Located in Epcot Computer Central in Epcot, Astuter Computer was a show that displayed some of the computer systems that controlled Epcot, and eductaed guests in how computers worked. The show was short lived and operated from October 1 1982 to Janaury 2 1984. It was replaced by a new show called Backstage Magic. (From WDW Magic)
Though y’all might want to see some vintage figment.
Obviously, there’s some remnants like the planter, the mold of the spacecraft in Mesa Verde, there is a great big beautiful tomorrow in act one of carousel progress, and the parts of the animatronics under Carousel of Progress! I am just wondering, is there any other remnants? Comment below!
My idea for an Epcot 3.0 is that it would envision life in the 22nd century, where classic attractions such as Horizons and Universe of Energy are brought back but would be updated to give guests a vision of the next century. What do you think?
Hi all,
Luminous: The Symphony of Us (Music from the EPCOT Nighttime Spectacular), is out on streaming. It looks like it's some of the songs, at least.
I checked apple music and Spotify.
Have fun.
I tried
Hello all! I'm a frequent out-of-state Disney visitor, This Saturday is my birthday, and I've convinced my boyfriend to come with me just for the day. Our flight lands at 10:45a, so I'm really only banking on having 8 or so hours in EPCOT, worse-case. He hasn't been to EPCOT, and its my favorite park! My top 3 rides I want him to ride are Test Track, Remy's and Guardians. But if we could realistically do all rides in one day, then why not throw Frozen in there. We aren't particularly huge fans of Frozen, but I have loved the ride since it was Maelstrom.
Here comes my question: If this were you, would you get Genie+ to make sure you could get a LL for some of those longer waits? I know there aren't many longer waits, but if they all happen to creep up to an hour, and Guardians takes about an hour, that's over half of our park time gone. I'm thinking if the first one I book is Remy, It'll be 11:00a by the time I'm able to secure the second one, and it seems like Frozen and TT are similarly far out at about 5:00p at the time of posting (10am EST). But then, I run the risk of Frozen times running out and I really don't want to wait longer than necessary in my least favorite queue.
Guardians VQ question: Since we wont be in the park until later, is it worth it to try to join the first Guardians VQ drop? I'd just hate for it to be the one time I wasn't assigned a late afternoon boarding group. I'd also hate to get to the park after 1:00p and miss that drop. I'm open to purchasing an ILL, but that can add up if I'm buying Genie+ as well. I've had luck in the past with the Guardians CMs being lenient on the times, but I don't rely on it as it is likely case-by-case and who knows if I'm going to be a few minutes late or a few hours.
I just want to have the most magical Disney birthday! Thanks in advance, guys.
TL;DR You have 8 hours in EPCOT on Saturday May the 4th. Are you buying Genie+? You land at 10:45a do you join the first drop for Guardians?
I'm desperate for help! I am throwing an EPCOT themed party and I'm hoping to offer some "drinks from around the world". I'd love to offer beer and wine classically found at EPCOT. Does anyone know of brands to look for at US liquor/wine stores? I'd also love any mixed drink recipes inspired by EPCOT beverages. These are big Disney fans I'm hosting so they'd appreciate the homage to EPCOT. I am in Michigan if that's any help.
I saw someone talk about this song and post a link but I can't find it now
Hello all, I wanted the share my experience of my first time riding on the orange team. This was on April 24th so technically yesterday. I was nervous but confident at the same time as I have ridden on the green team a few times before, even though I knew orange was a lot more intense. I was lucky though that the other 3 people in front of me as well on my row/team were very friendly and quite funny, that made me a lot less nervous. We get to the pod and the ride starts. We all were super happy and had a great time! I definitely had a great experience and would definitely ride it again!
Did visiting Epcot contribute to your love of traveling the world and experiencing other countries and cultures? If so, can you share how?
I just visited Epcot for the first time with my family, and I found it to be boring. It seems like it doesn't really have a coherent theme and the few rides are slow and dated. My mom said that parts of it essentially haven't been updated since she first visited when it opened. Epcot fans, what do you like about it? Considering the cost of admission, why choose Epcot instead of almost any place else in Orlando?
Heading back to my favorite place on earth in May. Its a much needed break at the end of a long painful year. My new favorite thing to do is snack around the world. Flower and Garden usually treats me pretty good too! My question is what drinks and snacks should I try this year?
No sit down restaurants as we don't have time for reservations! Lol but kiosks and quick serve would be great. What are your personal must try, do not miss noms from around the world and what did you find not worth the hype?
Bonus snacks for Magic Kingdom as well be hitting am after hours event as well and I would like to grab some snacks before they all shut down for the night.
Anyone else miss Futurecorps?
And wonder if any of the Jammitors might be Futurecorps alumni?
A post from yesterday inspired me to post this picture I took when I was working security at Epcot 8 years ago. The theater is completely dark.
