Are you kidding me??? They’re so good
Literally has been on repeat for weeks I can’t stop. What’s wrong with me
I've heard many different theories. I've had several of my own. I'd like to hear yours.
The pricing is insane. Mostly sold out, a few tickets left at $350 for the very last row, all others >$1000 or resale for $500+ each. Don’t think I can justify it.
i know some parts are not 100% identical to the album art but i do not care at all. my artist drew the stencil herself for the most part i believe, so there are bound to be some differences, and i prefer it to be individual from others’ anyways :•)
A picture for one of my favorite songs!
Best shins song imo. I'm not a girl but I was listening to the shins around 3rd/4th grade and told my teacher they were my favorite band when she asked the class. I felt awkward at the time but now I like to think I came of age before my time!!!
What's your favorite song, or one you really resonate with?
Am I crazy or does anyone else notice a similarity between the two songs? The first 20 seconds of each song sound nearly identical melody-wise, not to mention the thematically similar lyrics. And on top of that the keyboard solo in Onion seems to quote the “Light my Fire” riff towards the end (at 1:07 in the song).
Any chance Mercer and gang going on tour any time in the foreseeable future?
I saw the concert at the Ritz in Raleigh NC back in 2017. I have been searching and searching for it. Anyone know if it exists?
I'm due to get married next year and would love to incorporate the shins into the big day. What songs do people recommend I ask the dj to play in the evening?
hi i love ranking things and hearing opinions about it. my favorite shins songs are as follows:
honorable mentions include: girl on the wing, a comet appears, simple song, the rifle's spiral, phantom limb
The TV show “Chuck” was how I was introduced to their music. A Comet Appears played in the first episode and it was so beautiful that I had to listen to all of their other music.
Heavy listener back in 2013 when I was in high school. Recently got back into James again it’s hitting like crazy.
Port of Morrow album is sooo good. Lookin at you “Fall of ‘82”! And I hear we may be getting an album soon? I’m ready!
I love the shins- always have and always will. Unfortunately my job plays the song “great divide” and when i heard it, i couldn’t believe it was them. it was one of the worst songs i’ve ever heard, and i just had to get that out
I heard So says I on Gilmore girls and loved it!I want to get into their music but idk where to start!
I’ve just noticed more social media posts in the past few weeks, new ig photo etc. I’ve been re listening to past albums and am craving a new one. Thoughts?
Does anyone know if James's participation at the Portugal the Man Show in Portland on Saturday is just him performing with portugal, or an actual opening act set? I started getting targeted ads on Instagram that made it seem like James was doing an opening sets, but the only text I could find mentioning him makes it seem like he's just playing along with Portugal the man.
Now i'm hoping to run into some other fans out in the wild
