In the 19th century the area was a farm of King Kalākaua, where ostriches roamed wild over the mountain side. It later became the site of a carnation farm for funeral flowers. Now a mix of residential area with a small business district (mainly restaurants and service industries), it is located in the urbanized Honolulu region near Kahala and Diamond Head.

Does anyone recommend a place to get a men's haircut in Kaimuki? Thanks.
Aloha,
Looking for recommendations for a Gym at or near Kaimuki where I currently reside. Because of my work hours it's been hard to find one in general, I typically am at work from 6AM to 6PM Monday through Friday. I would also be interested in finding a lifting buddy if you have a home gym. I am a novice and would not call myself a gym rat whatsoever, just looking to workout 3x a week for the health benefits/keeping in shape. Having someone to socialize with while working out def makes it a lot more fun. HMU and I would love to tell you more about myself. Thanks!
Is there any monthly covered parking in Kaimuki available?
