A place for discussion of Apple's operating system for the Apple Watch

Yes, I think it should be in the control center. It's definitely very inconvenient to go through the settings because it is a feature that should be switched on/off rather easily and the control center would be the perfect spot for it.
I haven’t used my Watch since WatchOS 9 but now we are on 11. There’s two things using music on the Watch I can’t figure out.
Now it’s gone, all I can see is about 6 albums as that’s all recents sync on the watch itself compared to like 30 on the phone. Did they remove it?
After the update, I began to notice that when a new dynamic element appears in the stacks, it starts to light up in a locked mode, although I always have to return to the watch face. Is this some kind of bug or new reality?
Has anybody else noticed that 100% does not mean your watch is fully charged? I have seen that a few times recently. I think it says it is 100% when it is somewhere around 90-95%. It is kind of like how “full” is reported on the gas level in a vehicle.
I always charge my watch before I go to bed. Usually I put it on the charger in time, sometimes I’m late or we go to bed a little early so it doesn’t get as much time on the charger. Last night I pulled my watch off the charger just as it hit 100%. A few minutes later it was 99% and kept dropping. Other days I leave my watch on the charger longer and it takes 15 minutes or more before it falls to 99%.
I don’t remember this happening with 10.x but I have also been more conscious of the battery level on my watch because it really took a hit with 11.0 and 11.0.1. It is better with 11.1.
This update includes improvements and bug fixes, including a fix for an issue with writing breathing disturbances data to HealthKit for some users. For information on the security content of Apple software updates, please visit this website: https://support.apple.com/100100
What is the default watch face of watchOS 11?
Hi,
ever since I updated to watchOS 11, my minimum and maximum breaths per minute not showing in my health app. This is an important measure for me, as I've noticed a correlation between how low my breaths go and level of tiredness. Is there a way to bring that back? I know the new vitals app shows the average breaths, but I'm really interested in the minimum values, as well.
I’m getting this weird bug in the Watch App on my phone, where normally tapping on the “Model Number” field in “General” -> “About” would show the model number that begins with “Axxxx” would have no effect. Strangely, when I tap on it and navigate to another app and switch back, the “Axxxx” model number would be shown.
Anyone also experienced similar bug?
FYI I’m on iOS 18.0.1 and watchOS 11.0.1.
Ever since WatchOS 11 the battery life on my Apple Watch Ultra is now less than two days.
Why introduce new features if it detrimentally affects battery life?
This is a cross post from r/AppleWatch but have had no responses, so I thought I would try here. I can't turn Battery Optimization off.
I've gone into the Settings, Battery, Battery Health and turned off Optimized Charge Limit. But at night when I put my watch on the charger, it doesn't show it's charging. Today I got up much earlier than usual and my watch was only at 85%, so it seems to be still in optimized. Any thoughts? Apple Watch 10 46mm running watchos 11.0.1.
I understand that OS updates are now finished for the Apple Watch SE 1. However, I know for example that the iPhone 8 continued to receive security updates even after OS updates ceased. Is that also the case with the Apple Watch SE 1? Or is it now technically a security risk to use?
I live in Europe, and every time I walk to my local supermarket (which is a 10 minute walk) I get a notification.
I find it hilarious, you get to see how the workout alert metrics are calibrated for American audiences 😂
Am I the only one that thinks this way? And am I the only one this happens to?
Are you also having battery problems with your Apple Watch since watchOS 11.0.1? Personally the battery is very random Some days (especially after restarting the watch or re-pairing it) the battery is good but it only lasts a day or two Then some days I end the day at 20% in less than 24 hours even though I don't have the always on display and I don't do any particular activity (while the day before I finished at 40% on the same type of day and the same parameters) I hope watchOS 11.1 will fix this problem Am I the only one? When will the new update be released?
Apple Watch Ultra gen 1.
Last charged to 100% yesterday at 9:00 am. At 9:00 am today I am at 28% battery when I usually sit at over 50% at the 24 hour mark.
Every fkn time Apple puts out a new OS version (like from 10 to 11) there is severe battery drain, whether for iPhone or Watch or MacBook. It's getting really old.
Hi, I’m developing an Apple Watch app, and I’m experiencing crashes only on the Apple Watch Series 10 with watchOS 11.0.
After checking with Xcode Organizer, I found that the crash is happening at `_UIGraphicsBeginImageContextWithOptions`. I think the cause might be the `ProgressView`.
Is there anyone else experiencing the same issue?
I posted same question on the r/AppleWatch too!

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I remembered that on watch OS 10, the notification vibration about "charge this watch before sleep" what a few short vibrations and now it's one normal vibration (like the default vibration), do you feel the same? It's weird, I prefered the short few vibrations like watch os 10...
In my Apple Watch series 9 gps + cellular with watch os 11 running. In batter settings last charge to 100% date is shown incorrectly and battery graph is not shown. Anyone aware of this bug? or any resolution?
When I dismiss a Mail notification on my Apple Watch, should it also disappear from the notification center of my iPhone?
Because this is not happening with the Mail and messages app, the rest of the notifications from other apps do disappear from the iPhone if I discard them from the Apple Watch
I have watchOS 11.0.1 and iOS 18.0.1
After upgrading to watch os 11.0.1 on my watch se 2nd gen. The battery is draining a lot🔋
Does the Apple Watch with watchOS 11 now recognize naps or not? If so, what conditions must be met?
No nap has been detected for me so far, even though I took a nap.
Before watch os 11 I was able to see what audio was playing from my phone directly from a watch face with the now playing compilation ,but ever since I updated to os 11, they completely ruined it, it only shows suggested songs to play and not even what's currently playing. They don't even give an option for it.
When I go to Software update, both on my phone (ios 18.0.1) and on my SE2 watch, it says
WatchOS 10.6.1
Your Apple Watch is up to date with all the latest bug fixes and security enhancements.
Is there anything I can do to get it to see 11? I've restarted (everything) and tried to check for updates both on wifi and cell (via my phone; watch is wifi only).
Since updating to WatchOS 11 I haven’t gotten a Monday morning Weekly Summary and smart move goal suggestion. Is this the new behavior or does that still exist? In the past, turning off Sleep Schedule temporarily would cause it to get pushed again but that is also not working in this case.
i, like many here, found that the battery life on my S7 took a nosedive with watchOS 11, and i’m wondering if 11.0.1 fixes it, especially when it’s being called out on the update notes.
I had portrait watch as a default with my best memories, wedding, wife, puppy, family photos, and have manually laid out watch faces for each photos which worked perfectly.
WatchOs18 seems to have removed the portrait but made the normal photo watch to be portrait, however, there’s too much bug. Manually setting up a watch layout per photos does no longer work as intended even it says it does. It seems to allow a single watch font size, and single font position for all photos. This must be a bug as it used to work perfectly fine.
Also the preview says it will show “09:03AM” for example, but it actually says “9:3AM” which makes it look ugly!!
Please fix this Apple!
Has anyone experienced an issue on the Watch 9 (or any other) with the weather complications, where any complication needs to be tapped multiple times to open? I was hoping the new watchOS 11.0.1 would fix the issue, but that’s not the case. This happens in all faces I use.
