Subreddit Rules

1. No Hate Speech

This is a good community and we would like to keep the good vibes all around. Posting or commenting aggressive or insulting comments could be cause for a ban.

Basically - treat others kindly! If anyone has been harassing you, please message the mods and we will take the appropriate steps.

2. All posts must be related to the band or people acquainted with them.

This includes the core 4 and others like Ariel Rechtshaid, Jenny Lewis, etc

3. No Invasively Personal Conjecture or Paparazzi-Style Posts.

We allow the personal content that anyone in VW chooses to share publicly to the world. It's cool to personal information WHEN it's been announced, by him. What isn't cool is the tabloid gossip rag-stuff that was being posted. Likewise, if Ezra wants to come out about more details about his relationship with Rostam, in a Beats 1 interview, sure let's chat around that. But speculating crosses the line.

4. Self-promotion is fine, but only in comments, where relevant. Don't spam.

Feel free to showcase your art or covers but keep selling to the comments section.

5. All Works Need Credit Posted.

We take plagiarism very seriously and is a bannable offense.

Feel free to post another person's work but there needs to be credited to the original artist.

6. No Spam Posts.

We understand that you might see something that reminds you of VW out in the wilderness but if it doesn't directly relate to the band, please don't post it.

Please think before you post.

7. No Unofficially Released Material.

All music linked from the band must be official releases. This includes linking to other subreddits where you might be able to find it.

If the album or singles leak, we will make a spoiler thread but asking for a leak or sharing it here could be a bannable offense.

8. Purchase at Your Own Risk.

Exchanges and purchases of any good (tickets, merch, etc) or service is done at your own risk.

Rock songs like ending part of hannah hunt

Can be from other artists. Any suggestions? I'm talking of songs which are entirely like that part. Or if you can help me with the name of the rock sub genre it would come under

EDIT: Thankyou soo much to all who responded but I think I should add that I'm looking for songs which are entirely energetic like that part , I'm not looking for a build up 😭 but thankyou again!!

Holy shit. Just listened to this song in full for the first time. I think I may have found the vampire weekend song that gives me the biggest pit in my stomach but in a good kind of way.

Looking for a tour poster digital file!

VW did a special poster for multiple cities of this year’s tour (Only God Was Above Us) and my sister is desperately trying to find a digital file for either the Austin or Dallas show to have printed! Anyone have any leads? Will pay!

Gen-X Cops on vinyl sounds off?

https://reddit.com/link/1gdgmra/video/2eebzgpj4cxd1/player

So I bought OGWAU on vinyl yesterday, I got the time to spin and it isnt anything too crazy. But, I can't help but notice, things feel different? The most obvious is Gen-X Cops. As you can hear in the video, the drums sound completely different, the chorus feels much more dead too, as if subtle atmospheric elements are just gone. The main riff isnt in the clip but when it would play, it was really muffled behind everything else. My setup isnt the greatest but Ive never had an issue like this on any other record. Every track after this was perfect btw. Although, I will say the separation was clearer in the outro of Gen-X Cops, so its not all downsides. Connect was also a bit strange, all cymbals that play during the part at 3:23 were just gone. My right channel speakers are admittedly lower volume wise due to some issue but, the cymbals were just completely gone, could not hear them at all. I wanted to check if anyone else has any issue like this? Maybe it's worth getting a replacement from the record store. If it helps, record did also come a little warped, but not enough for it to affect the sound, I doubt it could cause this weird issue.

Taxi Cab / Tell Me Lies

If anyone else watches this toxic show lol thought the use of Taxi Cab was perfect for these scenes knowing the storylines. The music on this show is prime 2000s indie bangers.

Another clip from the Grammy Museum performance on Monday, 10/21/24. They took requests at the end, a couple VW songs but mostly other artists. Such a cool event!
