I was a peer tutor in undergrad, and greatly enjoyed the experience, so I'm offering here if any UCI students are interested! I'm best qualified to help out with classes relating to circuits, signals and systems, E&M, and semiconductor physics.

Hello! I’m currently in CC pursuing an associates for transfer in Psychology, have already submitted the TAG to UCI for Psychological Science but am having second thoughts about my major of choice. I’ve always been a business oriented person and went into Psych with more of a focus on marketing/HR/social media manager, or to leverage closing in sales. I’ve been enjoying my Psych classes but have been anxious looking at the job market for the major. I was wondering if it’d be possible to add a minor in Accounting or Entrepreneurship, or if possible outright changing my major completely. (Another semester and I’ll have all my Psych prereqs filled, only Stats & CIS 13 for Business prereqs)

I really do not understand. I attended the OFAS walk-in last week and one of the desk ladies said, “There’s nothing to worry about, I’m sure next week (which is this week), you will get an email to confirm the amount of aid you’re getting this quarter.”

Then I asked, “Am I missing any documents?”

She said, “No, you’re not missing anything.”

Then OFAS sent me this email this morning! I was so scared, I checked my own ZotAid to see what is going on but lo and behold, everything is in order! It is fine! All of my documents are NOT MISSING. Yet, I still do not move on from the very first step (still no financial aid confirmation whatsoever)

So is this a mistake, an automated message, or OFAS just really does not care about their student’s financial well-being? October 18th is getting near, I do not want to get dropped from my classes, not when I tried so hard to get into them

actually sick of this i keep looking for jobs and wait for people to say something and then they never actually say anything. have applied to at least 20 places and have heard back from only 3. insane work. please do better and not ghost people. you can just tell them they're not the right fit. why do you just leave people hanging.

and yes, i know some take weeks to respond. that's fine. but ghosting is just unacceptable. this has happened to me wayyyy to many times.

The complex is huge with several pools and jacuzzis located all over. This particular apartment is super close to the pool and gym area.

You’ll be walking into a fully furnished apartment and your room comes with a bed, mattress and a study table.

Me and my roomate appreciate cleanliness and hygiene. We aren’t big decorating people but you’re welcome to 😊 all we ask is that you don’t leave a mess of our common spaces.

We are both in college and are very social people. We like going out and meeting new people.

Hi UCI friends! I’m a junior transfer student at UCI and just started my first quarter. I’ve been parking in the anteater parking structure from around 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with no complaints. There are a few evening events on campus coming up that I want to attend and was wondering if parking in the anteater structure is okay until around 9 or 9:30 pm or if I’d have to park somewhere else. Any help would be appreciated!

Are fraternities worth it? I know nothing about them, or how much effort they require. I'm a bit more reserved but I'm open-minded to socializing more. I don't know if they would be welcoming to people like me. Please let me know your experiences! Thank you!

Hey guys Just wondering is anyone on here a military connected student with ch.33 benefits who also gets financial aid? I have not received my financial aid disbursement check what so ever and their saying it’s because of my VA relations. (for context the VA pays for my tuition). Idk what to do considering i’m off campus with bills to pay.

I am sooo lost. I received my reimbursement check but nothing has been inputted into my zot account it still says I owe, but when doing the math for my financial aid package I was suppose to be completely covered. When will the grants and such be inputted into the zot account, or should I be worried and go talk to someone?

I've already asked to submit, and have submitted the said information to receive my Cal Grant, and I haven't gotten it yet, is anyone else having the same struggle or received the aid yet

I went to the office this week and they said they’ve processed my documents this week and they’ll probably have the aids out about 15 days. And NOW they are giving me this. I don’t know what to do now, they’re just fuking around with me. I’m stressed the fucked out…..

i am getting initiated tn, however i am most nervous for the mentorship program. the process isn’t as cut throat as the other pre-professional frats in terms of requirements, however i feel like my low gpa follows me everywhere. fucked around too much my first year (and found out) as a pre-med and have never recovered in stem hence the major change into social science. i thrive in almost all my class and cannot get my gpa up. hope to get some insight on what could possibly be the gpa minimum to receive mentorship. gpa is in between 2-3.
