Engine 30: Fire on Meyers TV Show Idea

Title: Engine 30: Fire on Meyers

Genre: Drama/Action/Comedy Setting: Engine 30 Fire Station, Detroit’s west side, located on Meyers near Puritan.

Opening Scene

INT. FIREHOUSE – EARLY MORNING

The station buzzes with energy as firefighters prepare for the day. The kitchen is a hub of chaos: half-eaten donuts, loud banter, and an ancient coffee pot struggling to keep up.

SOLOMON ISRAEL (Sol): (to camera, mockingly serious) Welcome to Engine 30, Detroit's finest. We don't slide down poles; we jump into the mess headfirst.

A fire alarm blares. Everyone freezes for a moment, mid-bite or mid-sip.

DREW “DOC” HARRIS: (rolling eyes) And there it is—another day, another house fire. Who left the toaster on this time?

SOLOMON: (grinning) Let’s go, Doc. We ain’t got time for your monologue.

CREW RUSHES OUT TO THE TRUCK

The team jumps into the fire engine. As they speed through the streets, Sol spots familiar landmarks and people waving them on.

SOLOMON: (VO) See, this ain’t Chicago Fire. This is Detroit. Real people, real heat, and real problems. And for me? This is home.

Scene Two: FIRE SCENE

EXT. BURNING HOUSE – WEST SIDE DETROIT – DAY

The house is fully engulfed. Neighbors stand outside, shouting for help.

SOLOMON: (to rookie, AJ) You see this? That’s Mrs. Franklin’s house. She gave me cookies every day after school. Now we’re gonna make sure she gets out alive.

The team moves with precision, but not without humor.

JAMAL “BOSS” THOMPSON: (to Sol, smirking) You talk about cookies one more time, and I’m leaving you in there.

SOLOMON: (laughs, pulling on his mask) You love me too much, Boss.

They kick down the door, smoke billowing out. Inside, Sol spots a frightened woman clutching her dog.

SOLOMON: Mrs. Franklin! I got you. Let’s go!

MRS. FRANKLIN: My cookies are still in the oven!

SOLOMON: (grinning through his mask) Priorities, Mrs. Franklin. Priorities.

They lead her and the dog out. Outside, the crew checks for injuries.

SOLOMON: (to Mrs. Franklin) Next time, just call me for cookies, okay?

The neighborhood applauds as the fire subsides.

Scene Three: BACK AT THE STATION

INT. FIREHOUSE – NIGHT

The team relaxes after the long day. Sol sits at the kitchen table, flipping through a photo album.

DREW: (peering over his shoulder) That you in the bow tie?

SOLOMON: Yeah, man. That’s the old neighborhood. Every address we roll to feels like a memory.

JAMAL: (plopping onto the couch) Well, lucky for you, memories don’t come with smoke inhalation.

Everyone laughs.

SOLOMON: (to camera) This is Engine 30. We laugh, we fight, we run into the fire for the people who need us. It’s personal.

Closing Scene

EXT. FIREHOUSE – NIGHT

The crew looks out over the neighborhood, lights twinkling in the distance.

SOLOMON: (VO) We’re not Chicago. We’re Detroit. And we’re just getting started.

Cue upbeat music. Fade to black.

TITLE CARD: ENGINE 30: FIRE ON MEYERS

Sooo we're not gonna address this?

Last week Capital One failed to deposit paychecks on thousands of accounts across the country, which took days to fix, and upended the lives of so many hard working people, yet there's been NO on air coverage or demand to find out what exactly happened.

Y'all can cover the Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni drama ad nauseum but are just glossing over the fact that a major bank failed its customers and has issued no explanation, nor assurance it'll never happen again? Is this the reality we're going to have to learn to accept? Smfh...

Is it time for the NFL and NBC to find a new performer to open SNF?

Underwood is boring, tired, and now, too political. And politics don't belong in football.

Who would you choose to open SNF?

My vote is for Miley Cyrus!

Sheinelle Jones

Sheinelle Jones has not been on the Today show since right before the holidays. Now, that all the main anchors are back to kick off the new year and Hoda's final week, she is no where to be seen. Very odd & on the 3rd hour all they say is she has the day off. Anyone else noticed?

How to get a copy of a today show segment I was on in 2011?

On March 11th, 2011 I was interviewed on the Today Show. The bookmarked URLs are no longer valid, any idea how I can get a copy of the segment?

Awful Customer Service

I don’t know if this is the proper outlet for this, but I truly do not care because I just need to rant about this. I ordered the Nosferatu blanket from the official NBC store for my girlfriend for Christmas. I ordered it on the 13th and paid for expedited shipping. On their website they stated that the item doesn’t begin shipping until the 19th, with an estimated arrival of between the 21st-24th. Now I was fine with this, I just wanted the blanket in on time for her to bring to the movie on Christmas. When the 19th rolled around, I got no email about the blanket being shipped out. I figured, oh my maybe they just haven’t updated it. I email on the 20th asking for a status on the order, I’d have called, but just like any other bullshit company they decided to throwaway their customer service number in favor of automating that shit. No response. It’s now the 23rd, my order still says “Preparing your order” and they have not responded to my email, as well as my follow up email. Their stupid order status tracker does not work either and will literally just get stuck on the loading screen. I don’t know what to do, I don’t even know what the hell the status of my order is. Beyond that, it screws me over in terms of Christmas presents. I hate NBC, they have dogshit customer service and it’s ridiculous that they have the gall to open up a fucking store when they can’t even communicate with their fucking customers, let alone provide a proper channel to contact them.

A Motown Christmas

Did Halle Bailey mistakenly say that Diana Ross had famously recorded “Santa Baby” when introducing Ashanti on “A Motown Christmas”? It was Eartha Kitt who released this originally in 1953 right?
