!
My girlfriend and I were driving and just got yelled at and harassed unprovoked by these girls driving a silver pickup truck with a trump flag. They said homophobic slurs and bs to us (we’re gay). Totally not surprised. If anyone says this area is progressive they’re not living in reality. They’re still driving in the area rn, tail gating ppl.
I've been at ucsb for a couple years now and my self esteem has honestly crumbled. This definitely has more to do with my own issues than anything affiliated with the school but everyone here is so pretty, it seems like everyone (on the outside) is generally happy, and people are outgoing and party and make friends easily and it has gotten to me lately. I go out once in a while and have a small group of friends and am so grateful for them, but it can be hard seeing people living it up on social media and constantly going out. I try to reassure myself that I'm doing the right thing and focusing on classes, studying, and trying to prep for the future instead of building a larger social circle but idk. anyone relate or have advice?
Long shot but does anyone happen to know if MCDB 112L tends to fill up completely pass 1?
hi! has anyone had simpson for mcdb101b. If so, are her iclickers mandatory or graded? Joshi is better for my schedule, but I heard that his class is more difficult. thank u!
On the off chance anyone else is fucking with one of the greatest bands of all time and is going hit me up maybe we can carpool 👀
I received a poor grade from my paper for Chicano Studies 1A, that would fine but the TA mentioned points from the prompt that I hadn’t seen or heard before. I looked at the prompt and found that on canvas, the file linked with the assignment is different from the file on the modules page. The one in the modules page is much longer and has the details my TA mentioned, while the one on the assignment’s page is what I based my paper on. This is insane to me and it is only fair that I get graded on the prompt I used right? The two have the same file name and everything. I can’t be the only one who made this “mistake” either. If my TA or the professor doesn’t do anything about this who can I escalate this to? The department perhaps?
I'm taking 2 pre-major classes for winter and have 10 units.
Can anyone recommend a 2-3 unit class that I can use as filler that won't be too catastrophic? Or classes they took at a different UC online that weren't too bad?
Hi does anyone know where we can find the econ5 problem set answers? I know there was a subreddit for econ10a w/ problem set answers so I was wondering if there was one for this class too. Thanks!
Hello, I was looking at the courses offered for Winter 2024 and saw CHEM W 109C as the "C" course of the organic chemistry series offered. I am looking to declare as a Cell and Developmental Biology major and wanted to know if anybody knows if CHEM W 109C can work as a CHEM 109C replacement? Thank you!
I’ve never understood what this thing is all about, but the most recent version is great. Didn’t expect that ending at all haha.
I'm really interested in the study of plants specifically ethnobotany but I'm not a biology major or anything remotely related. Is there any classes of the sort I could take that don't have a major requirement and is relatively lower division?
Soooo...
I'm a senior bio major and I haven't been able to grab any sort of lab experience outside of classes. I've been thinking of emailing professors again to see if they wanted an extra set of hands in their lab from Nov to maybe August, but I know as a senior they probably wouldn't want to take me in since ten months is still a pretty short time frame compared to what they can get out of sophomores and juniors.
I feel sort of at a loss lol. I started feeling a sense of crisis about this way too late (middle of junior year) and then I never managed to land any position at a lab. :') I thought about asking my TAs, but I feel awkward showing up to only ask if their lab needs a volunteer, or if they know someone who needs a volunteer.
Anyone else in this position? Any advice??
So their ig story said it’s only open to members now bc of the ordinance but I’m a nonmember and I bought my wristband before they made that announcement. I would ask them but they never reply to DMs lol. Anyone know if I can still get in? Thanks.
Just a heads up if you’re driving in IV tonight
So im a current stats and data science major and trying to double major econ + accounting. After recieving the first exam for 3A I'm at a 70.8% right now and its looking like even if I really lock in i'll only be able to pass with a C or C+ at best.
Since I'm trying to get recruited into the big 4 firms and I know they place emphasis on GPA I'm wondering if I should aim for a C- and just retake the class. I know winter recruitment starts soon for the firms and I'm scared If I pass the class with a C that when I'm networking that they'll see and recognize it. Any advice?
