I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport and I have a issue with the door Ajar warning on the gauge cluster. When I start the vehicle there is no issue. If I open the door and close it the "DOOR" warning shows up. No interior lights or warning sounds activate. If I shut the vehicle off and turn it back on it goes away until I open the door again. It's superficial but annoying. Appreciate the help.

I am riding in my first ever Jeep right now, it’s a 2015 Jeep Cherokee with the 3.2L v6, only downside is it’s FWD. I’ll be honest though I’m just happy to be here. It’s the best vehicle I’ve ever had and I’ve had many different types of vehicles. Everything from an 03 Focus hatchback to a Ford Econoline. It’s not my dream Jeep but I’m still so appreciative of what I have.

Hey fellow community members, so my 2022 honda civic tourings lease was going to end in August, and since I've been driving honda cars for most of my time I was planning on changing it up a bit and getting into a Jeep Wrangler especially since the weather were I live is really unexpected. So I talked to a bunch of dealers in my area and came to a dealership today which quoted me for a brand new 2024 Jeep wrangler sport s Unlimited for 672$ CAD per month at 0 down for 60 months. My initial budget was 650$ and this is probably one of the closest to my budget. Just wanted some insight if this is a good deal or if i should wait out a bit longer.

I have a 1978 Jeep CJ7 that I’m looking to change the transmission fluid on but have no idea which transmission fluid it needs.

It’s a 4 speed, not sure if it’s a 3.8 or 4.2 motor.

Getting mixed results when googling as some places recommend ATF, or gear oil (I imagine not ATF for an old manual?)

Also, I took off the fill plug to test the level of the current fluid and it started pouring out a ton so the prev owner definitely way over filled it. The current transmission fluid came out black and resembled very used motor oil and smelled bad…

Looking for a specific brand and amount of fluid I need to buy. Need to be able to pickup at Oreilleys, autozone, etc this week.

Any help is appreciated. Whatever fluid I replace it with will also get some of the Lucas transmission fix additive as well.

1. My clock keeps falling behind. Everything couple weeks I have to bump it up a couple minutes. Anyone know of a fix?

2. My navigation--I never updated the app like I should have and now it appears to be too old to do so. Is there an option to do this?

2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lerado 4x4 single speed transfer case having a vibration under acceleration, ive already changed cv axles on both sides and still vibrating on acceleration, mostly at 20mph and higher i suspect it's the front driveshaft my question is can i remove it and drive around without doing damage, to confirm it's a bad front driveshaft?

My 2015 JK sees very little use and only has 37k miles on it. Fired it up for the first time in awhile to a misfire. Checked codes and have a P0205 misfire/circuit open on #5. I changed the coil packs and injectors and the misfire is gone but the code keeps coming back.

Thoughts?

Lifter or cam lobe? Am going to check the oil filter for glitter later but wondering if anyone has dealt with this on a JK. I hear it’s somewhat common. Would love to hear some other thoughts on what to do or troubleshoot next.

Was just about back home when my radiator inlet hose suddenly broke loose from the radiator, pissing hot coolant everywhere. I immediately parked and shut her off. I let it cool down for a second and checked the hose - no tears or damage, must've just been loose. I clamped it back on (all the way and with good clamps). parked it and let it sit overnight.

Started her up this afternoon and let it get to temp and it climbed up to 237 before I cut it off. What could have that hose coming off do to make it start overheating now?

No leaks (Coolant reservoir is 3/4 full), fan/motor replaced in Nov of last year.

Any thoughts?

Can anyone help me to understand what is happening? Got a grand Cherokee on Friday. Everything working fine and my phone is connected to CarPlay and displaying Waze, Spotify, etc.

This afternoon out of the blue I cannot connect to car play. I’ve restarted both, removed my phone, added my phone too many times to count. The weird thing is that the phone and Spotify still connect through the media toggle.

If anyone can help with this issue I really appreciate it! Here’s a picture - my phone used to have a little car play icon next to it after the white bar. Now it’s gone, but when I plug it in there’s this generic iPhone showing up and the CarPlay icon, which doesn’t work. Just super odd.

I have a JK planning on running around 500-600 hp through a AWD T-case for street only.

J8 axles are mostly bolt on kinda not really, the J8s are beefy but have a D60 rear.

The JL 392 axles are much wider than the J8s which I'm not a fan of, but the JLs are much stronger up front, not sure if they are stronger than a D60. From my understanding the JL and JK have very similar frames so some if not majority of the mounting on the axles should be identical

The J8s use the 5x5.5 wheels which have less options and forced to use a -10mm offset for the only wheels I've liked so far

My jeep was not blowing hot air, just warmish, so I replaced the thermostat with an OEM part from the Jeep dealer. Seems like its blowing hot air again, but I'm having trouble burping the system and it seems like it running hotter than usual but the upper and lower radiator hoses are cold. Whats the most likely culprit.

It’s stuck in vent mode. We had a nicer day this weekend so opened the sunroof and it just makes a god awful grinding noise. Tried some things I found to “reset “ it and now it’s stuck in vent mode . When I try to close the vent, passenger side goes down further than it should while driver side stays open.. I checked the tracks and no obstructions. I’ve seen the same issue online but no solutions. Anyone else run in to this?

Howdy folks, looking to update the head unit in my Gladiator and was hoping for some feedback on units folks actually have and like. I’ve had hit or miss experiences with some of the larger (more gimmicky) screens on other vehicles and would prioritize quality over size.

Have a sub and amp combo already in vehicle, looking for Apple CarPlay (that works consistently) and hoping for a screen size around 10” or so.

I have a 2013 Jeep Patriot Sport. I work in maintenance and have access to supplies and a workshop, so i was thinking of just fabricating my own roof rack for my Jeep. From what i could find online, i could buy a generic roof rack for ~$180 new.

I was planning on just fabricating 2 cross support beams to mount to the OEM rails. and then bolting a grated platform to that. Does this week like it will be worth the effort? or should i just buy a cheap roof rack off amazon or something.

Hey there, have a 2023 jeep wrangler hybrid and this morning, the check engine light was on but i was able to drive it to work - however when I go to restart the vehicle, it thinks it's still plugged in to a charger (it's not) and therefore won't start. Anything i can troubleshoot before i have to resort to towing it?

My wife is in the market for a new ride and has had her eyes on the Grand Cherokees for some time now.

Hello. I am going overseas for a year and leaving my 2011 jeep wrangler unlimited at my moms house. They will try to start it and drive it but don’t really see them using it often. It will parked in the back yard (to not take driveway space). Will be in Gainesville Florida weather. What are good tips to make sure my Jeep is ready for me when I return? I was thinking about getting dehumidifier bags. Should I leave the gas tank full? Fluids? Anything else? I appreciate any tips!

I am hoping to purchase this 2023 Wrangler 4xe later this week. I love everything about it the car except for the screen on the inside and I have been considering having it replaced. I would take it to a shop rather than doing it myself but before making that decision I wanted to get some insight from 4xe owners or people who are familiar with electric cars/hybrids. Can anyone share their experience with changing the screen in their 4xe? Have you experienced any electrical issues since changing the screen? Can you still see the hybrid stats on the screen replacement; If so what screen did you use? Is this a bad idea overall/ will this lead to electrical issues? Finally; if it were to lead to electrical issues would reverting to the factory parts fix these?
