My current gearing ratio on my electric drift trike allows me to get 51mph out of the 72v 3000w motor (cheap vevor bldc) I have powering it, but its puts noticeable stress on the motor while it's getting up to speed. I dont want to change the gear ratio, because I don't want to lose any mph, but I want to put less stress on the motor.
So here is my idea, and I need to know if this is a good idea or not. Essentially, instead of changing the gearing, I would add a medium sized gear in between the small gear and big gear.
Would this reduce strain on the motor while allowing me to maintain my 51mph top speed?
Anyone ever build one of these and have a list of parts needed? I want to build one and don't want to reinvent the "wheel". Need a winter project when it's too cold to go outside. Ultimately I'd like to build a Green Machine with a motor but need to start with a Big Wheel first.
I am wondering if anyone can help please,
I ordered and paid for some items from Madazz Trikes on the 10th of September, other than the receipt for payment I have had no contact from them at all,
I have sent an email to both the addresses I found and also used their website contact page but so far absolutely nothing,
I have no issue if there is going to be a wait or delay for the items,, but I'd just prefer to be kept in the loop if there is an issue fulfilling the order etc,
I have paid by credit card so I know my money is safe if I need to go in that direction but I'd prefer not to, I'd love to get the awesome parts that they advertise and that I ordered,
Thanks in advance for reading and helping if anyone is able to,
Thanks
What size sprocket and chain should I buy? I have a 212cc predator engine.
What is the best way to get a sprawled out foot placement on an electric Razor DXT, I know on crotch rockets we call them rear sets, but I think it would be referred to as pegs.
Anyone know better pvc for drift sleeves? The extras that came with the drift trikes I bought seem to wear pretty quick 10inch diameter
I love them but they are difficult to fit in the back of our car.
I wanna get a drift trike, electric, anyone have any good reccs for a preassembled one?
The kids and I managed to get this thing running before school started. It’s a Vevor 2000watt motor, Cmax battery for power supply, EBay axel kit, and EBay plastic wheel covers. As a bonus we did reverse with the brake lever. Unfortunately I can only post one video or pic.
Got no experience in welding or anything
FIIK Drifter original design usually goes for around $3000 USD.
This has a 48V 1000W hub motor with 10AH battery.
Top speed of 25mph (40kmph)
Making my first drift trike, haven't got slicks on yet, tested it out today and it will not turn at all.
There is a lot of weight on the rear, and I'm still waiting on the pvc to turn up.
The trike wouldn't turn at all, when I turned the BMX handlebars, the trike just pushed forwards.
Do i need to change the rake angle, or would just adding the pvc slicks, sort the issue?
I need front wheel with pedals But I don't want them to spin while driving, When I pedal, I want the wheel to move, but when I stop, I want me to keep going but the pedals don't spin Idk if you know what I mean
