hi! i’m a senior undergraduate in mechE (transfer student, 30F) currently on the GFH waitlist for student couples housing (partner is not a student, 36F). we have 2 cats and have been told we might get an offer by December, however we were unexpectedly displaced from our old apartment in August (found toxic mold in the walls) and are currently facing an emergency housing crisis.

as of now, we have to leave our temporary place by 10/21. we’re hoping to find someone who is subletting a place (don’t care if it’s a studio at this point, anything works), either long term or at least until December when we will likely be able to get an offer from GFH.

we’re also open to subleasing from someone off campus nearby, if anyone happens to have a place they’re trying to rent out.

Hello again San Diegans! Posting again for relevance. 

Investigators from the UCSD Department of Psychiatry are looking for individuals to participate in a brain imaging research study examining emotional learning via fMRI.

Eligible individuals:

1. History of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
2. Ages 18-60.
3. Normal or corrected vision.
4. MRI safe (e.g., no tattoos on the face, non-removable piercings, certain kinds of metal in the body).

Participation in this study would consist of three appointments:

1. Appointment 1: A mental health interview conducted over the phone or videoconference.
2. Appointment 2: In-person appointment where participants would complete a few questionnaires, computer tasks of memory, and an MRI of emotional learning (2-3 hours).
3. Appointment 3: In-person appointment held 7-10 days after Appointment #2 where participants would complete another MRI appointment (~2 hours).

You will be compensated up to a total of $210 for study participation. You can also receive a picture of your brain! If you are interested in participating, please call or text us at (619) 538-6733 for more information and to be screened for study eligibility!
