For victorinox knives? I know the steel used for the knives is considered easy to sharpen with, but do you guys have a go to?

I've heard people say any SAK over 3 layers is a pain in the ass to carry and I'm wondering if i should buy a clip in addition to the knife itself. i mostly plan on using it for whittling, does that larger handle make it any harder/easier handling the knife while carving wood? I'd look for a thinner model but pretty much every tool on the ranger is essential for my hobbies.

My grandfather recently passed away. He always had a SAK with him. I was given the one he carried as he died, it was well used as you can see and will be a treasured memory of him. Adding it to my small collection.

Hello everybody! I just got my ever first SAK, minichamp and was wondering about modifying it a bit. I wanted to remove the scales ( dark blue with lake on the back ) and keep them, and remove some of the components on it. But the question I have is what kind of pins does it use? Just 2.5mm or 2.5 and 2.2?

I can't wrap my head around why the main blades of all victorinox / Wenger 130mm models have such an absurdly long ricasso. Can someone please enlighten me?

First time using one of these clips

I have had this SAK for about 25 years. It's been in my drawer for a long time and now I'm interested in a pocket knife for everyday use again. While looking for a replacement ballpoint pen, I noticed that Victorinox no longer makes SAKs with ballpoint pens. Now I'm wondering what model I have and where I can get a replacement refill.

Bonus question: can anyone give me good instructions on how to clean a Victorinox? Over the years some dirt has accumulated.
