I need one more unit to make myself a full time student and don’t want a heavy load of classes. Any one know any 1-2 unit classes that are fun?
I applied late to CSU-channel islands as an international student. can anyone comment or reply so we can talk about it.
Hello, I am a Master's student at Carnegie Mellon but I am interning at Camarillo till mid August. I got the internship very suddenly and have been living at hotels the past week.
Looking for some housing close to CSUCI. Is anyone looking for a short-term roommate or a sublease or anything at all? I'll appreciate any leads!
I'm only 22 and don't know people here so looking for friends to hang out with as well :)
Hello all! I’m coming this weekend for my niece’s commencement ceremony. The 2 parking passes she was allotted have been claimed, so I was wondering what my options were. Sounds like there won’t be any non-commencement permit parking available on campus.
I don’t mind walking for a mile or so…is there street parking in the area around campus on weekends? Like University Drive or Potrero or Lewis?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hey everyone. I have heard multiple different things about the grade cut off to actually pass a class. Some say it’s a 70% others say it’s a 76%. I’m currently in a finance class and wondering what grade I have to go for on the final.
Do you pass a class with a 70% or a 76% in the class?
Hi I am thinking about going to CSUCI and living on campus. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what it's like to live on campus. When I visited it seemed super empty so im concerned about the social life on campus because I would be moving in from out of state and I want to be able to make friends.
Also, im trying to put together a budget. Does anybody know the cost of laundry on campus at CSUCI? is there a laundry building on campus? Is there internet in the dorms? Is it good? Do you have to pay for it?
Thanks
Do CI accept OOS students? I will not get into any of the UC’s ( 4.0 w gpa). So looking for other options. tia!!
I took AP English in high school and passed. I went to community college and now I want to start my undergraduates.
When I submitted my application I couldn’t remember when I exactly took the test. I took the test in 2015. I remembered passing and taking it near the end of the school year.
So when I submitted my application I put in my score and guessed the date of when I took the exam.
In the meantime I had already requested my scores from the college board. But because my scores were archived it took a long time to process. I got my scores long after I submitted my application.
I didn’t report the correct date of the test (which I kinda expected) but I realized I reported the wrong score. I thought I earned a 4 but I got a 3.
It’s still passing but now I’m scared if I report my scores from the college board CSUCI will withdraw my acceptance. Am I screwed??
Has anyone who sent their acceptance form gotten any emails or updates with anything new regarding the CI nursing program for Fall '24?
I am going to be a senior at CI and currently living at home but my parents are moving and would have to move into the dorms for the second semester next year. Would that be possible?

We earned our graduation, worked for it and they charge nearly $200 for the entire regalia (e.g., tassle, gown, etc) like?? That should be given because it was earned. It feels like we're buying our graduation. Just saying, terrible feeling.
Also, anyone know where the walking ceremony is being held? Lmao
Hello, I live around the area and was looking to put my digital and film camera to use. I mostly use it as a hobby but definitely know how to use one since I took several photography courses during my college time. Because of that, I’ll do the first several photoshoots for free.
If anybody is interested, feel free to comment or DM me! I’ll share my socials for safety and legitimacy obviously too.
Im a junior in California and my current weighted gpa is 3.00 and ive completed all a-g and im currently do all of the reccomneded extra year for like science and math but I do a lot of extra curricular.I do a lot of sports, Varisty Cross country, Varsity Wrestling, Track and Field, Baseball, I do some clubs, Pokemon Go Club, Envirementol Club, Bowling Club. Idk if volunteering helps but I help at my local little league. I have no idea if any of these extra curriculars help my chances but I was just looking for some advice on if i have a good chance because someone told me that colleges would rather have an alright student that involves themselves in activites then a good student with nothing. Any help?
Hey y’all I’m considering transferring to CSUCI next year for computer science and wanted to see if I could get a couple questions answered. (Transferring from SBCC)
In general how good is the program in terms of faculty engagement, work opportunities, and classes offered?
How much help is there for CS? Like, is there a dedicated computer lab for computer science majors, available tutors, study groups etc.
Is there any active club or community on campus that involves computer science?
I think that’s all ^-^ Thank you for any info about these!
I'm applying for housing, but the deposit is $500 and im not even sure if i want to go here... i emailed and asked if it was refundable and all they told me was that it goes straight to my dorm cost. if anyone could give me some help that would be **amazing** </3
Hi, I’m a sophomore at USC who’ll be working at Attollo engineering, about 15 minutes from CSUCI this summer. I’m looking for anyone who’s subleasing nearby for the summer. DM me if you’re interested!
I'm currently in community college in New York, studying anthropology. I think your campus is beautiful and the small class size is appealing to me. My high school grades are rough but I've been doing very well in college (sitting around a 3.6 gpa). I've been very active with clubs and am in the process of starting some volunteer work over the summer. Would a transfer here be a feasible option or should I look somewhere else?
hi! i’m currently an undergrad at uc berkeley and i’ll be interning at a company near CSUCI this summer. given that i’m not from the area, i’d love some advice on finding summer housing and roommates! or to connect with someone also looking for summer housing! i’m trying to live in oxnard, but i don’t know anybody in the area :(

I applied to CSUCI BA in Psychology Extension Program Online. I was under the impression the CSUCI Extension programs would receive access to the same grants as the regular brick and mortar majors, but because it’s a fully online and called an extension program I wonder if I will have to use FASFA and take out loans to cover everything. Has anyone completed this program or know anything about what grants are available to them?
