I’ve recently been adding a few Wengers to my collection and found something I’ve never heard of. My newest score is a 1990- 2008 Monarch NIB. On the box is a Day-Glo green sticker that has in four languages “Safety Screwdriver”. Does anyone know what makes the screwdriver safer 😀
I did some digging online and I could only find that it’s some kind of certification, this SAK is a Vic Tourist but these scales belonged to a Recruit I believe. This SEV logo is even placed in the same fashion as the Victorinox logo which makes me wonder what’s this about. I don’t think it’s you average Victorinox with some company advertising. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated as I would love to learn more about this. Cheers!
Victorinox Old Cross KL87 DAK
Love my farmers co-op tinker. Probably the SAK I’ve carried the most. Carrying it today instead of my usual cadet. Thinking about a pioneer next.
I have this tool, https://www.victorinox.com/en-BR/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Accessories/Dual-Knife-Sharpener/p/4.3323 and some of the victorinox products, have some of you guys a video or a tutorial of the best way to use it? I cant get a good sharpening out of ir.
I'm looking for a budget knife that I could take apart and replace the SAK blade with. It should have better edge retention than the SAK (which isn't really that difficult) and preferably stainless, but not a requirement. I will probably remove the small pen blade.
I know about the countless Spyderco mods on this sub but I don't want to spend that type of money.
I was doing some end of the year cleaning and put together all my SAKs
Along with a Classic SD. The emergency blade version was found in a bin of TSA knives some guy was selling at a gun show. I always look for logo knives in those bins.
Victorinox Evolution S54 was randomly on sale for like an hour heading into Black Friday. This is my first new delemont/Wenger style knife so I was pretty stoked.
No matter what I've tried, I've never found anything better than the victorinox Farmer to carry, particularly at work.
What Every Parent Needs for the Holiday!
WHT THE FUCK DOES VICTORINOX NOT MAKE THE YEOMAN ANYMORE?!?!?! That is all; thank you for coming to my TED talk.
The Ranger does. The SwissChamp does.
Just curious.
FWIW SakWiki says the only Mountaineer with a chisel is the Mountaineer Lite.
Does anyone have multiple of the same models for different situations?
ie one for lose pocket carry with a short paracord lanyard, one for use with pocket hanger another in an EDC pouch?
All the same model but carried differently.
I love the compact and rather than buy different models for the sake of it might just get another compact or two.
Excited to have found this cool SAK at a consignment shop today.
I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking at, but it felt like a steal for $15 and it had to come home with me.
The Recruit.
Hi all!
It is about time my dad gets his first victorinox for xmas. He loves gardening and growing (and eating) tomatoes, courgettes, eggplants, cauliflowers, etc.
Which model can I get for him that can really be useful?
Is the Budding and Pruning Knife 3 a good idea, has anyone had it?
Thanks!
Do you prefer the older models or current production? Which do you think are better?
