I’m looking to do a study abroad this summer and was wondering why anyone would apply through UCEAP, when taking courses at the university directly is significantly cheaper. For example the London school of economics summer program through UCEAP is 18k for out of state students, while it’s 5k in you just apply on LSEs website. Obviously you need to account for housing, food, and flights, but it would still be about 8k cheaper (which is funnily close to the UCEAP fee listed on their website). Someone please explain what the catch is?

If I'm choosing between 32A with Shin, 33A with Nienhaus, and 1B with Gardner, which two should I first pass? I was thinking of doing 32A and 33A first pass bc the profs are good, but I'm worried about not getting 1B with Gardner as I really like her teaching style and I'm not sure how fast her 1B classes fill up, or how fast any of these classes fill up honestly.

About Us: We are 3 second-years/incoming third-years (19F) that are looking for another group to split our UA with. We are Phy Sci, Bio, and Cog Sci majors (#womeninstem <3). In our (very limited 🙁) free time we love having movie nights, reading, exploring LA, and exchanging memes with each other. 

We are hoping to get a 2-bedroom 6-person university apartment for next year! (Probably Gayley Heights, Landfair Vista, Levering Terrace) Ideally we would prefer another group of incoming third-years just so we don’t have to search for another set of roommates next year. 

Our General Policies/Lifestyle:

• Drinking is ok in the apartment, but preferably no smoking 
• Daytime guests are fine, but we’d prefer to have a heads-up for overnight guests
• We are relatively clean, and we’d like roommates that are too. As long as you clean up after yourselves in the kitchen + bathroom, there won’t be any issues. 
• We usually go to bed around 12-1am and wake up around 7-8am on weekdays.

Graduated last spring in Bus Econ. Realized my senior year that I'm not into the whole finance/banking/econ world anymore so I abandoned it.
