Hey guys. I recently installed new master/slave cylinders and started hearing a weird binding sound when pushing the clutch pedal. I found that my slave cylinder push rod is not always seated against the fork pocket. It appeared to be fine when I bled the system.
Is this a pedal adjustment problem? Or do I need to bleed this some more?
I have tried adjusting the pedal a bit, but I don't have much further I can push the master cylinder rod in. I have switched to all braided lines, and removed the clutch damper. All this went in after installing a JWT clutch and flywheel.
Thanks for the help!
hey guys i can’t find a single video of anyone drilling into a convertible 350z trunk and i know it’s different from the coupe so im just wondering if anyone has any experience or tips with this so i don’t mess up the convertible top
I know this sub, so i’m not telling why lollll and please don’t tell me not to, it’s my car thanks in advance:)
Hi all,
My 03 350z with 150,000km/93k miles seems to be consuming about 1 quart per 500km (around 310 miles). This seems to be significantly more than anyone else I’ve seen online.
I also am aware I have leaking valve covers. I can see it looks a little wet and oily around the outside of the block where the covers sits - and the car also fouled a plug from oil leaking into the wells (that was over 5000km ago, misfire hasn’t returned yet. A few of the plugs were wet).
I believe it also has a slight rear main seal leak.
So I don’t know how much is being burned vs how much is just leaking out (I am guessing majority is being burned).
It blows a bit of blue smoke, usually if I let the car sit idle or turn it off/start it again after a while (it seems to need a bit of hard acceleration and redlining to clear it out). But it also blows a small amount of smoke if I just rev it to 4k in neutral.
I am thinking that means both the valve stem seals AND piston rings might need replacing.
My questions - is it worth just replacing the valve stem seals and valve cover gaskets? Or I’m better to go all in and plan to rebuild or swap the engine?
I’m also concerned that burning this much oil is gonna kill the cats - which I’ve heard can have a snowball effect on the piston ring/cylinder wear. Is it going to damage other parts too?
Wanting to paint my 350z door control trim as I used a rag that I previously used with acetone on it and stripped some of the matt paint. I've noticed the paint has a rubber like texture, anyone know what type of paint this is?
Hello guys. I’ve got a 05 350z that’s having low pressure light occasionally when idling after bringing my car for service. Was using 10W-30 previously and current mechanic swapped it to 5w-30 and the light started coming up occasionally when idling.
I’ve searched up on previous threads as well and most suggested gasket. I’ve gotten my head gasket replaced about 2 months back. Could this be a sensor problem or oil pump failing?
Would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance.
This will be my 2nd and only car for college, and I know that the 350Z is an old car. What would most likely happen if I were to own it? My other safe and more responsible option is getting a 2014 Civic.
Shine auto rear bumper came out amazing 👌
I’ve owned my 350z for a while now and i love it but haven’t modded it much, it came with a z1 duel exhaust but i want something else . In your personal opinion, what is a good sounding exhaust? 🤔
Just replaced axels on the car, it was driving completely quite besides welded diff noises. I went up a pretty steep entrance to a parking lot(car is pretty low) scraped the rear but only bumper, now the car makes this noise when only turning right and on slight bumps, when I turn left it’s completely quite
I noticed coolant on top of my radiator fans for like the last week only . Just a small amount but still noticeable. I’m pretty sure my mishimoto radiator cap is where the leak is … I’ll check tomorrow if it’s the actual radiator tho . Should I just buy a new one ?

Hi everyone, I was wondering why my seat wiggles back n forth, I noticed while driving and tightened my seat bolts, didn't end up helping. Any ideas? I have a base 07 with OEM leather seats installed. Thanks!
Does anyone know how I could create a false floor like how this guy has where the spare tire goes so I can slide a sub box under ??
Lost her today when I got rear ended by a texting driver and it was enough to total it. Long live Zeus
I have a 03’ performance, but I can’t figure out what cd it has. It was made in june.
Currently have a stage 4 clutch with lightweight flywheel at the end of its life span, looking for a more comfortable clutch kit. Just for daily driven with the occasional highway pull. 2004 350z 6speed.
It's been driving me nuts. Mechanic couldn't figure out. Only happens when starting in first.
