My brother attempted to take his own life for the second time last week. I get accommodations from SDC but my disability has become unmanageable under the stress of this. Once my symptoms flared up I immediately contacted my healthcare team. I spoke with them and we’re trying to get my symptoms under control again.

Two of my professors will allow me to take an incomplete because I completed over half of the coursework for the quarter, except for a midterm I need to at least pass next week. I have done well in those classes, getting mostly A’s on my work. But for the other class it’s still just too early in the quarter.

I’ve spoken with advisors, my instructors, and some of my peers on what to do. I really want to avoid a retroactive drop or withdrawal because I can’t afford to retroactively lose financial aid for this quarter.

Do you guys know what other options I have to try besides an Incomplete or Retroactive Drop/Withdrawal?

I was just wondering will they accept my petition to double major if I go over the unit cap on my last quarter?

I’m a Mathematical Analytics and Operation Research major but I want to switch to Mathematical Scientific Computational major next quarter. I just wonder how hard it is to switch major within the same math department? What is the process like? I’m a second year now but haven’t had any chances to take preparatory subjects such as MAT 21ABCD yet cause I’ve been on the waitlist multiple times. Do I have to take these courses before switching to another major in the same department? I’m not sure whether I have to fulfill any prerequisites before switching and it is too late to switch major now during my second year? I’ve been taking GE courses and sure that I want to switch to other math major. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks

Based on it, should I expect to make $34k, before taxes? Do I have to pay tuition out of pocket, or does being a TA for 50% get us a tuition remission (even if im an international student)?

We walk the arboretum almost daily with our dog Jojo, a ball freak. Tim, one of the friendly groundskeepers offered her a tennis ball one time. Now on our walks, Jojo obsessively scouts around to find Tim to score another ball. He keeps extra balls just for Jojo. The Arboretum is the perfect place to relax and walk or sit and listen to the birds and experience the changing seasons. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful slice of nature at the campus. Thanks Tim and all who work so hard to maintain the grounds there.

Does anyone have any experience with transferring into CS in CoE if your above the 135 unit limit? Lets say 160-170 units? Having completed all prereqs with all As (36A-C, 20, 50). How would a well written/reasoned appeal fare? Or is it just an auto deny.

Im not enjoying what Im studying and really hoping its not to late to do the thing that Ive always enjoyed and done well at, due to poor decision making.

The giedt hall women’s bathroom smells like vomit and garbage, and I went in to go to the bathroom and almost threw up multiple times. It smells so fucking bad. I don’t know how the men’s bathroom is. Does anyone know why it stinks so bad, or if they’re gonna fix it??? Please I want to pee without gagging and holding back vomit
