I’ve gone back to the hr manager to ask about housing and relocation fees. If there’s a chance for on base housing do you think that would change much? ———————
I was given only 3 days to accept or decline a position at Camp Hueneme. They have offered the above but we are currently overseas. So we would have to get a house, car, etc. have lived overseas since I was 19 so I have no storage or anything in the states. Is this doable? Would we struggle? Ive been looking online for places and Zillow is making me nervous. Reached out to housing to ask about if base housing is offered to gov’t or not. This isn’t for our repatriation so I could wait for that to happen but by then I have to accept what is offered or quit. (Hence the emergency tag). Looking. For serious answers please.
Do you guys have like a coffee place recommendation that’s not big chain? Thanks!
Just moved here from San Diego and I'm trying to find spots that can compete with the food out there.
Will it be hard or easy for me to meet new people here? Whats the dating scene like
Recently moved out of state, but all of my family is still based in Thousand Oaks. Mother's Day is coming up and I want to have flowers sent over to my mom's, any recommendations for businessea that deliver to the area?
I've enjoyed eating outdoors at The Old Place in Cornell and The Stonehaus in Westlake Village, and would appreciate recommendations of other restaurants also having good food and a nice outdoor seating area. Thanks!

I rent a room in Oxnard and the landlord charges me $150 for utilities in a 4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom house. Is this considered normal or they are overcharging me?
Or on the side streets near Ventura Ave? Just curious. It would be convenient after work
Live in Oxnard so preferably closer but looking for a new gym because 24hr is so packed all the time. I go around 4-6pm
Hey does any have a good primary care doctor recommendations?
Just curious if anyone does and what that's like?
Unlike the other poster who asked this question, I cannot eat meat; I also can't eat beans. I used to LOVE burgers before I lost the ability to eat meat, and I miss them a lot. What's your recommendation for good non-bean vegan burgers? I like traditional veggie burgers and the new Impossible "meat" style ones.
I’m a sucker for burgers (beef only, not salmon or vegan)! From hole in the wall, to franchise (like Habit), to gourmet or burgers at breweries.
I’ve only been living in Ventura for a year, so I’m still relatively new.
What would you recommend?
I have a bunch of custom built small form factor desktops that are going to be e-wasted. I wanted to see if either there is a place that would pay for them or even certain parts of I removed them. If anyone is interested in a small desktop too I can sell them cheaply, they just have no storage drives right now but I can easily install one. Thanks.
Looking for a new gym. Not looking for a commercial gym like crunch, golds or 24hr. Preferably older style gym, old machines, metal plates etc.
Hey, I’ve lived here over a decade but I’m kind of at a loss because most of the spots I’ve picked in the past have closed down. I used to go to Janette’s Eidelweiss or Ladyface and I’ve done Fluid State the last couple years but want to change it up.
I’m looking for somewhere cool to go out to for dinner with my family for my birthday. It would be cool if they had something interesting going on with drinks (distillery, brewery, maybe cocktails, not into wine) but my kids are both under 10 so it has to be somewhere kids can go. We’d be out earlyish, like around 4pm, so the place getting rowdy later wouldn’t be a problem.
I’m open to really any kind of food except seafood or pizza, and geographically anything in between TO and Ventura, maybe a little further if something is really cool.
I’ve been scrolling through Yelp and if I can’t find anything else I’ll probably end up at Pedals and Pints, but if anyone has a recommendation I’d love to hear it.
does anyone know of an open water swim clinic for beginners in or around ventura county? when i’m googling all i see is open pools

Looking for a barber that has some experience (patience) with autistic children. Anyone know of a barber or shop? Would appreciate recommendations. Thank you
Hello!
I'm getting married in 6 months and I would like recommendations for a reputable (yet reasonably affordable) attorney who does prenuptial agreements. I'm located in NP I would prefer remote appointments but I can do in-person appointments if needed. TIA!
Hello all! I am looking for some help finding someone who could weld some holes in my trunk lid for me. I am replacing the spoiler and there are some holes that will be visible if not repaired. I know how to do some simple body work with bondo but would rather have the holes welded. There are 5 holes that would need welding. I can take it from there after that just need the holes welded so I can sand and repaint. If anyone has any suggestions or can help me out please send me a pm or comment! Thank you all!!
Besides the Santa barbara fair this weekend (not venco) what is going on closer to home? Kid friendly.
Happy Sunday and happy race day to all of you doing Aut2Run or M2B! You got this!
I live in TO. I am doing a remodel and need an electrical and plumbing permit. While I'm at it I'm filing a building permit for a 145 sq ft laundry/storage addition. The city is asking me for lot lines and easements. Does this mean I need an entire survey (cheapest l've found is 2k). Or would the city have this on file? Permits were pulled on this home for a different addition in 1971. I feel like they would have had to do a survey then. Where can I check to see if the city still has this survey? Thanks to anyone who can help
