1. Are the opportunities to participate (and of course, earn money) as a subject available all throughout the year, not just in summer?
2. Do I get paid in physical cash money or ssomething else?
3. Can I be guaranteed to easily acquire subject spot in a study/experiment?
4. How do I find out what I need to do as a subject for the studies/exexperiments?
5. Do I have to physically be at a location?
6. How long would I usually participate in a day? How frequent do I participate per week/month? And about how long do I stay as subject until my duty is done or the study is done?

I've checked the sub's history but didn't find an answer for my situation so I will just ask, sorry if it's been asked before. Anyway, I am considering dropping a class depending on how I do on my midterm (tomorrow) but the deadline to drop classes with a W is this Friday (unless I'm mistaken). But the class is a grad level course (i'm an overly ambitious undergrad). Does that mean I cannot drop the class at all after Friday? Or do I have until 12/2 (the date for graduates to drop with a W)? Any suggestions would be appreciated, I am doubtful my prof will grade the exams and release the results before Friday so should I just ask him to grade me sooner? Is that rude lol. Also if it's relevant, dropping the class would put me below 12 units (I don't get any aid or scholarship or loans) so that shouldn't matter right? Should I just ask VAC I feel like this is complicated. Thanks for any info 🥲

Hi, I am taking 4 basic biological science classes this January to get my gpa higher before applying to PA school in April (immunology, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, introduction to clinical hematology). They are all asynchronous and are 3 months long from January to March. Has anyone taken these on the UCSD extension, any advice or information that is useful?

I transferred here from CC to finish my B.A. I'm originally from the other end of CA.

I've tried to be social even though it's not in my wheelhouse. I joined clubs and tried to be outgoing. I haven't seen a lot of success though. Like, I guess no one openly hates me? But like, a lot of the acquaintanceships I've made have either fizzled out, stayed stagnant, or are awkward now because of me not being the best socially.

Is this normal for students here?
