Hi y’all! Friend of mine is trying to find the name/ingredients of a dressing they had & loved while here in 2020. He said it came on a plate with rice & beef, described it as spicy and refreshing, & containing red pepper flakes. Any folks who worked/work there know what’s being described?
Not sure how much it really looks like us, but it was cool to do nonetheless.
Sorry about the sad news, I just learned that Fern the sheep at Rafikis Planet Watch passed away last week. She was our favorite animal to visit :(
Hi everyone! I am visiting Animal Kingdom with my baby very soon. I saw this Silhouette souvenir and I was wondering if there is a stand in there too. I saw there is one at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT! TIA.
My partner and I are big Hyena fans and we want to make certain we have the chance to see these buddies. Is Kilamanjaro Safari the best (only?) way to see them?
Going to Orlando for a work trip next week. Conference is over around 12 on Thursday and my flight isn't until 9 so I wanted to hit Animal Kingdom as I haven't been since I was young. I'm going solo, so I know that will help with some wait times.
What's the best route I should take in the park to get to the most attractions? Also what is worth skipping? I know I'm limited on time so trying to be efficient with what I have. Any advice is welcome!
Hello! I have been planning a last-minute Disney World trip, & have been able to get a lot of reservations that I didn't expect that are of high demand despite it being so close to our arrival. The only exception has been Yak & Yeti. There has been zero available reservations available, which I find odd since I was able to get restaurants of higher demand without any problems.
I wondered if Yak & Yeti is closed during January for refurbishment? Or is it booked up? Silly question, I know - But I just wanted to see if there was any point in keeping on checking for reservations if it is going to be closed during that time.
Thanks :)
I had a cocktail at Victoria falls lounge at the AKL called the “Fathers day manhattan”. Does anybody know this recipe? The cast members name was Joe, who made it for me. Any help would be great
Hey all, I have never went to disneyworld parks before but have a trip planned soon, my group wanted to try to get a near-sunset timing when we ride Kilimajaro Safaris but I see the ride closes at 4:45 for the day we are there. Does this mean that at 4:45 they will close the entrance or do they stop sending out rides at 4:45?? Should we try to get to the ride earlier more like 4:30 to ensure we can get on the ride? I am trying to convince my group going on park opening will be better either way lol. This is the main attraction we are interested in for the day for this park specifically
Is it worth getting there when the park open and immediately going to pandora? Will the lines be shorter in the morning, or will everyone else be doing the same thing? Is it better off starting in Africa for the safari?
I recently went to Disney World and bought a plant in animal kingdom in the Avatar area and it just died on me and I desperately want to replace it. Is anyone going there soon? I would be willing to pay you to purchase the plant and ship it to me
My wife and I are planning a trip for Animal Kingdom soon and I want to book an animal experience for her. The problem is the vests seem restrictive for "some body types". She has a rather large chest (E-cups) and I don't know if it's a good idea to book it.
What do yall think?
Can anybody tell me the gate prices for animal kingdom please?
I don't regularly visit amusement parks, and would really appreciate some advice from those of you who do.
I invited 2 family members, one of whom is a senior with some health issues, to Animal Kingdom on Wednesday, May 17th. I was hoping to arrive alone when the park opens, ride a few rollercoasters, and meet them at the gate around noon for something more relaxed. On my own, I was hoping to ride flight of passage, Everest, and the river rapids. They are interested in the Navi river journey and Kilimanjaro Safaris (possibly more than once, if the lines are short and time allows it). Do you think this plan is reasonable for the date and time? Should I expect the river ride and the safari to have long wait times (to the point of getting a genie pass)? I don't want them to spend too much time standing in the heat.
Are there any nice sit-down cafes with AC that serve more than typical fast food? I did some googling, and Tiffins/the Navi Cafe look promising. Should I reserve these in advance? Is there any chance of getting a table at walk-in if we decide to keep things casual and unscheduled? If not, how would you suggest handling reservations to ensure we can still go on the rides?
Lastly, do any of you regulars recommend more relaxed activities around the park that are not rides? I'm thinking of animal viewing locations, scenic sitting areas, etc. that are farther away from noise and activity.
I'd really appreciate any and all advice :)
My Roommate and I are debating about which path is faster from Flight of Passage to Expedition Everest, which is faster? Opinions? Or would someone like to go out and time this themselves?
Can someone tell me what candles smell like the ocean of avatar flight of passage ? I really like it
Hi guys. The cost savings of renting DVC points for resort stays is super tempting, but it feels super risky if we have to cancel.
Has anyone rented DVC with 3rd party rental travel insurance for backup?
Looking for good outcomes and horror stories when you ended up having to cancel.
Thanks 😊

My husband and I are going to Animal Kingdom on May 1st for our anniversary. (We are also staying in a treehouse in St Cloud!!) No children, but we basically are big kids. We haven’t to AK together been since 2018. I went a couple years ago with my mom. Husband has never seen Pandora at night or been on Flight of Passage.
We’re getting very excited! What are your favorite parts of Animal Kingdom? Major/obvious stuff like rides, restaurants and particular food / drinks, and minor, “off the beaten path” stuff? Any tips and tricks you’d like to share would be awesome too. 😊
I would like to hit the safari first thing, then maybe Pandora, having lunch at Tiffins at 2, then bumbling around doing whatever like Everest and Lion King show until we get in like for FOP at 6:50 as the park closes at 7. (So I assume no Tree of Life show.) And I can’t wait to get a chai tea at Joffreys. I think that’s in Asia?
Thanks 😊 🦒 🦓 🦔
Hi everybody, first time poster here. I visited Animal Kingdom today with my family, and while in Pandora we went to the merchandise shop. I was looking at the Na’vi Translator Cards and I found one single pack that appeared to be “foil”. Has anyone else found something similar or was it just a misprint? Thanks in advance. (Foil effect is hard to capture in a picture, but is very noticeable in person)
My family and I (4 yo, 9 yo, mom, and dad) are visiting AK next Monday. We are staying at the AK resort and plan to rope drop. My wife wants to do the safari first, but I wonder if we are missing a chance to do Everest or other rides with no wait times. We are skipping Genie+. Any suggestions, tips, and pointers?
