So after going on a few rides my family decided to tour the nations walk thing and oh my god help me, it’s just store after store after store. Like, come pay $180 to come shop. Is there anything i’m missing if i skip the nation’s thing? So far only China has been really cool to look at.
Edit: damn the feijoada is the best food i’ve had today!
For more information check my recent post about this update.
Does anyone know where I can find the instrumental music that pays during Canada: Far and Wide, or if the song even has an official title?? I love the music that plays when they're showing us around the country. I'm not entirely sure if I used the correct flair as there's nothing for "world showcase/exhibit music" lol
Thanks!
A hole of dirt is left in the pavement, with a circle of plywood panels around it. Orange cones connected by caution tape sit on the panels. Closer to the main entrance, old piles of dirt have mostly been removed and flattened. There is some new scaffolding under the exterior track on the left. According to concept art (at the end of this article), a new overhang will be constructed to replace the canopy.
To begin with this topic I will give a brief history lesson on the Wonders of Life Pavilion and Play! Pavilion. The Wonders of Life had some problems from the start. When the Park Opened in 1982 it was delayed several years due to Disney couldn't find a sponsor. EPCOT Center ran on a sponsorship model where sponsors upfront the cost of construction and maintenance and upkeep of the pavilion. They usually had a 10 year contract and then they can reneoshiate. In 1988 Disney finally found a sponsor, MetLife Insurance. A year later the pavilion opened seven years after EPCOT Center opened. Inside the golden dome there was many attractions like a show called "Goofy about Health"; The shows was about Goofy decides to banish his bad habits. He gives up smoking, takes up all sorts of sports, and winds up happier and healthier. They had two highlight attractions. Firstly was "Body Wars". It was a Star Tours type simulator attraction where you enter into a white blood cell. And Cranium Command. Where you enter with a recruit named Buzzy to control a 12 Year Olds Brain. But like many EPCOT Attractions on the Sponsorship model the sponsor pulled out after their contract expired. In 2001 MetLife Pulled out and the Wonders of Life Pavilion was closed for a few weeks to remove any references to the former sponsor. The Wonders of life Pavilion remained sponsorless and under seasonal operation till New Years Day 2007 when it was closed permanently. It would not remain empty for long as it would reopen for Seasonal events like the Flower and Garden or Food and Wine Festival.
In 2018 a Announcement was made about the future of the Wonders of Life Pavilion. It was called “PLAY! Pavilion”. It was slated to have the following attractions: Animation Academy (Play with Edna Mode with uninspired style), Hotel Heist (A Interactive game hosted by Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps), Arcade, Monorail Mark X and A unname attraction where you throw water balloons with Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby from Ducktales. Another potential addition was a permanent way to meet your Favorite Disney Pals.
When The 2020 Lockdowns happened the project was put on hold. Nobody heard anything about the project until projection mapping was spotted inside the pavilion which matched the concept art. The roof had many issues and needed constant repairs. Supposedly internally the project was canceled and the inside was gutted once again. Supposedly according to many sources, everything was gutted except the Body Wars simulator pits. Park Operations does not want the simulator pits go due to storage go to waste.
Even though it's supposedly cancelled the Play Pavillion lives on due to the flags at the entrance still having the logo of the Play! Pavillion.
I had a strange dream last night get your tissues ready so the dream started in may 1999 Epcot. I had just visited the Wonders of life pavilion and wanted to visit the "NEW" Test Track but it was down Again…. So I then spotted Horizons it had been closed for a few months all it's signage was still up but it was roped off a sign told us that Imagineering was creating an "New discovery" and rumors were about the planned Space Pavalion that had been planned since the 1980s then I jumped over the rope and walked around looking for an unlocked door then I saw a open door that was once the V.I.P lounge entrance I entered the lobby was the same as it was in 1982 with the GE Logos removed a poster revealed that AT&T who sponsored Spaceship earth used the lounge as an temporary lounge while Spaceship earth was being renovated in 1994 I walked into the Queue area I could hear the futureport music playing in my mind with Guests waiting to ride I returned to the ride and walked around it everything was as it was in when it closed in January 1999 the audio animatronics were frozen in Place there costumes were removed but the ride was the same as it was in 1983 I decided to snag some some things for preservation this included old GE era pamphlets and documents a few ride documents including a post 1995 SOP cassette tapes with the audio tracks ride film reels from the projectors when I entered Art Deco aka "Easy Living" I went around taking photos including the naked bathtub lady and her tv I could hear there's a great big beautiful tomorrow playing in my mind when I turned I saw the ride operating with Guests riding I blinked the ride was closed I walked all around the ride including backstage areas then I left it was dark as I turned to face the front of the building it was being demolished I cried and said "Goodbye old friend" then I woke up crying as I never got to visit Epcot center and ride Horizons visit the living seas wonders of life meet the dreamfinder and figment Epcot is now full of Stupid IP based attractions if Disney had not messed up Epcot and kept the dream of 1980s Epcot

I just visited Epcot yesterday for the first time in almost 20 years and loved it. However, I think the merch was mostly weak sauce. Most of the shirts and pins had characters on everything, which comes off as a little tacky, in my opinion. I would love it if they had more retro, vintage-inspired designs that reflect the older aesthetic and history of the park. It seems the company vastly underestimates the nostalgia factor based around the original logotype, ride symbols, and architecture itself. Plenty of nostalgic millennials and Gen xers would buy it up, If it were available.
Pls help
hello!! going to epcot next week and i’m looking for the purple tie dye shirt of figment with epcot center text below. the shirt is usually located in the gift shop of the ride. does anyone know if they still carry the shirt, i haven’t been in a few years and want it!! thanks :)
I was recently at Epcot and had a juniper pilsner at the Norway beer cart. It was phenomenal and I should have asked for the name. I tried googling and seemed to find two possibilities but want to be sure before going on a hunt for this beer. If anyone remembers, or is there and can look/ask, you'd be a real homie.
Broader question, is there any resource that shows what beers are currently available? I had a few other beers that I enjoyed I'd like to try to get, but can't remember their exact names or even style (I had a lot of beers, haha). The only resources I've found are either dated, or only show that authors favorites from each country.
Thanks!

Why does the boat transportion within the lake in Epcot only have two stops now when it used to have four? Will it change back to more stops anytime soon?
