guys what are some hot professors/faculty??? i need someone to motivate me to show up to class
i def feel like the rates get higher and higher each year....but when i checked with similar useage this time last year my bill was 250 vs 270 rn. i'm in a 3 bed 2 bath single family home/ it sucks obviously but to me that doesn't seem that bad of an increase. i still hate pge but my roommates are like unplug everything, no heater on (even when the house is 50)... okay fine. I was under the impression space heaters don't save that much money anyways too (which is what they want to do). i'm willing to try things but i don't think it's worth being uncomfortable. however communal living means making it work so i'll work with no central heat on and see how it goes. so other than wearing thick jackets, unplugging devices like toasters and charging at school do y'all have any other advice?
& what do y'all pay for pge? (would love if you could including the living situation and # ppl in the house too for better context)
EDIT: we qualify for cares so the original bill is actually about 135 more...lol
Does anyone have any Davis recommendations for barbers or hair salons who handle longer/styled haircuts? I don’t want a fade and I’d prefer a salon that specializes in layering for my luscious locks.
Has anyone received acceptance for the UCD MPH program yet? How soon after acceptance do you need to submit your statement of intent to register? Can you see the amount of financial aid offered before accepting?
Anybody listen to that new bassvictim ep? Anybody like the hellp? Eh
Just to see wsg, how much are y'all paying for a single room in Davis? Obviously I know it depends on how many people are living in the unit, but lmk!
I was accused of asking a student out and then showing them an inappropriate video~ It came out of left field for me because I've had so many students as a TA over the last quarter I honestly didn't talk to any of them unless they needed to talk to me about their homework assignments and I graded very fairly. I can't think of anyone I pissed off.
I have cohort members who are angry with me right now, but I can't assume that they have anything to do with this.
The initial interview was really vague too, and of course, obviously to protect the identity of the complainant they just said the "student" said "this" and said you "showed" them this.
And then had me go to a psychologist where I told her the truth that I honestly don't know what's going on other than I have people I don't get along with in my cohort and I really don't know where this is coming from.
So I guess I'm wondering, why would they even reach out if there isn't any substantial evidence that could make them even initiate an investigation unless it was otherwise tech forged or something. Which I heard is really common these days and the use of deep fake videos.
I do feel like this is a claim made by somebody who doesn't like me.
So if the evidence doesn't exist, why would they even approach me or wanna have an investigation? Wouldn't that look dumb on the department? Or is that just protocol because every party has to be interviewed regardless?
Anyone have any experience with this?
I need to vent because what just happened has me absolutely livid. If you’ve ever biked or driven through that roundabout next to Khaira Hall and Latitude, you know it’s already a chaotic mess of bikes, cars, and pedestrians. But today, some genius on an e-scooter decided to take the chaos to a whole new level.
I’m coming through the roundabout, minding my own business, following the flow of traffic (you know, the way you’re supposed to?), when suddenly, this guy on an e-scooter comes flying in FROM THE WRONG DIRECTION. Like, full-on going counterclockwise in a clockwise roundabout. And of course, he’s got one of those obnoxious little horns that he’s honking, as if that somehow makes it okay to break every traffic law known to humanity.
I had zero time to react. He swerved right in front of me, I slammed on my brakes, lost control, and BAM—I’m on the ground, and my bike’s scratched up. Meanwhile, Mr. Scooter just zooms off toward Latitude like nothing happened. No apology, no “Hey, are you okay?” Not even a glance back.
What is it with some e-scooter riders thinking they’re above the rules? That roundabout is one-way for a reason! And don’t even get me started on the horn. Just because you have a little beeper doesn’t mean you can use it to justify being a complete hazard on the road.
I’m fine, thankfully—just a few scrapes. But seriously, if you’re going to ride an e-scooter on campus, at least have the decency to follow the rules of the road. And maybe, just maybe, don’t go the wrong way in a roundabout while honking like a maniac.
UC Davis, we’re better than this. Let’s all try to share the road responsibly, yeah?
TL;DR: E-scooter rider going the wrong way in the roundabout by Khaira Hall/Latitude cut me off, honked like it was his right, and made me crash. Scooter riders, PLEASE follow traffic laws!
Rant over. Thanks for listening.
Hello, I was admitted fall 2024 and I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to find lab opportunities/ get involved since I have heard it can be challenging, especially freshman year. I am not entirely sure how to go about the whole thing since it seems daunting, but I was wondering if anyone had any information / suggestions. Any help would greatly be appreciated! :)
Pho tasty has good food but the smell in that restaurant lately is insane. It smells extremely strong of sweat and body odor. I don’t even go to school here but I visit and I’ve noticed that over the past year it’s only gotten worse started off small and now it’s next level. I enjoy the food but going there lately is crazy I’m wondering if anyone else notices this or knows what it is?
Does anyone know if there is a lost and found in Wellman Hall? I left a tote bag under my seat in wellman 202 when my class ended at 4pm today and it was gone when I went back at 6pm to check for it.

I’m a first year with a green card that moved from Massachusetts, what are some other cheaper insurance plan here for domestic/residential alien that can waive SHIP? I saw some other ones like student Medicare but from what I understand it’s exclusively for international students. Thanks!
Any recommendations for affordable and good apartments atmost a 35 min walk away from campus?
If you don’t mind my cringy meowing back, cute cat at the co-op. Super friendly, loved, made me feel better right after my exam

Hi guys! I’m a psych major and for my core requirements, I have to take a bio psych course. I really want to take PSC 126 with Hostinar, as I’ve heard she’s a great professor, but it’s recommended on the degree worksheet that PSC101 should be taken before. Has anyone taken 126 it without taking 101? How was it?
