Okay so I got a 2015 trailhawk and it needs an ac compressor replacement. What's a reasonable price, I've been quoted 1400 at a few places or would it be cheaper to do it myself then just go in for a recharge?
Planning to redo and upgrade my Omaha Orange renegade into something like this. I’ve found most everything else I need. I’m looking into led headlamps that I can change to red any suggestions is helpful.
i'm looking to upgrade the head unit in my 2019 trailhawk, the only one i seem to have found is the XTRONS option. overall it seems like it will be fine, primarily just want it for android auto and a better interface in general. i'm just trying to make sure it can still control the heated steering wheel specifically, i can't seem to find that information anywhere. if anyone has an answer to this or any other suggestions for good head unit options i would appreciate it!
Ceramic coated my 2015 Renegade this weekend, very happy with the outcome! :)
Just got a 2017 jeep renegade and I absolutely love it! I know nothing about cars but want to be more proactive in the maintenance. I have read a lot about them needing an oil change more frequently, any other advice?
Hey, just bought a 2018 Jeep Renegade Latitude with just under 67k miles. It was a pretty quick purchase but I’ve done some research. Two things popped up that seemed pretty useful to know. First, that is an oil hungry engine. How often do you guys change the oil? I couldn’t find exact mileage. Second, I saw something that said they weren’t worth keeping after 100 to 120k miles. How true do you feel that statement is? I just want to get an idea of when I should start looking for something else. Also any other advice would be helpful for a new owner. Thanks, and I’m glad to be part of the group!
Anyone here who cartops a big kayak (96 lb in this case)?
On my old much larger SUV I would just slide it up the side, paint be damned. Not trying to obliterate my new Renegade like that though, curious what y'all are doing.
Clutch kit is $350 but the flywheel is $1,200 🥴 and wondering if a new flywheel is necessary. It’s a 2015 1.4 turbo FWD w 118k mi.
I currently have 93k miles, a kenwood after market stereo, and a pedal commander. This past month, twice my airbag light came on (each time it was after getting gas). Yesterday we disconnected the battery to see if a reset would help… now my odometer is blinking. Does anyone know what might be going on? Thank you!!
Best day of my life. A duck and a pink llama. Ordered the duck sticker things
Hi I have a 2015 renegade and I was wondering about good products to restore and help the black plastic around headlights look better and stay looking good?;
My car came without an engine cover and I’m pretty sure. This was a tie down spot for it. Do I need this bolt for anything?
It looks like there’s oil coming out of top. Is this bad or normal? 2016 2.4L MultiAir
My second renegade is 2023 and the dealership said they cannot get any factory remote start because of back order. So i went the aftermarket route and every single place is telling me that nothing compatible , because Jeep didn’t put any software for it ????
Has anyone else run into this ?? remote start is essential for me , specially in the winter , i really want to find a solution , any thoughts or suggestions ???
What is projection manager for on the uconnect panel for? And what is the hill decent feature for?
Jeep renegade 2016, so no CarPlay on the Uconnect screen.
Pros about portable CarPlay:
Cons:
Overall I'm very satisfied.
What's the best accessories you've found for a 2023 jeep renegade? Best Bluetooth android auto adapter? Best tires? Roof rack? Gimme it all! Lol
Hi everyone, I have a 2022 Jeep renegade trailhawk 30k miles. Today it has been giving me high coolant temp warnings as I drive around. I saw some other posts on here saying it could be cold weather? It’s been about 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit all day. Thanks
Nothing special just a 2015 renegade latitude. Not even 4wd, but I love the look (: it’s my first car fully in my name too.. great on gas and everything so far
I plan to get a 2020 with 4wd when possible
Hey all! I was driving home from work going about 65MPH when suddenly my dashboard said 4WD unavailable and then my jeep shut off. Engine, lights, everything- it was as if my car was in park and I turned it off myself. After about 15 seconds I was able to start it back up and made it home without any issues.
This was terrifying as you could imagine, luckily I didn’t cause an accident. I just got an oil change like 3 months ago, no service warnings on my dashboard. My head gasket blew about 2 years ago and I got a brand new engine.
Not really a car guy and don’t even know where to begin. I’m going to take it to the dealership tomorrow but wanted to see what the community thinks.
We got a lot of rain today and there’s been flood warnings in my area, temperature outside is 40 degrees (including this in case weather can contribute)
Anyone have any thoughts?? Thanks a bunch in advance..
Wanted to share how I fixed my leaky vacuum pump on a Jeep Renegade 1.4T. Most of the times the leak is from the seal between the engine and the vacuum pump mounting bracket. My advice is to change the o-ring between the mounting bracket and the pump internals when doing the seal as I did the job twice because of that. The o-ring is available online but I am based in eastern Europe and it was not an option. I went to a seals shop and got it separately. If you go to a shop make sure you bring the pump with you so they can measure the groove. Tell the clerk that it is for a vacuum pump as the material of the o-ring is special!! Also I advice you to change the o-ring on the vacuum connector. It is special material also!! When assembling the pump be sure that it is rotating freely! It is tricky to assemble. If it is not assembled well it can break your camshaft! I believe the t-25 bolts should be tightened to 20 nm but check twice. The ones for the engine mount are 20nm. Happy wrenching!
