I’m having the worst time trying to figure it out. Last time I sang Whatever Lola wants by Sarah Vaughan and White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. I figured two very different genres would work. It was a video submission but I never heard back. This will be my first virtual open call. Does it have to be popular songs? Do they have to be known artists? I have a wide vocal range. If anyone has any advice I’ll take it. Thank you
I’m so excited for JHud, and I REALLY want her back as a full time coach for s28!!!
Thoughts??

Okay - a useless hour-long recap of the show from the night before, followed by some abbreviated edited performances (how unfair to those people!), while at the same time overly dragging out some decision discussion. And generally, a sub par hour with too many commercials as normal.
That was terrible... Is it just us that think so?
I have noticed that battles are either evenly or unevenly matched. For example, Reba seems to pair people up that don't necessarily go together, and will challenge contestants with genres, AND it seems she often puts a weaker singer next to one of the better singers. This I think weeds out the weaker ones faster, but also gives them a chance to rise to a challenge. On the other hand, other coaches seem to pair people up that are either similar in talent or similar in genre. Overall as a viewer, I like it the best when both contestants can realy shine, but I totally see why a coach might use a different strategy. What do y'all think?
If felshmere was on season one how was she able to be on this season?
A little sad about Cozy Len wish he didn’t have to go home but it be sad if felsmere went home again after coming back!
Brad such a sweet man hope he continues music outside of the show him and Jake also a good battle.
Danny and Deon such a good battle one of my favs in this night I can see why Danny won his range is insane. Also, was so cute Deon’s hug to Reba when Gwen stole him.
Jose and Austyns I think my fav battle so far in the season. Both great range I love Jose’s fierceness and personality glad Jose won. Now for Austyns hope he picks a good decision that will take him on top for his steal.
I’ve watched every season of the voice since the beginning but this is the first time I’ve felt the show is completely scripted and pre determined from the beginning. I love Snoop! Being a native So Cal girl, I am so happy how much he has blown up this year. But, it is the first time I’ve seen all the hand holding behind the scenes in his decision making and actually reading scripted reactions on live camera. Really bummed that the magic is gone. I think Snoop was not a good choice for the show. He has revealed the man behind the curtain.
Just joined this sub so don’t hate 😂 Did they do away with Saves this season??
I've watched The Voice on and off for years and I have to say, hands down, this is the best season having Snoop on there! Love him. He's such a great guy and so kind and funny. I'm even a bigger fan now.

Anyone audition this year?? I have 3 times. First time I was rejected in one hour the second In 4 hours but this time it’s been 4 days and no response I tried out with an original song this time too… is this bad? Good? Did they forget about me?? The anxiety is unreal.
How obvious he would go with Edward, but dang, I would have loved to see what more Mark could do. He was so unique.

Really can’t believe he’s 49 — those Canadians are forever youthful. Surprised he went with Edward — just seems stiff and not a story teller. Thoughts?
We needed him.
I always wondered how this works. Can you google it and find tickets on Ticket Master, or is it kept very down low? Has anyone ever been to one?
does anyone find her not very good? the crying is lowkey getting to be too much
The finale is starting very soon so here are my predictions:
KEVIN SHOULD HAVE WON THAT. Adam has an objectively good voice, but man Kevin's rasp was so cool and he was entertaining to watch. I for sure thought someone would steal him everyone was praising him. I hope to hear more from him in the future
Been trying for the last year or so to make it on the voice and would love to hear from those who made it past the open call round and the song you did as well as things you did to stand out and get their attention. I’ve tried 4 times now and I can’t make it past the open calls and keep getting emails within the first hour or hour and a half of a rejection
I mean that’s a lot of gold! 🥹🥹
please anyone can help me I want to watch the voice and I am outside of the us is there any way to watch it for free other than youtube I want the whole episode with the results
Anyone else noticed that Michael Bublé isn’t picking anyone who sings songs right up his alley??
I’ve seen good performances that you would think would catch Michael’s attention instantly, but he chooses not to
Am I the only one who could care less about watching the coaching scenes during the battles? They all say the same shit. Instead they could just show the battles they skipped over.
Usually if an artist is double montaged, it's for a reason right? Or was Torion just really unlucky? It seemed like most of the coaches were pretty unimpressed with his audition, so I guess that's why they montaged it, but why did they have to go and double montage him like that? Was he just completely destroyed in his battle or something? I can't believe that they go through all the trouble to give us backstory on all these failed auditions, but didn't even show a tiny piece of Torion's backstory in either round? It's just so strange the choices they make sometimes, and oh how I wish they posted the full montaged performances somewhere.
Is Frankie in a better situation now since she lost the Battle and Reba stole her? Gwen has only won the show once out of 7 seasons. 2 seasons ago Reba stole Jacquie Roar from Gwen's team and Reba helped Jacquie make it to the Finale while no one from Gwen's team made it. In fact, Gwen hasn't had an artist make the Finale since Carter won.
I personally think Mark Shiiba was a more versatile and unique singer than Edward Preble.
Edward just emulates what he has listened to growing up trying to be Louis Armstrong or Frank Sinatra. He needs to be on a cruise ship… he will never put out an original album people actually buy?
Mark is unique and I wanted to hear how his voice was used during the competition . I was upset no one stole him at the end.
I love snoop, he was very funny and such a nice dude in the initial blind performances. Now watching the battles I dont feel he's giving a lot of advice? Like more performance notes.
To be fair I've missed a lot of the battles in previous seasons so I'm not sure if the seeing of the coaching is limited? I watched Reba and she gave really good feedback. Watching Gwen she also is giving a lot of good feedback for improvement.
