I love Top Gear and on an episode they made about Vietnam where they rode a bike from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Ha (Quang Tri Province) and then a train from Quang Tri to Hanoi, they pronounced Ha Long as Hay Long. I never heard anybody else, foreigner nor Vietnamese, pronounce Ha Long as Hey Long. Only Top Gear.
Funny thing is, I took the train from Ho Chi Minh (where my parents live) to Da Nang and then took a plane from Da Nang to Hanoi and will visit Ha Long tomorrow.
What's more egregious is Jeremy Clarkson loves to pronounce the Prius as the Pry-us even though many Brits pronounce it as Pree-us.
Just watching the classics on YouTube and Ben Collins is driving the car where they try and parachute into it.
Can anyone remember whether we knew it was him by this time or not?
I don't expect this to get many comments because it's only meant to be found by those starching for it. You can actually watch all of Top Gear and it's specials at HD on Amazon's site here

Hope this helps anyone looking for it.
in season 1 episode 5 they make a bond car on a budget of £300 and its awesome but when they introduce a cardboard cutout target as blofeld i end up confused because i dont know who its meant to be, i think its a politician but its before i was born so does anyone here know who their "blofeld" was?
Shaken beef is popular in Vietnam. Pork spring rolls are amazing. Grilled chicken over vermicelli is also great. Why was he so picky?
What do you think is the best car ever tested on top gear and why. Give season and ep if possible
I’m trying to find a Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson was driving a car and made a funny point about his watch. He said something like, “This watch is designed to be worn in space, but I’m never going to space. Still, it feels good to know it can do that.” Then he compared it to the car he was driving, saying it has a ridiculous amount of power that he’ll never actually use, but it’s nice knowing it’s there.
Does anyone remember which episode this was? It’s been stuck in my head!
Found out that the Grand tour had a promotion with Waze and now I'm curious if the old gps would work in CA? Don't know if they can receive updates but any information is appreciated. Thank you
He would play for Liverpool, because they play on an field.
I’ll see myself out.
They have been rerunning some of these episodes on BBC Three. Forgot how good they are, proper good tele! Had a good laugh at LeBlanc and The Stig in the 'Trac-tor'.
