I know this has been posted a total of God knows how many times, but is anyone down to be genuine friends on campus. I’m currently a first year Mechanical Engineering major who dorms on campus. I’m very welcoming.👍🏽
You guys weren’t kidding when yall said the quarter system is literally just a dream, I feel like everything is slipping out of my control😭 I have so many exams I literally feel like I can’t keep up without losing a lot of sleep or eating almost less than the bare minimum😭 instead of the freshman 15, I’ve lost 15 pounds, I’m so concerned for my health but literally my schedule is busy to the max. And math, my math isn’t hard but just the amount of assignments without being taught is insane, feels like busy work almost
should I take this class as a first year?
I finished up my BA in psych last spring, and I’ve really felt the urge to go back and get another BA in neuroscience as I LOVED psych 110 and am just overall fascinated with the brain. Since I graduated early I still have exactly half of my financial aid available (300/600) and I do still have some of my dad’s military benefits as well. Does going back affect financial aid? Also do I get to skip all the general education classes and go straight to upper divisions?
I want to start working out, but im not sure where to start. I normally just do cardio and that’s really it but wanted some help on more workouts. Would greatly appreciate for any advice and if anyone would wanna go workout together at the SRC
ok does anybody know if a LOT of ppl vote on campus i’m trying to vote early on campus tmrw it opens at 9, but i have a class at 11 and usually leave my home around 10:20 how early should i leave to vote ;-;
Please guys, I need this.
Graduated over the summer with a BA in sociology, I wanted to take a small break after graduation due to working full time along with school. However, I had health issues after that & needed surgery which I am now ok, just need to recover. I never considered graduate school as I am 29 already (I feel old). Also, I never even attempted to go get the recommendation letters from professors, so I have no idea if they would even consider giving me one. I just know I don’t really want to go back to school, but I also haven’t had the opportunity to start applying. I just need some positive feedback if it’s WORTH even going back to school… I just have no clue what I even want to do moving forward 😓
I am looking for MS in Computer Science (Fall 2025) with a focus on AI & ML/Data Science. Want to know if UCR provides any specialized tracks for them or any separate courses/programs? Or are they just available as electives in main CS program?
If available, will the final degree show any specialization?
anybody know how hard the class is? and also know which which instructors teach hiphop?
I posted this a few days back but I’m getting desperate…
Hi all,
I am applying for transfer to UCR for Fall 2025. I have a question about the foreign language requirement. For Political Science, it looks like UCR requires the completion of the fourth quarter in a foreign language. With my IGETC requirements completed, would this still be applicable? IGETC only requires one college-level course to fulfill the area. I have heard someone mention that they were able to use the IGETC fulfillment to get the UCR foreign language requirement removed, so I'm curious if anyone has had the same experience or can provide any input.
does anyone know when i can expect the registration site to be fixed? im trying to make my plan but it wont tell me what time classes are and it also won’t load my classes into a term plan 😞
the title, aka how are his tests (are they hard and in person), are they frq or mc.
If so, how does he take attendance, has there been any pop quizzes and also how is your grade in the class. I'm hoping to get an A next quarter
I know it’s almost week 6 but is there a discord for these 2 classes:
-Math 009B with Jose Gonzalez -Econ 003 with Jay Dhar
All I ask is just this one thing... Please, for the love of god, stop taking your breaks in the bathroom.
Listen. I get it. There isn't an actual break room, and the bench in it is tempting. However, the bathroom is a room with a very specific purpose, one which is in direct opposition to the goal of having a nice break. I am aware that it is probably gross for you when I use the room for its intended purpose while you're in there eating your sandwich, but consider, perhaps, the following: There are several places in the HUB where you could be doing that, while this is the only place where I can do what I intend to do.
Seriously, you can sit outside, find a seat in the HUB itself, sit somewhere in the hallway near the trashcans, you name it! You have so many options that aren't the bathroom! You don't have to sit in the bathroom for thirty minutes before your shift; there are other places on campus for that! Take a rip from your vape literally anywhere else, and let me use the toilet in peace. You've got so many options, but I only have this one.
Just... please, stop taking your breaks in the bathroom...
Hi everyone! I'm a sophormore rn, and I'm planning to take CS061 next quarter. I was told that the assembly language is not easy, so I decide to preview for it. I just wonder is there any textbook for the class and what development tool do you guys use for programming the assembly language? Thx!

Hey! I'm looking for someone to take over my lease in Riverside, California. The complex is called University Village Towers and it's roughly ~ 20 minutes walking distance from campus. There's a bus route that allows students to arrive at school / return back home. The price is $1300 monthly, the unit is a 3x3, you get your own private room and bathroom. It's an all females unit. There's loads of amenities, such as a pool, study rooms, a gym, and laundry room on every floor. I'm looking for someone to take over the lease by the end of fall quarter, starting in January 2025 this unit will be available. No pets, but if you do have pets you can notify the complex on the online report.
Specific Location: Riverside, California > University Village Tower Price: $1300 Dates: January 2025 - August 2025
Please PM if curious! I can provide photos / more details.
I’m currently a first year pre business student and I’m taking math9b. I was wondering if it’s a good idea to take math9c next quarter? I know it’s not a requirement but I genuinely do find math really interesting and I’m planning on possibly double majoring in finance and mathematics, so I would need the credit anyways.
Also curious when I can declare a double major so I’d know if I’m on track. Thanks!
I just graduated with a BA after this past summer, and I noticed that if i wanted to finish a BA in another field, I could get it done in just two quarters, so I was just curious if anyone has gone back to finish another degree. It would mostly be an endeavor for my own knowledge and to open up potential opportunities for work/grad school. Am I still eligible for financial aid after graduating? Is it even doable? I intend to eventually ask advisors about this but any information beforehand would be appreciated! :)
