The window button broke. I can worry about fixing it later. for now, I just want to know if there's a manual way for me to roll up my window so that my items don't get stolen.
Anyone haul a small motorcycle or scooter on a hitch carrier? I have a 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with the factory towing package. Thinking about taking a couple of long road trips next year and was thinking about bringing a scooter. Wondering if anyone here has tried it and can provide some feedback? Looking at 300cc scooters or smaller.
When I had new struts and shocks installed recently the mechanic reported I had swollen lug nuts and they'd need to be replaced at some point in the near future. When I took it in for my normal tire rotation and oil change the dealership (non-Jeep dealer) reported the same and I'd probably be best off replacing them at the next tire rotation. They quoted $408 and they'd have to order from Chrysler. Intrigued by the price I called my shop and they said it would range from $375-400, so the dealer quote was fairly close.
I can/will do some google-fu but was wondering if there was some special place where I can get a better price or should I expect to pay in the range as quoted by my normal mechanic? This isn't my first car and not my first Jeep but it is the first time I've had this particular problem.
I have the dreaded CA14A7-97 code on our 16 cherokee latitude, but every post I've seen people mention they get the 4wd unavailable warning. I'm only getting the 4wd service message and light(solid, not flashing) and the 4wd is still working.
Anyone else experience it like this. I have a appointment Monday morning to have this looked at plus a software update from a recall but curious if anyone has been thru this. I've been searching since yesterday and can't find any resolved cases of people that still had function 4wd but had the code pop up.
So I was curious if anyone has had this happen to them. Every once in a while my Jeep push to start has issues starting. Doesn't happen all the time. I have less that 38k miles on it so I wouldn't think it would be starter.
I haven't investigated yet. I figured it could have been with me replacing the fuel injectors and having the fuses unplugged... But I wouldn't think that it would still be happening.
I have another injector that's open... So I figure I would replacw them all. Has anyone jl used the cheaper ones from Amazon? I was curious to get a set for around $70 and not having to pay $100 per injector from Mopar.
My wife drives a 2016 Cherokee limited she called me today saying her car says service transmission told her to shut it off and open and close the door and restart it cel is on at this time she gets it home and I pull codes and I have the codes in the picture below (I am a heavy truck and diesel mechanic) from what I can find on the internet the vehicle speed sensor could be the problem however I can’t find its location any help is appreciated this newer cars are foreign to me lol
I’m helping my buddy replace his struts and strut mount tops for his front suspension. We switched to Bilstein struts with KYB strut mounts. Does this foam piece need to transfer to the strut mount, or can we just mount it on top of the spring without the foam?
managed to snag me another '17 V6 Trailhawk just like the one that got totaled on me Jan. of '23....2 or 3 scratches but none serious, 1-owner immaculately kept, not black like the last one but I like it....called "Rhino" color....so far no problems....so glad to be back in TH again....
So I acquired a cherokee from my dad and before I got it he cleaned it out and slid the rear seats forward. Well now the driver side rear seat is stuck all the way forward and won't unlock. It seems like the inside mechanism might be releasing but not the outside or door side mechanism. Anyone ever have this issue or have a fix for it?
We bought a 2020 trailhawk that had large tires on (not sure what size exactly) and had been lifted 2 inches. Dealer did change to stock size tires when we bought it as the other ones were rubbing (even with fender modifications the prior owner did). Well fast-forward to a couple months ago and about 50k miles on the Jeep we started hearing a creaking sound from the front suspension. Took it in and lower control arms and ball joints were shot, we had the extended Mopar warranty which covered it. However, they didn't realize the aftermarket lift on it so it shouldn't have been covered, looks like it is a MFC puck style lift. They had to modify the control arms to fit and then refused to change the ball joint due to the aftermarket suspension.
My question is really what type of suspension would you all recommend? Dobinsons is who the dealer told us to use. We want to get all new shocks and everything so we don't have this problem again and wear out everything too quickly? Bilstein was also on my list but they are backordered.
I wanted to remove the MFC lift but since the modified the control arms we can't now.
Has anyone purchased mirror extenders for towing? I towed a big covered trailer awhile back and couldn't see shit. I was just curious for future purchases
I just purchased a 2019 Cherokee Sport (loving it thus far); when looking at aftermarket accessories, I'm getting a bit confused - a lot of sites (Including the Mopar online store) don't show the Sport as a trim level at all? As far as I can tell it's a Canadian trim only, but is it effectively the Latitude? If not what are the differences?
I ordered TRQ struts for my wife’s Latitude and they were over an inch too long and impossible to install. The parts company sent me a full refund, but I wanted to see who you recommend to get struts from. I am trying to avoid Mopar if possible because it’s going to be close to $800 according to the local dealership’s parts dept.
Should I be looking for struts that fit a ‘19+?
So I have a 2019 Cherokee limited, and I want to do upgrades but performance upgrades are kind of unrealistic on this car so I want to do some body mods. I’m trying to find a carbon fiber hood for the car but I’ve looked for a while and haven’t seen anything. Any recommendations help
Is there anyway that I can easily disable the remote start function that operates from the key. Occasionally if I’m parked at the shops and come back to the car it’s remote started when I’ve locked the car. So I figure the key is playing up to an extent.. Fortunately the few times it’s happened it’s only been left running a few minutes. But I’m dreading it happening and not noticing overnight for example.
What are my options to remove this feature?
hi guys, I bought my jeep new. I originally got somethings like 22 to about 25 mpg l now am getting 17 to 18 mpg. Same routes and everything. That being said the transmission got replaced at 28k now 32k (clutch decided to turn its self into glitter). Is anyone else having this problem. I've done premium gas for it's entire life kept up on oil changes and done ejector cleaning kits once every 6months air filter about once every year. The thing shifts hard and clutch acts like it's getting dumped from an higher rev almost like it's not rev matching. It's also using 5th gear going 30 mph, I understand the transmission has a break in period but 4k+ seems ridiculous. This thing left me stranded for a month without a car because chrysler took their sweet time finding a transmission. Any body know the cause of this?
How are you all checking / clearing your codes? I saw JScan, but it doesn't seem to support the KL...
Do I have to bring this to Jeep to clear? My local mechanic didn't have the new Jeep License on their snap-on reader.
Waiting on my first major repair any day now.
Looking for white plastic clips to hold the rear trim. Where can I find them online? Also looking for trim piece replacement. Thank you!
I have ‘20 Trail Hawk 3.2 V6. When towing something around 3500 pounds do I keep the drivetrain on auto or set it to 4wd? Thanks!
So I am looking for this user lol.... if anyone can help me I would gladly appreciate it. I have a bunch of questions on my 2017 kl including ecm programing, rpm raise for "trans brake" and spray or boost. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Would rather not invent the wheel and have a " knock knock... who's there cylinder 3.... preferred lol. Thanks for the help in advance!!

Hello everyone, I'm interested in the 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 2.0L - i4 and I really like it after my test drive. It is at 86000 km with no accident. Is there anything I need to know about this model as well as how to take care of it as it is my first car if I decide to buy it? Thank you a lot.
