Just the first episode but I kind of dig it? I wish I knew this existed when it came out. I was 12 years old in 94, I would have ate this up.
As an adult? It's a perfectly fine low budget, less violent, take on Robocop.
Very fun to draw!
Gary Oldman was a main character in the 2014 remake of RoboCop
I'm kicking myself now because when I had the opportunity to acquire a copy of the Robocop musical, I did but didn't put it anywhere safe like cloud storage or something and it's gone somewhere and it's disappeared from the internet... I'M PUTTIN' OUT AN APB: If you know the whereabouts or information leading to the apprehension of this musical, I will reward you for your trouble. Thank you for your cooperation, goodnight.
I have the want to finish/remake this but I figured I'd show the best damned subreddit on earth and see if it's even warranted.
...Wow....just wow
A buddy of mine had this theory that That 70s Show and RoboCop might share the same universe. His reasoning…Kurtwood Smith.
Kurtwood played both Clarence Boddicker in RoboCop and Red Foreman in That 70s Show, as well as it’s sequel series, That 90s Show. He also alluded to the possibility that hat the two characters could be related. So I added to the theory that Clarence could be Red’s great great grandson. The grandson no one could be proud of.
Somewhere along the timeline, Clarence’s family would relocate to Detroit. There, Clarence would be exposed to every bad influence in sight and immerse himself into the criminal underworld and become the crime boss whose fate was sealed the day Alex Murphy crossed his path.
But it’s all just a theory.
So, this past year, something that started off as a personal project turned into a full-fledged band. My band's name is Amalgam of Hate, and we are a Dorm Death Trash band (a play on death-thrash) with an emphasis on groove death metal. We aim for an early '90s sound. Everything was recorded and done in my dorm room on my Mac. Our first song is titled 'Worthy Dead', which is inspired completely by Robocop. I sample Robocop multiple times throughout the song, and the lyrics are Robocop's journey, realizing that the splatter punks aren't the only enemy, but the corrupt cops are as well. The first verse is Robo cleaning up the streets, but the second verse is Robo pissed off at the corrupt police force. If you could give it a listen and some constructive feedback, that would be amazing. If not, I appreciate your time reading this post!

Okay so I've been a fan of robocop for a while ever since I watched the first movie a good 11-ish years ago but i ultimately forgot about it till a few months ago. Since then I've watched all 4 movies and I've played and finished rogue city 2 days ago and let me tell you it's reignited my love for this franchise.
I'm planning to watch prime directive, and the two animated series in the future, as well as read a few comics, and any fanfics that are good and I'm going to be getting those books where you can build your own robocop figure based off of the first one. Honestly can't wait for that lmao.
That's all I really wanted to say haha.

When I was a young teen I had a very contentious relationship with my father. He was a stern, military man who raised us accordingly. Vietnam had a profound effect on him, as it did many vets at the time.
We'd been going to therapy and trying to work through it but it all felt very forced. Then one day he asked me if I wanted to go see this new movie called Robocop. I love movies so I was glad to go. I figured he wanted to take me because he knew it was something I would enjoy.
Fast forward to the moment in the film that Kurtwood Smith gets nuclear waste dumped all over him and stumbles in front of a giant van. When he splattered like sticky goo all over the windshield, I laughed hysterically and, much to surprise, so did my dad.
It was in that moment that I realized my dad and I were exactly alike. Underneath that Vietnam-calloused exterior was the young kid who loved goofy action sequences as much as I did. He wanted me to go so he could share Robocop with me because it was something he knew we'd both enjoy.
From that moment on, things were different between us. No more therapy. No more fighting. As dumb as it sounds, Robocop had healed our relationship.
TL;DR - Robocop made me realize my father and I had more in common than I ever could have imagined.
I wanted to add back in the intended amount of Verhoeven-ess that those short sighted prudes over at the Motion Picture Association's rating department took out. It was art and they destroyed it. Here you go.
