Hi!
Sadly during the hurricane people were driving very frantic. I was in the left lane when someone cut me off and I swerved into a ditch. I’m okay and so is the car! But sadly I do have a bruised shoulder with the imprint of the seatbelt, a pretty badly burnt wrist because for some reason in my adrenaline I decided to open the hood and pull out some grass that got in there, and my sciatic hurts a lot (tingly hip traveling down and some jolts of pain). I’m in a safety critical role which requires me to not be in the shape I’m in. Anyone have experience with stuff like this?
Extra info: I’m full time former college program, other driver was already speeding and didn’t stop, no health insurance yet as I just started full time with the company, didn’t go to doctor because I am okay and the hurricane was hitting that night.
hi!!! i’m isa and i just got accepted, i’d love to meet other people going the same dates as me (January 13th-May 15th). I’m 23 and recently graduated for Fashion design with a Costume design emphasis. i love costumes and i hope to work as a designer for disney parks some day! some of my other interests include all things movies (AMC A-List Member), monster high dolls, all things disney parks (my home park is disneyland), and other theme parks in general. I’m also non-binary and would love to live with another lgbtq+ person to be more comfortable! feel free to reply or dm!
I have an extra bone in my foot that I am getting surgery for next week to remove it. I will be in a boot for almost the entire spring and won't be able to stand on it too much especially in January and February. If I'm applying for the January start dates, do you think the DCP will help make accomodations for me? Even if its I'm able to sit in a chair every once in awhile, that would be amazing and helpful. Is this something that will bar me from getting selected for the program? Is this a case that I'd have to talk with my supervisor in my specific role about? Thanks for the help!!
I plan to apply to the Disney College Program soon and am curious which roles I’d have a good chance of getting if they’re in my top 3.
Anywhere close where i can go on a bag, or spar? Does the flamingo gym have a bag that i havent seen?
I finally got my acceptance email (which couldn’t have come at a more perfect time), and I’m so excited! It’s going to be my first time moving out of state so I would love to get to know some people before I go! My dates are 3/10-8/21.
A little about me: I’m 25, currently working in the vet med field. I’m an online history major. My hobbies are writing, a few video games here and there when I have time, and reading. My current obsessions are Star Wars, comics, and really anything fantasy related. I’m usually a pretty quiet person until I start getting to know people!
If you’re along the same lines, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! I’d love to chat with y’all!
Wooooooooo
bit of a wierd question but let's say that I earned all the passes I could one year would I still be able to earn more the next year even if I haven't used the ones from the previous year? My family is coming to visit next year and I want them to be able to have at least a few park days but we're a pretty big family
cast members there right now- are you all okay? how is everything after the hurricane? did you guys have to shelter?
This may be a stupid question but idc my sister wants to help me move in for my program but I wasn’t sure if the move in date is the same as the arrival date because I know there’s traditions and things like that could someone help me out with like a timeline my arrival date is march 10th
How do I look at my record card? 🙃
ok so i’m gonna be doing my second program at the start of next year and last time i came from the west coast with only as much as my allotted suitcases could carry. my mom shipped me some stuff from my room (mostly clothing and a blanket) that i ended up having to mail back with the stuff i acquired during my program.
this time i have a better idea of what to bring and what i’ll need, and i plan to live at flamingo again bc i won’t have a car at first and need the buses. i’m hoping to stay permanently after my program ends this time but im curious, for those of you that did that after your program ended, how did you go about getting all your stuff to your florida apartment if you were out of state? did you bring it with you at the start and just get a storage unit? did you go home and pack it all up and drive or mail it back? did you just start over and leave the original possessions at your family home?
my mom is probably selling our house while i’m gone and moving to another city for work so i’m not sure what to do like should i store it at home before i leave and go back? should i get a moving pod or something and have them hold it until the end of my program? feeling very confused
If say you are in the middle of your program and you interviewed for a job somewhere and landed it can you leave the program then and there to take it?
Just as the title suggests.
Or are you just left hanging without a response instead?
Can Dutch people do this program and how do i apply for it? The Disney program support isn't really helping
Sooo… I didn’t realize how important the points were until I was looking at extension opportunities and they said no more than 4 points and/or 1 rep. So, I decided to really look at my record card, and I have amassed a total of 6.5 points in only two months. Half of those points I shouldn’t have gotten, but I don’t know what to do now.
