So I made an impulse decision and requested to be cross-trained. However, I just got my training schedule and if these hours are a reflection of what I'll be working in the future, I'd rather just stay in the role I have now, lol. Does anyone know if I'm allowed to ask to be taken off the cross-training list or am I too late?
How much should I disclose about my disability in my phone interview? I’m having trouble imagining how to talk about my top 3 role choices and why I want or don’t want certain roles without discussing my limitations due to my disability.
What roles would y’all in the dcp recommend for someone with disabilities like pots and endometriosis? My pots causes me to have horrible heat intolerance so ac is preferred, I can’t stand for super long periods but can mange about 2hrs before I really need to sit due to dizziness and potentially fainting, and I need to be constantly hydrated. Endo causes me leg pain and I currently use a cane due to limited mobility from the pain but I’m having surgery in December so hopefully by my March start date I will be mostly cane free.
Due to Endometriosis I will need a guaranteed 2 days off a month for the first 2 days of my period and it’s a little hard to plan in advance, if it comes late or early. So I would most likely need to request the day off day of instead of in advance. Would points go against me or is there medical accommodation for that?
Is there any way to guarantee no more than 30 hrs a week? Is there anyway to only work 6hr shifts or is that just not realistic?
If I get accepted for spring 2025 and I end up deciding I’m not physically up for it yet post surgery is there any way to like differ and come in fall or would I have to cancel my ap and completely re apply?
Any insight you guys have would be so helpful! Thank you all for reading if you read till the end 🫶🏼😅
Which of the premium extensions are the hardest to get/have the lowest acceptance rate? Just curious
what was your role and would you choose to do the disney college program again, knowing what you know now? i’m scheduled to do my program starting in january and im curious to hear about y’all’s experiences!!
Hello,
I left the program back in May but I accidentally got a package shipped to Flamingo west How can i get that package shipped to me.
Hi. I’ve been hearing a LOT of talk about dcp finding local sugar daddies etc. Is it true? Has anyone done this and willing to share?
Hello, I am doing the DCP in January; I will be flying from Miami to Orlando (yes I know it a 3 hour drive but that’s what work best for me) and will not be bringing a car. How long does it take for them to assign you a room key at check in, and would I have to lug all my stuff until then. With a car, you are able to leave all your stuff in there as you do checkin, however flying in, I will be Ubered over to FCV. I want to know your experience and if someone went through it, to let me know how to make the process easier. I will be flying in same day, as it is less than a hour flight over to Orlando. Thanks 😊
im starting my program soon and have a question about bags. Obviously i dont know where ill be placed yet, but are there places for me to leave a bag with a water bottle/lunchbox? If I bring a backpack is it too big?
Hello everybody! We’re a fairly new podcast called “The Jungle Hour,” a comedy and leisurely podcast with some episodes focusing on Disney, as both of our hosts were two-time DCP/CEP Participants with a love for Disney!
In the near future, we want to share our thoughts and experience on the Disney program by answering questions other Disney enthusiasts may have. To gather some questions organically from Disney people, we wanted to make this post to offer anybody the opportunity to comment any questions they may have about the program (no “dumb” questions, please ask anything you may have).
If you’re interested in watching our show and giving us a follow on social media, simply search thejunglehourpod on Instagram, or use the link tree in our bio on Reddit to see all our streaming options and social media platforms!
We look forward to seeing what questions you all may have to ask for us to potentially answer in a future episode.
Thank you everybody, and as always, stay Wild!
Hi so I booked a hotel for myself and my boyfriend. I have us staying at a value resort but I might want to switch for a more expensive hotel. Is that possible? I've already set a deposit
In a DCP linking server for networking there was this guy trying to sell people off campus living for exorbitant prices but after checking IPs, and poor continuity. There is a high risk of Scamming not including links he posted contained malicious content. If this guy trys Dming you please take caution!!!
i’m a brown girl joining the dcp in spring 2025, looking for some other brown girls as well, drops your instas please!
Hi! Coming down end of the month and always enjoy meeting local dcp people. This time, I’d like to chat before I arrive. Open to talking, going for lunch/dinner parks together (I have my own tickets) etc.
Sound fun? Let’s talk dm me
Hello everyone here is the link to my two previous posts so you know the background on this question.
