Hi! I am in San Diego for the first time. I just finished my work in SD and will fly back to my home tomorrow night. I have free time until 8 pm tomorrow. I reserved a rental car in the morning (fully refundable in case a better plan comes out) as I have thought about driving to Carlsbad or Long Beach with expecting to enjoy the coast view.
Google map says to take I-5N road to go to Carlsbad from San Diego. Does this road have a good view of the Pacific Ocean? I would like to enjoy the view of the coastal line. Could you please give me any other suggestions if there is a better way to enjoy the ocean view? I was too focused on preparing my work before coming here and couldn’t prepare for travel at all.
I would appreciate any advice! Thanks!
hi guys, we found a little black pug in El Cajon at Mollison/Greenfield. There were a lot of fireworks going off from various neighbors so he was really spooked and mightve slipped his leash? He's an older fella, super sweet and very trusting. We have cats and couldn't keep him overnight and none of our neighbors knew him so we took him to the County Animal shelter at 5821 Sweetwater road. Really hoping this little guy has a microchip, he is seriously the sweetest dog and I bet he's missed terribly!
Hi everyone! I just got my first jury summons in San Diego county and have to report to the courthouse tomorrow at 7:45am. I’m still new to this area (living in North Park for 2 years now) and am still very unfamiliar to downtown. Does anyone have any recommendations for parking? Any recommendations on lunch or coffee spots?
Thank you all in advance ◡̈
Did anyone else catch the bright light that shot across the south east part of the sky? I could see it from north park. Just curious if anyone else saw it/what it was? It was pretty bright for how early it is!

I had to step out of my car when putting the ticket into the meter and it dropped out. If anyone finds it would you be able to return it to the security at UTC La Jolla? There’s some cash in there so please take it as it isn’t as important as the sentimental value of the wallet for me. I only have 2 IDs and some cash in there but it would be really great if I got my wallet back. Thank you!!
It happened like right in front of H Mart and Applebee's in Clairemont on Balboa and I think Terry Bennett Dr is the side street (on the side I was on at least). I couldn't see much besides the 1 car here, ambulance, and some ppl I didn't see until after the bus moved. From how the car's facing, I can't tell if someone hit them and maybe kept going or what since I couldn't see if there was another car. A little nosy but I just wanna know what happened.
But anywhere near downtown is chill. Thinking something that’s sort of unique or memorable if anyone has ideas or places they’ve been and enjoyed. Restaurants mainly but also looking for activities or hikes. Thanks 🤙🏼

I’ve been sitting on the five for about an hour. Maybe move a few miles. Oh the map, it shows red in every direction. Anybody know what’s going on?
What’s going on with Genesee near UTC. It’s grid locked for multiple blocks.
Does anyone know of any coffee shops that host birthdays ?
Anyone wanna be friends in life? I am tired. I just want solid humans who like to hang and don't always need to drink. Im exhausted y'all. I have friends but they no longer live here and it isn't the same. And that's okay but I'm tired of starting over or dealing with insane responses to a small issue that could be a simply conversation with respect .
Hi, does anyone know what details will be shown on the marriage certificate issued by san diego county? can't find relevant info online and as i known las vegas' ones won't show previous marriage info. we prefer marrying in SD if it is same as vegas. my partner does not want to show his previous marriage (ie. divorced) on the cert. Thank you!
Heading up there this weekend and I'd love to hit wineries that have the best grounds and/or views. They could make the worst wine possible, I don't care - I just want to be wowed by beautiful views, scenery and the tasting areas/grounds. Obviously, IF THEY MAKE GOOD WINE, that's a plus.
2 in La Pressa area and 1 not in Granville, all with evacuation orders? Seems a little suspicious to me.
Yellow alert appeared on my phone at about 3 pm. In North Park/ Normal Heights area. Anyone know what it’s about? (Neighbors know nothing)
In 1941, Highway 101 between Torrey Pines and Del Mar was a scenic route known for its winding curves and views of the Pacific Ocean.
The highway served as a vital connection between San Diego and Los Angeles, carrying travelers and locals through the picturesque coastal landscapes. Lined with sandstone bluffs and native vegetation, this stretch of Highway 101 was a favorite for leisurely drives. It also played a crucial role in transporting goods and services along California's coast, making it a significant part of the state's transportation history.
