An Iranian-born research scientist who filed a federal discrimination lawsuit alleging she had been harassed by a University of Alabama at Birmingham co-worker for nine years because of her ethnicity has been awarded more than $3.8 million in damages.
Fariba Moeinpour, 62, said she was thrilled with the jury verdict, which was handed down Tuesday in the Northern District of Alabama, and ready to restart her life.
“Day and night, I was looking for a job, any job, but nobody would hire me because my name was tarnished,” Moeinpour told NBC News. “Now, my good name has been restored.”
UAB, according to the jury verdict, was ordered to pay Moeinpour $3 million in damages.
Mary Jo Cagle, a former UAB data analyst who was identified in the lawsuit as the person who harassed Moeinpour, was ordered to pay her $500,000 in compensatory damages and another $325,000 in punitive damages.
Moeinpour’s lawyer, Eric Artrip, said his client “put up with years of being called all sorts of terrible names.”
For years now... WESH in Orlando has a really bad lip-sync issue when broadcasting network content from NBC, but it's most noticeable with live programming in particular with NFL, Nightly News and SNL. I've tried reaching out to the local engineers (since this is on both their OTA signal and via Spectrum) but was told there was no problem. It's beyond obvious there is a problem... they just don't care. Are other Hearst-owned affiliates this way? I would think the network wouldn't approve.

Has anyone else noticed that Tom Llamas has been in for Lester for like almost a week now? Where is Lester? Could this be a permanent position for Tom?
https://www.nbc.com/watch/paris2024/paralympics-opening-ceremony-world-feed/12006064 and https://stream.nbcolympics.com/paralympics-opening-ceremony-world-feed for web browsers. It also in Apple's NBC Sports (not regular NBC!) apps too! 3.75 hours long. It was awesome and I am not even done (taking a break after its flags of nations). Did anyone else watch the world feed version too? I wonder if they do this live too.
I can't find its Olympics ceremonies though. Maybe they pulled them? The catch is you need a TV subscription provider like Spectrum.
:D
Navigating manually is tedious and confusing to find contents like Paralympics' opening ceremony. :(
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Hello,
Is anyone else having problems playing NBC.com web site's https://www.nbc.com/watch/paris2024/paralympics-opening-ceremony-world-feed/12006064 Paralympics' opening ceremony video onto a HDTV from an 2020 13" Intel MacBook Pro (macOS Ventura)? Video is either black or frozen. I can hear its audio.
Is NBC.com doing copy protection or something with it? I tried Chrome, Firefox, and Safari web browsers. I even tried direct HDMI cable connection and through ATV 4K (2nd gen.). I don't even get an AirPlay option to any ATV 4K with Safari web browser! I have no problems with YouTube.com, DailyMotion.com, etc. Everything is updated. :(
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)
My Theory is Kojak and Blue Bloods exist in the Same Universe just Blue Bloods is a Semi Sequel to it I'm talking about the Original Kojak Show. With Telly Savalas and fun fact it is on the Same Network so it fits into the time line. If you want to stretch it further Henry Reagan might be Kojaks Commissioner in the Show at least at some point In the timeline during either 70's-90's. If anyone has something else to add please let me know.
I loved ER, still watch it. I haven't found many new shows that interest me. I was thinking about all the shows that get streamed. Why not show the pilot episode of NBC's biggest shows. Then promote the streaming sites that the shows are on and continue watching that way. ER is only an example. So many older shows that can be streamed. Cheers, Night Court, the first episodes of SVU, Law & Order.........
Guys! Can somebody please explain to me why 6 episodes in Season 5 of Chicago Med are missing on Peacock?????
Fuck off NBC. And fuck you.
wtf is up with the way they are broadcasting. Every other thing they say is undermining the dems message by doubting their talking points. Now they have some RNC clown spewing lies. What is going on.
Hi! In the NBC Olympics coverage, they did a package on Faith Kipyegon right before one of her races - I believe it was the 1500m final on August 10. They showed her training life at Kaptagat where she lives away from her daughter during the week. They interviewed the coach at Kaptagat (Patrick Sang, I think) and he shared within the camp there is a sign with the definition of community. It is something like "Community - where people come to grow together." I wanted to find exact quote for a speech. I have spent 2 hours scouring internet with no luck. Thanks for your help!
Help finding info from interview from Paris Olympics coverage

Every time there’s election coverage I dread hearing the horrendous music on NBC/MSNBC, not because it’s a bad composition, but because it sounds like someone fed the sheet music into a Casio Pla-Rite™️ keyboard and recorded the MIDI playback. It’s VERY 1997.
NBC is the network of Arturo Toscanini, FFS… so embarrassing!
I just downloaded the USA app and they have the replay of Mondays race finish posted. I was able to use my YouTubeTV subscription to get full access. Looks like I’ll be watching with commercials though…. 🤬
Why is one of the biggest broadcasting giants, NBC, not able to sort this out. Anytime there is a rain delay there is a 50% chance that the race won’t get recorded. NBC has a thousand subsidiaries, USA being one of them, and their broadcast sucks even when it does work. NASCAR on FOX is so much better.
Thank heavens Dale Jr left NBC to join forces with Amazon Prime, where next season a handful of races will be aired. I’m looking forward to seeing how that plays out.
On the other hand, why not just stick to ONE broadcasting network throughout the season - or at least the regular season and another dedicated network for the playoffs. And by network I mean THE EXACT SAME CHANNEL EVERY SUNDAY (and Monday if need be).
NASCAR can’t expect to grow their fan base if they continue to allow networks to operate like this. F1 is a totally different style of racing, never more than 77ish laps give or take, so it’s much shorter… but look at their broadcasts! Always on an ESPN channel and aired without commercials- for the entire race! I’ll always watch an F1 race live because of this. Meanwhile, NBC plugs more commercials than actual dedicated race time (I hate nascar side by side).
rant over
It’s a Sunday morning, midsummer in the U.S.; church has been attended, brunch has been eaten, time to mow the lawn, trim some bushes, clean the bbq and have some baseball on.
Yet, NBC chooses to show a contest halfway around the world, a game very few of us could ever attend with players very few of us can identify with,
Chicago Med, Fire and P.D return Wednesday, September 25th on NBC!
nbcolympics.com no longer has any of the primetime replays available for streaming. In past Olympics, the replays were viewable for months.

NBC evening news tonight had an item about a massive iceberg that broke off Antarctica. Then they proceeded to to report that “icebergs have been breaking off Antarctica for 30 million years normally traveling down iceberg alley” showing a map with a line past Labrador and Newfoundland. Wrong end of the globe guys!
CBS has this. I was wondering if NBC does too. Thank you.
Edit: Or am I supposed to watch local NBC station's news for this, does this cover all the major news?
