The United States Navy (USN) is the naval warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the seven uniformed services of the United States. The U.S. Navy is the largest in the world; its battle fleet tonnage is greater than that of the next 13 largest navies combined. The U.S. Navy also has the world's largest carrier fleet, with 11 in service, one under construction (two planned), and one in reserve.

Cycle Rank Order 10 out of 1138 FMS 154.49 .. minimum to advance 138.09 Exam 63.19
Please give me your best estimate, thank you 🙏
are TAR sailors less likely to have sea duty or get deployed? do tar sailors follow a SEA SHORE rotation like normal AD sailors.
can some one shed some light on this topic and enlighten more on this topic.
long story short im an Active Duty IT in the navy. not really enjoying it like i thought i would. i spent 4 years in dry dock in prepping for deployment and that made me lifeless.
this somehow grew intp a newfound agony for deployment because i got too comfortable with my situation with leaving work at a decent time everyday. and i barely lasted a month when we go out to sea.
im certainly almost sure that TAR side is no different. or is it?
To sum it up, i’m claustrophobic and just got on my first ship. I need some kind of advice to help me with that issue. I don’t want to be too vulnerable about it but i’m afraid of how deployments will go. Just need some words of advice or encouragement to keep in mind.
Is it allowed to wear my dress blues at Church? The uniform regs are extremely vague.
He got a rate today at the Career Development Symposium… what do you think he got?
I am pending legal for about a month now due to pushing someone during a heated confrontation. I have DRB coming up. I'm allowed to go home for two weeks for Christmas, and it would be nice to get the quick assist loan to help with travels and the holidays. I'll go to mast after leave.
Would this be disqualifying for the quick assist loan? Or is it only disqualifying for people getting sep'd or that are more at risk?
Thanks for your time
Looking for guidance on how I can formally prove that I rate the Battle “E” Ribbon? I found out I got it from a Facebook post for the ship I was on and I also found it on DVIDS. Problem is my HR wont accept the post alone. I need something more official. But when I use NDAWS to look up unit awards, it’s not on there. Any advice on how I can verify this in my record?
I intended on applying to this years Office of Legislative affairs fellowship. I received a really great first endorsement from my CO. Then I received this second endorsement from my detailer. Is it even worth my time applying now? Is anyone in OLA in here?
So I have 3 NAMs total. 1 EOT from 4 years ago, another one from this summer, and another one in late november. Looking at my profile sheet and my awards data on nsips, only 1 NAM was accounted for which was my EOT 4 years ago.
Am I SOL or can admin do admin magic and help me pass? lol.
Hey yall. Im currently an E3 who used to be an E4 as an A Ganger and I found out a while back I’ll be heading to Great Lakes. My class up date is in May supposedly.
The question is what’s it like to be an E3 fleet returnee at Great Lakes. Liberty restrictions, uniform restrictions, watches, etc. thanks for any info especially if you’ve been there recently as a fleet returnee
Was the Admin/Supply Chief at a small command and this was what me and my LS1 cooked up for the command decoration competition.
Thank you. I have close knowledge of her situation, and knowing how many people showed up for her to lay her to rest truly gives me hope. I’m so glad she wasn’t alone.
Hello all, so currently on deployment I lost my dad and mom to an accident got flown home right then a week later I get told to fly back to 6th fleet.. to say the least I am so freaking depressed right now it’s not even funny I just lost my parents and they want me to switch to deployment mindset and my LPO told me how 5th floor is for the weak today and to basically make my family proud by staying. I’m talking to chaps right now and he seems to want me to speak to our HM1 about how I’m feeling. I honestly love the Navy I don’t want to get kicked out for being suicidal or something which I’m not I just keep thinking of my parents and the people that need me back home. Someone please, can you give any advice.
Hello! I am a DC and unfortunately went needs of the navy, HOWEVER a cool detailer managed to snag me a shore duty billet that is a g fac (general) billet that was originally for an EM. The issue is - no one has any idea what it is or what it entails! The billet is for an NAS so probably the airfield and the title is "Air Operations 3M Tech" if anyone has any idea what this is or has done it pleaaase let me know before I reup.
A chief told me I'd probably be driving the little tractors around and refueling jets but it seemed like they kinda just pulled out of thin air to sound like they know what they're saying.
Hoping someone here has experienced this. I currently have a USAF CAC with USAF certificates on it. I have been told by the flank speed help desk that it is impossible to put Navy certificates on this same CAC so that I can access both my USAF and Navy mail (yes, I have a need). The only problem is I know for a fact there are folks with Navy CACs who were able to add USAF certificates to their CAC so they could access flank speed and Air Force mail as well. So on thinking if you can go one way, you can also go the other way. Then I remembered this involved NMCI, so... Any help greatly appreciated.
If someone has made this work using a USAF CAC, please let me know who to call and what steps to walk them through as the flank speed help desk has no clue about this.
I am an active duty Ensign who completed an enlisted to officer program later in my career. The program requires 8 years of obligated service with three of the years, only have to be on active duty. I also have the ten year obligation as a commissioned officer, which will run concurrent with the program obligation. I am currently at seventeen and a half years, and will be at my current command for 3 years unaccompanied. After completion of this duty station, I will be over 20 years of active duty service. I wanted to get back closer to my family to finish out the obligation so I was inquiring if it was possible to transfer to the reserves after twenty years of active duty service and how that would work? I already meet the requirements for an active duty retirement, and according to all the dfas calculators. I will still start drawing my retirement once my obligation was up. Though it wouldn't be the same as if it was on active duty. I would just get the time that I was on orders in the reserves. Is this correct? Or has someone ever ran into a situation like this?
Additionally, i also understand that there is a sanctuary rule in the reserves at sixteen years, and I was wondering how that would affect me?
Just found out someone I’m going to be working with was grounded and am interested in the backstory.
Hey guys, I already have my BIB sheet but it’s so much material, currently studying every thing, every day using naval apps to study the material. But what are some really good things/good stuff to really study that is for sure going to be on the exam? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I don’t want to fail my first exam. I was OG SN pack and picked up YN3.
Currently doing a cycle comparison that was missed for last cycle how does that work it was approved by NETPDC what happens after that.
Ok so I have a question. I’m trying to break my lease in California. I have received official orders and submitted them on 02DEC (Same day I got them) to my apartment complex. My rent is due on 04 of every month so it was technically before rent was due for the month. Orders are for me to leave on 13DEC. My apartment wants me to pay for December in full (totally fine with, I already paid it), but they also want me to pay for all of January as well? Is that right I know in the SCRA/military clause I have to pay for rent after 30 days of notice which would put it up to January but not actually in January. Am I wrong about this or am I just stupid?
So from my understanding is that you get advancement by choosing new orders, I'm an e4 and have until 2028 until I'm choosing orders again, does that mean I'm stuck as e4 until 2028 and then I can choose orders and become e5
man i need help writing my eval lmfao i just made e5 and i’m struggling
