Oʻahu, known as "The Gathering Place", is the third-largest of the Hawaiian Islands.

We are going to be in Oahu next week and are seeking food recommendations.
We especially want to eat stuff that we aren’t as likely to encounter in CA or that Hawaii does really well and mostly want to skew more informal/inexpensive like food trucks or hole in the wall places. We aren’t picky at all.
Though we would love to know if we haven’t one fine dining experience where you’d recommend.
Thank you! 😃🍽️
My coworker says she can’t find this in Hawaii. Does anyone know where you can buy it here?
i was at pohakupu park hanging with my sister and niece and some other family members a week ago. i’m playing with my niece at the playground area when a dog suddenly and very quickly comes running up from behind us, i’m assuming from ulumalu street, and goes straight for oncoming traffic on 72… cars eventually stop for a red light and the dog is running around barking at cars. a bunch of motorcyclists are in the road. as soon as the green light comes and traffic starts moving again, the dog started running alongside the motorcycles… and kept going as they turned left at the light, somehow keeping pace with them?! i did not see anyone come out of a house on ulumalu looking for a dog. pretty sure it had a collar on. what’s that all about? anybody have any ideas? do you think the dog was with the cyclists?
Cat feeders and colony carerers, how are the cats faring?
Every store I go into, I can only find caffeine free DIET cola. Tastes like ass. I just want a regular ass soda with all the sugar but with no caffeine. Anybody know of anywhere on the island that sells just plain caffeine free coke?
Mahalo in advance.
Driving home near the Servoco in Salt Lake a white sedan come between the cars on Kikowaena St with a cop chasing him. Bastrd ripped the front off another car turning right onto Ahua St. I guess we all hear the sirens so we scooched over to the side and that frika just come barrelling through. Can't help but think if we didn't move for the sirens he woulda been caught earlier cause otherwise no way through.
Anyone knows where to find the Propitious Mango ice cream on Oahu?!
(Anywhere on the island)
Hey! Has anybody had experience with getting reimbursed for damage due to a city vehicle hitting their car? I submitted a claim with my insurance as well as filed a police report. The driver stopped and called the cops and admitted fault. My insurance agent told me it’s really hard / slow to get money back from the state to even reimburse my deductible. So that’s kinda shitty if that’s the case. Looking to see if anybody has advice or has gone through something similar. I attached the video for fun.
Does anyone recommend or know of a Kung Fu school/studio here on Oahu? Preferably the windward side but I am open to traveling further if it’s a well reviewed place. Starting off as beginner in Kung fu. Female
Thank you
did anyone hear a loud explosion sound around 1140pm last night? I’m in makiki and it sounded like a canon went off. def not a firework and an odd time for anything else. scared the shit out of me, no one else around me seems to have heard this. any insight???
I am an epileptic and I need my emergency meds Lorazepam. My provider is out of state and I am concerned because the pharmacy said they cannot fill this med. Does anyone have any advice? I do not have health insurance.
If I went to an urgent care, can the doctor write me multiple prescription slips for the future so I don’t have to make an appointment every month?
No jobs, No houses, No Future. Somebody gotta make the sign "Welcome to Haole/Micro Land"
Not being picky here. I’ve searched top to bottom on indeed and zip recruiter, made a few inquiries, but still fishing around for something that just may not be found on online.
I’m now searching for those “Now Hiring” places with a piece of paper stuck to a window that have little online presence and you might’ve just briefly noticed the previously mentioned ‘Now Hiring’ sign while walking or driving by, grabbing lunch. The kind of place that would hire you on the spot and very likely will take you through the wringer. Kidding, but not really.
Not interested in the type of job, location or the pay as I’ll do my research and pop in to apply or dig a little deeper—I just need help figuring out where to start looking. “Small mom & pop store or small business currently hiring part-time” is just a preference as my current full-time has some flexibility. Drop some locations!