I have two 0.5 points from my first day of work for clocking in late and forgetting to clock out, which I didn’t even realize was on me since I was in training, and it was literally my first day of OTJ training, I remember my trainer saying not to worry about it but here we are. I have another 3.5 points for calling in sick a few times and forgetting to clock out, which are on me because I couldn’t trade those shifts and really needed them off. I have two points from the same day on October 7th for being a no-call, no-show, and clocking in after two hours, which is crazy because I spoke to a leader about having to start my shift later because of a doctors appointment and she said would change my time. When I got to work, I couldn’t even clock in until a coordinator changed my time. They said they would figure it out so I could at least get paid, but now I have two points for the situation. I called the exact leader I spoke to, but she hasn’t called me back. I understand there’s a lot going on because of the hurricane, so I’ll just have to wait until tomorrow to figure that out.
Honestly, I’m just wondering about my probability of getting my record card cleared of the first two from my first day of work and if it’s possible to still get hired full-time/part-time with my record card looking the way it is if I can’t get some of it cleared.
Hi! I was wondering if anyone in cast life knows where to see how many hours I'm scheduled each week. I want to see how many I'm scheduled to see if I'm able to pick up at all
I'm mostly asking this because I know slip resistant shoes get expensive so I want to know if I need to keep an eye out for my own or if Dinsey provides us with a certain kind of shoe.
I am very excited (and nervous) about my DCP next spring. I have social anxiety so making new friends has never been something I’m good at lol so I wanna get a head start!
I am pretty good with the flow and enjoy lots of things so I am easy to get along with :)
My name is Nat, I am 24 and will be 25 when starting the program, my pronouns are they/them.
Here are some favorite things: my favorite music artist is Taylor Swift, favorite color is green (but I have been loving burnt orange at the moment), favorite Disney characters are the Scarlet Witch, Maleficent, Tinker Bell, Ahsoka, and Jessie (yes all iconic women lol), I play Fortnite and dress to impress lol, and I can’t think of anything to say but yea that’s me lol
Oh I also have a car!
My instagram is nat.r.true if you wanna chat on there :)
I start on 1/13 and have my program set to go until 6/12 but I need to end on one of the dates in May, does anyone know how I can change my dates or if I even can?
i saw something online that we have to have all black water bottles. is this true, and if so is it for all locations?
what is the time frame after accepting the program, for dorms registration and the 1-9 paperwork?
I'm really confused about Full-time CPT as an international student. The Disney College Program is full-time, which means I'll be working over 20 hours a week. However, my university says I can only do full-time CPT during breaks (like winter and summer). Since this program starts based on my choice (January to June), how does that work? If I want to work from January to March and then return to my university, is that possible? Also, with full-time CPT, I understand I can study and work, but how does it work if I need to take in-person classes while doing this program?
I'm currently applying for the Disney College Program (DCP) for spring 2025 and have some questions about housing. Once accepted into the program and after arriving in Florida, do I have to pay the housing fee monthly, or is the fee included in the program fees? I'm a bit confused about this.
First question: Are off days consistent?
Second question: When I was in the military, I got caught with weed. I also failed a drug test in the army. They have asked me about those things. What are the odds I get denied to continue with my dcp? Also, how long does it take for them to let me know once I submit the requested info?
*I got released from my military service but it was Honorable Discharge
So I'm an Applied Math Major graduating this December that's interested in applying for the DCP. I'm an international student so I'm planning to apply on OPT. A student on OPT has to get work directly related to their field of study. Even though the DCP says all majors are welcome to apply, I'm still unsure whether it qualifies as being directly related to my major. I mentioned the DCP with my DSO but they told me they weren't familiar with it. Does anyone have any advice?
Has anyone been accepted to a Professional Internship for Spring 2025 yet? I've gone through a few rounds of interviews and completed the final one, just wondering what the timeline looked like for anyone that's been accepted.
How do you connect to the wifi? It worked no problem for me the first 1,5 months. Then after i got a new phone and i tried to connect that to the wifi its just a white or black screen and never loads me onto the page where you log into your pavlov account or whatever its called. How do i fix this? Really tired of buying data because i cant use the wifi i pay for.
hi friends! ill be honest, im a total noob to all of this, so if this question seems silly i apologize. when the requirements list being either currently enrolled taking college classes or graduated, does it mean.. just about any college classes?
here's the thing. i do NOT want to be in college. i have no desire for a degree. would it be possible to get just a couple classes that are easy and managable for myself, and have that considered being "in college?" or do i have to be on the road to a certain degree/career path?
if it changes anything, i want to be in entertainment primarily.
