Crews have installed supports for the new Test Track entrance overhang at EPCOT. The ground directly in front of the building is still largely exposed dirt. The dirt has been cleaned up some and now scaffolding is in front of the main entrance. As well the sign is removed! Six new v-shaped support structures have been installed on concrete blocks in front of the entrance. These will support the new overhang, which will curve out from below the exterior track. Dark tarps hang over parts of the scaffolding. They reach several feet above the construction walls.
The new Spaceship Earth lounge at EPCOT will open in the first half of 2025. Disney stated the lounge will open right before the summer of 2025. The lounge takes over the former Siemens corporate lounge space attached to Spaceship Earth, overlooking World Celebration. The lounge will feature geometric shapes inspired by Spaceship Earth as well as rich textures and warm metallic tones. It draws from the stories, shapes, and enduring legacy of the icon. Disney previously described it as a “zen space for families to gather and enjoy refreshments.”
While Josh Gad was visiting Walt Disney World as a celebrity narrator for the 2024 Candlelight Processional at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, he spoke for Disney fans everywhere with his social media posting: Journey Into Imagination With Figment is not an attraction worthy of the park’s mascot, Figment. He said the following on his instagram: “Hey @waltdisneyimagineering 📞 me. We need to give this guy the ride update he deserves. 🙏”.
I'm going to Epcot this weekend with our toddler and baby for a birthday celebration. Any tips or advice for making the best of it for my toddler? There will be 4 adults and the 2 kiddos. We don't expect to go on a lot of the rides but definitely hoping to hit the frozen ride and the ratatouille ride. And our toddler will love meeting any characters she can!
I recently learned that Peter Quill ( aka Star lord ) is meeting at Epcot. Apparently he has been meeting at Epcot since September 29th this year. so if it is true comment down below ( by the way i will be going the second weekend of December).
Disney has decked the (CommuniCore) Hall with festive decor for the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.
Gingerbread Spaceship Earth: Gingerbread Spaceship Earth is eight feet tall and took the pastry team more than 160 hours to craft. The creation was made using:
At the nearby Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow holiday kitchen, guests can purchase a Spaceship Earth tile gingerbread triangle just like the ones used to make this edible version of the EPCOT park icon. Almost 1,000 triangles make up the geodesic sphere. There are 11 hidden Mickeys, each representing one of the World Showcase pavilions. After a Celebration Countdown, presented by CITIZEN, the gingerbread Spaceship Earth lights up with a small show set to music much like the real Spaceship Earth does at night. The show is presented every 10 minutes.
Glittering Grove: Sponsored by Balsam Hill, Glittering Grove is “an enchanting forest of twinkling trees” inside CommuniCore Hall. Balsam Hill is a company that sells realistic-looking artificial trees and other holiday decor. They’ve sponsored the Glittering Grove which is comprised of their trees.
CommuniCore Hall Decorations: As with the Food & Wine Festival, the Hall also serves as a pop-up shop with festival merchandise and Scentsy products. Even the tables got a little decoration, with round tables covered in a snowflake pattern, and square tables sporting a repeating pattern of snowflakes, presents, and more!
So for those that are curious about the new Figment Sweater, there is no hoodie part. It's just a normal sweater, just like how it's based off from the Figment Animatronic.
A new human-sized Figment Holiday sweater is now available at Walt Disney World for the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Figment Holiday Sweater is $74.99! Just like the one Figment wears on Journey Into Imagination with Figment, this quarter zip sweater features the Imagination! pavilion logo in the center, with an all-over white fair isle-style pattern of white snowflakes. The sleeves and hem are white. It can currently be found in Creation Shop in World Celebration!
Disney is almost ready for the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays — in fact, they opened the Festival Favorites Holiday Kitchen early. The rest of the park is decked out with decorations, signage, and booths for the rest of the Holiday Kitchens and Holiday Storytellers. The Odyssey Pavilion, located on the edge of the lagoon in World Discovery, will host the Santa Claus meet and greet and Holiday Hearth Desserts Holiday Kitchen. Holiday Hearth Desserts will serve:
Red Velvet Mini Bundt Cake with cream cheese icing
Salted Caramel Spaceship Earth Cookie
Mouse Crunch made with Red & Green M&M’S Milk

Looks like a screen or something, but I can’t tell what’s on it (inside WoL)
A few days before the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays begins, Disney has installed the sign at the park’s entrance. In the flowerbed right after the entrance gates, guests will now see cutout decorations and the Festival of the Holidays sign. They are surrounded by red flowers, including three towers of flowers right behind the sign. The decorations include images of candles, lanterns, and food, representing some of the world’s holiday traditions. The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs from November 29 through December 30, 2024.
On my recent visit, I decided to hit my favorite ride a second time to experience it at night. Big mistake. Five middle aged women boarded my boat and they were all wearing drinking around the world sweatshirts. Oh, and they were also loud as fuck. I knew I was in for some trouble immediately after the boat launched but man, it was worse than I could’ve ever imagined. They were basically yelling to each other the whole time and cackling like witches. I couldn’t even hear the pre-recorded voice coming out of the speaker most of the time. Then, at the very end of the ride, the guy behind me who was equally exasperated turned to them and said “THANK YOU FOR RUINING THE RIDE FOR EVERYONE! SO DISRESPECTFUL!” And the women just froze with no reply. I wish he said something like one minute in, but regardless of his timing, it definitely needed be said. People are so rude, it blows my mind. For how much we all pay to go to Disney, only to have it ruined by some selfish hags… truly sad. I think Disney staff should be intervening in situations like this. Thoughts?
I’ve recently become really interested in spaceship earth’s history and have been scouring videos to get the feel of the old ride. One part that interests me is the old ending from 1994-2007. Can anyone describe how it worked? Were the dioramas composed of stationary figures or animatronics? How did they get the transparent effect on the scenes and light them up? I’ve also heard that the sets are possibly still there and just covered now. Can anyone confirm this? Also if anyone knows of good quality pictures of this ending scene I am very interested!! Sorry for so many questions, I’m just so curious of what this part was like as it was changed before I was born.
I think a lot about this. Since the visuals are game engine effects anyway, I think it would be cool to see Disney IP on Soarin. Maybe on special occasion or maybe mixed into what they have. Imagine soarin over:
Agrobah Wakanda Pride Rock Mowgli’s jungle NYC with Spider Man swinging at you from Avengers Tower.
The Disney Castles where you can get a shot of characters.
Visuals from Coco, Mulan, Encanto or Moana
You could do Star Wars worlds in May
Indiana Jones riding a horse out of the Amazon or Egypt.
I’m going to be in Epcot in a few weeks. Candlelight Processional Dinner package for Titus Burgess. I can’t wait.
So after going on a few rides my family decided to tour the nations walk thing and oh my god help me, it’s just store after store after store. Like, come pay $180 to come shop. Is there anything i’m missing if i skip the nation’s thing? So far only China has been really cool to look at.
Edit: damn the feijoada is the best food i’ve had today!
