What’s up guys it’s me again , I was wondering if anyone had any experience in finding employment in motorsports without an engineering degree of some sort. I’ve been checking open opportunities for teams and for circuits across the country with very little success. Either it’s an engineering position that requires 10+ years of experience or a pit crew/ ticketing/ maintenance/ food stand position that was posted 30+ days ago from which I never hear back from after applying.
Do people usually start out volunteering until a chance to find employment arises? I don’t really have any preference for position I just wanna work around motorsports. I know SOME software engineering / computer science but not enough to handle myself on a job. Full hate welcome lol.
I might be putting a car on display at Autosport in Jan at the NEC, and wondering if anyone can recommend a trailer friendly hotel nearby? It'll be a transit with a Brian James Race Shuttle,
Pic taken from WGP1 website.
Anyway, I've watched MotoGP and F1 on occasions for funsies. I'm not like a full fledge enthusiast by any means.
I've been looking into something else and found UIM and WGP#1 doing Jet Ski races, Boat races, etc but it's a tiny community compared to other motorsports. How come?? The premise is pretty much the same as car/motorcycle racing from what I understand.
Project.
I’m currently studying mechanical engineering in community college about to transfer to university.
I’m in Mississippi, which doesn’t have a large racing scene. I’m trying to find the best ways to get experience with teams of any kind of Motorsport to help get connections and, the ultimate goal, work in motorsports once I get my degree.
I currently do SCCA autocross with my local region and want to invest myself into anything I can. Any experience is good experience.
Can anyone offer advice or any help on what my next steps should be?
it's called down to the tyre and it's all about motorsport outside of formula 1
i've recently interviewed drivers like dom shore, henry howarth, and chloe grant

Hi guys
My name is Thomas and I’m a future automotive technician. I’m currently preparing a presentation about the adaptation made to race cars to make disabled driver race and I would love some help from the community 😁 If you have any information about it or any technical insight I would love to have additional sources of information for the project
Thanks !
Hey fellow motorsport fans! I wanted to share a passion project I've been working on that combines our love for racing with digital collecting. It's called PitDeck - think of it as a digital card album for motorsport moments.
I'm building this because I love both motorsport and collecting, and wanted to create something that brings both worlds together. The goal is to make race weekends even more exciting by letting fans hunt for special cards at the actual events.
Some Special Packs We're Planning:
What racing moments would you want to see immortalized as collectible cards? I'm particularly interested in hearing about historic moments from different series that deserve to be featured!
Note: This is a fan project in alpha stage, built by a motorsport enthusiast for the community. Not affiliated with any racing series. All feedback and suggestions are welcome!
Edit: Thanks for all the amazing suggestions! I'm taking notes of all the historic moments you're mentioning. Keep them coming!
so i was wondering, one of the few driver who had this way of success was Keiichi Tsuchiya where he went from a street racer racing in the mountains at japan to become a full time JGTC driver, but thats a national career, although he made a few appearances in le mans, it's not like he race full time outside Japan, since money has always been the problem in racing where you really need a huge amount of money to have an actual career, stories like Keiichi, Hamilton, Ocon has made me curious about people having their unorthodox way to jump on the ladder
Hello guys! I recently bought a new camcorder for recording my rally videos, Today was the first time I got a chance to use it and a lot of my clips the only thing you can really hear is the WIND and obviously that is not ideal when recording rally cars, I would love some recommendations on a microphone or even types of microphones, I'm new to all of this so the only thing I would be asking for is something that blocks out the wind and that can pick cars up from far away. the camera is a SONY FDR-AX33, Thanks for reading and thanks you even more if you put a recommendation.
Big day for Belgian Motorsport. In Japan, Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe became the first Belgians ever to win the WRC.
A few hours later Max Verstappen (who was born in Belgium and has a Belgian mother, so has a lot of connections to our little country) claimed his 4th formula 1 world title.m after the Vegas GP.
Fun fact: even though Neuville won his title a few hours before Verstappen, Neuville won his title on Sunday, while Verstappen won his on Saturday.
Hi guys, Im just watching for the first time DTM 2018 season and it’s really good, awesome racing, no one dominating, diffrent strategies working and in hindsight one of the best grids in terms of drivers (most are factory pro drivers now). Do you know other great seasons of any motorsport like that? Let me know
Useful site to help you decide if the race or quali replay is worth watching or not

It just launched so hopefully it will gain more traction, but the F1 events are user rated pretty soon after completion by users and the AI. Other sports not so much yet.