Thanks again to everyone who commented on my last post. I have, maybe, one final question. I did finally decide and I am going to go in January, I am so excited and have been dreaming about it every night and I am excited for this opportunity. So my question is how should I leave?... As you know my parents are controlling and when they found out, they did everything they could to keep me here. I am leaving on Jan. 11th with my bio mom so she can help get me settled. I just don't know if I should tell them a day before my flight or if I should spend the night at a friend's until my flight and call them, or if they call me, and tell them when I am at the airport so that way if they try to tell me no, they can't reach me since my phone will be off when I'm on the flight.
There is that little voice in the back of my mind that tells me this is not a good idea, but that is just me trying to talk myself out of it. So I just need opinions on whether I should tell them the day before OR text them/call them when I am boarding the plane.
Thank you!
Hi! I've already joined facebooks groups and followed the insta, I'm struggling to find anyone with my dates. So if there's anyone here hit me up!
Recently got a position for Resort Concierge and I have buyer's anxiety with items I have never bought before, worrying that I'll hate it! I have bad knees and arthritis, so I'm looking for shoes that will ultimately provide support while fitting the dress code.
I was considering Croc brand flats and was wondering if anyone currently uses those or has any recommendations?
EDIT: Thanks everyone for your input!
I was just accepted into the Disney College program. I am a UCF student as well and I’m confused on if I can continue taking a full semester of Ucf courses while doing the Disney college program. Has anyone else done both? And would you recommend it? Thank you!
Hello everyone! I will be arriving February 24th is anyone looking for a roommate?
Has anyone put in a medical accommodation for their role? If so, how long did it take for you to hear back after submitting the paperwork?
Did any of you have to submit any documentation for accommodation requests? I want to be prepared
1- What are the rules on what we can wear to the filming event? I have one of those red festive sweaters from WOD. Are those allowed?
2- How does the entire process work? Where do we enter and check in for the event and all that stuff? I signed up for the 9pm slot at Magic Kingdom
3- when bringing guests, do we have to register them somewhere or do they just enter like I do?
hi there!! i've searched a little on here for group chats for jan 6 arrival dates and found very few results sooo if anyone wants to be part of one i'm willing to make one! just message me your insta or comment it here so we can make it! for reference this gc is for anyone 18-24 :)
Hey, I’m sorry in advance if this is a dumb question! But I heard through someone that we get 3-day park hopper tickets for us to use between our move in day and Traditions. Can someone verify if this is the case or not? I’d love to visit the parks in my free time when I get there, but definitely wouldn’t be able to swing paying for tickets. TIA!
Hi guys :3 I have my move in date set for Jan 13 (which is a monday) and my parents want to help me move in. However, they usually have work on monday (one of them is a teacher). Does anyone know if there is a way to move in on the sunday prior? 🙏🏻
Hi! I just got accepted into the disney college program and really want to go! I am also a master's student at UCF and will be taking 3 classes online next semester. I am curious if anyone has taken masters classes or a heavy academic course load while in the program and if you think it manageable. I need a B in each class (B- and lower is failing) but have decent time management.
Thank you for any advice!
Im beginning my program this december as a international student and im lost about my role. From what i've gathered it means Frozen sing along, Indiana Jones stunt spectacular, and Hollywood Studios parade audience control. Does anyone know if this means ill be at the three of them? Last year i did Tomorrowland Rocket Tower and my roto was between both attracions, is this location the same? please help!!!
hi everyone. regardless of who you voted for this election, with the new president i am reconsidering the dcp. i am a transgender male and im worried about living in florida under this new presidency. should i be worried and actually reconsider?
I am looking for friends and/or roommates who are 21 and older. I’m a laid-back person who enjoys having fun, watching sports, laughing, listening to music, and making people’s day. I’m currently majoring in Business Administration and have been working in hospitality since 2019. I’m a responsible female who prioritizes handling business before everything else. To be honest, I always get my work done, so we will definitely have some fun regardless! I'll share my instagram too.
Hello, I'm going to visit my sister who works at Disney in the DCP for a few days at the parks. One day that I'll be there, she works at night so we are spending the morning together before she goes to work. She is using her Chip n Dale tickets on me.
I know that she needs to scan me in first at the beginning of the day, but if I want to park hop after she goes to work is that allowed? Or does she need to scan me in first to every park I go to? We both aren't sure and I'm seeing conflicting info online.
Thank you!
